There are several blueprint drawings in Scarlet’s lair including one of the slides you see when you open the console that show the thing the marionette lowers out of as a drill.

I didn’t see the screw in the bottom of it. So, the thing in the sky and the thing in the picture, are they different or the same?

Upon further review of the drill picture, I came to the realization that it is actually the Pac Man Elder Dragon who we will be facing.

Has anybody wondered if maybe Scarlet is trying to destroy the dragons, but for a greater or different purpose than mere survival or insanity?

The cycle of the dragons and mortal races continues every few thousand years, this is historical fact, their return has been so far as we know, an unstoppable cycle prior to Zhaitans defeat.

When peering in the the eternal alchemy Scarlet saw it for exactly what it is, not a grand design but a machine of perpetual motion, a selfish system which creates and destroys life as a means of purposeless continuance. The realization that all of existence is folly drove her mad, and she just wishes to see it all end. She intends to stop the eternal alchemy.

From there however she could have two objectives depending on how the cycle of the dragons actually works.

A) The dragons and mortal races are a cog in the eternal alchemy, dragons always destroy the mortal races and absorb magic to continue the cycle. Therefore destroying either the mortal races or the dragons would break the system, the world would overgrow and choke if either were to be utterly removed.

B) Rather than a cog the mortal races and dragons work as a tumbler. Either the dragons destroy the mortal races or the mortal races destroy the dragons, and we just have no record of a victory for the mortal races. Either way it all starts anew eventually. If this is true, Scarlets objective is to zero point this tumbler, she aims to destroy both the mortal races and the dragons.

EDIT: Y’know, I guess the opposite could be true as well. Scarlet DID see a greater purpose in the eternal alchemy, and is helping the dragons to succeed because of it, to keep the cog spinning that she saw The Pact would inevitably destroy. I just can’t hold to the theory that she is trying to help us destroy the dragons, the whole ’she’s actually on our side’ theory. She doesn’t seem to care at all if all the mortal races are destroyed, in her poem she even stated she would watch the world burn. Whatever her purpose, even it it is destroying the dragons, she isn’t doing it for mortalkinds survival.
