Taimi is the new asura joining our destinies edge 2.0 and Scruffy is her golem.
Taimi is a young asuran progeny with a custom golem that she rides on the top of. Her personallity is snarky, and childish, but her intelligence is also evident.
Scruffy, the golem, seems a bit… well.. mentally challenged. He is very lost, random, and emotional. though he also is very cheerful.

Quite frankly, i just cant help but think that Taimi is extremely similar to Gaige from borderlands 2… almost exactly similar. At least when it comes to personality and mannerisms. As for Scruffy, he reminds me of Catbug, from bravest warriors. Sounds a heck of a lot like him too.

I like all four of the characters mentioned so im not upset about it, but im just curious if the devs got their inspiration for these characters from these, well, other characters.

What do y’all think?

These guys haven’t had anything new since ages, so now they record how old things get mixed to make things that seem new.

Well.. this is strange. Scruffy does sound familiar in my case at least. I’m an RPer and my asura has a golem called Fluffy, which judging by the description of Scruffy, has the exact same personality. I can’t even. I don’t even… so much for using the newly tradeable mystery tonics to RP as my golem Fluffy… I’m just going to stop RPing forever now.

She reminds me of little sisters from Bioshock tbh.

And can every1 stop calling the new group DE 2.0 already?

I know but I read somewhere that devs confirmed them NOT to be the new DE, so it just annoys me when people assume they are >.<

what exactly is that… where do you get that from?

The devs call them that.

Bi for a second set of racial characters.

Iconic because Destiny’s Edge was called the Iconics being iconic of each race.

so Bi iconics or Biconics.

Where are people getting the stuff about the golem? I didn’t see anything about it at the marionette or in the story instance.

I like her (Taimi). She’s a child that can use her age as a means to an end (watch the moment’s peace storyline instance and you’ll see what I mean). It also helps that an asuran child is being voiced by none other than the VA for Jimmy Neutron.
