I really hope all the Maguuma commanders are bracing for a WvW population drop-off if we actually reach gold tier. I know that many people are not looking forward to a potential match-up vs. the zerg servers with far better numbers for their WvW populations. Anyone that does not realize that gold tier will be dominated by JQ, SoR, and Blackgate are fooling themselves. I may go out a little, but I will not be hour after hour just getting annihilated by the sheer volume of numbers. No thanks.

Oh yeah, and thank you to the commanders on Maguuma that had the nerve to say I am worthless just because I am a realist in wanting to have better match-ups in silver over gold. Every time one of you open your mouth, you make me regret that I moved here after you all sold me and my friends oceanfront property in Kansas.

Good Fights, losing matches > PvD all week, win Matchup. Being outnumbered is more fun than outnumbering.

Being outnumbered 3-1 or 4-1 is NOT fun under any circumstances.

How do you figure? Being outnumbered 3:1 or 4:1 is the BEST way to learn how to get better and fight harder.

How can anyone LEARN from getting killed constantly in those odds? What are you smoking and can you pass it over please?

My take on the Sos/Sor/SBI ppt/rating and up for grabs gold league 6th spot.

Both SoS and SBI seem to still be turning out in decent numbers. SoR is controlling who holds PPT and how much BUT due to the 400+ SoR owns constantly there is a chance for Maguuma to pass SBI rating with a decent push.

Decide whether you want to try for gold league or not, it is your call and it is still doable.

If gold league gets rid of the karma train more power to it. Has maguuma ever been a winning server? No.

What we do know is that 7 weeks of stomping lower tier servers is not what we are after. There are at least 4-5 guild groups on mag that will be bored out of their mind.

If we’re really going to gold league, I would like to propose the Magswaggin Bagwagon.

For sale in WvW for just 10k Badges of Honor, the Magswaggin Bagwagon acts as a mini pet that autoloots everything for you and stores it in a spacious 1k slot inventory. I’m picturing a golden wagon, covered in badges of honor and drawn by a team of quaggan harnessed with swag chains.

Let’s make this happen.

I honestly don’t think silver would be so incredibly bad. It’d be worse than being in gold, but most of the matches wouldn’t be so massively disproportionate as to be completely unenjoyable. And, there’s the fact that the players in silver are better than the players in gold. Gold will offer endless opportunities to fight larger groups, but if you ever want a challenge from an equal number of opponents, I doubt you’ll have much luck.

I think we have a better chance than not at passing SBI for gold unless their weekday trends are stronger than weekend relative to SoR.

But it’s really up to them more than us because they are leeching so much from SoR regardless.

SoS is already guaranteed gold and FA pretty much guaranteed silver.

Meow is still looking for GvGs.

Getting into gold will be headsmashing into T3 keeps in our borderland that aren’t ours while complaining about T1 servers not fighting in the open field. At least GvGers will be happy though. The one redeeming feature that might save some of the fun for non-GvGers will be teaming up to take out the higher ranked server in the match-up. We will probably see some GvG guilds transfer over to get away from their current T1 queues as well.

Silver would probably be worse, everyone bandwagons to mag for an easy win of a stupid reward. PvD 24/7, everyone complains about other servers not playing – when they do play on reset the open field fights will probably be less fun due to all the bandwagoners who don’t listen. Some T1 guilds may transfer into other silver servers for less queues and less terrible wvw experience, so that might be a redeeming feature.

SoS will probably get even stronger vs SBI once the long holiday weekend for some US players ends. If Mag doesn’t tank we’ll probably get gold.

The only thing I think most of the Maguumites that are posting here are assuming is that most Maguumites don’t care about PPT or winning. My guild isn’t large, I don’t consider myself to be any kind of good fighter, and only have one toon geared to the teeth. Regardless, I’d rather take my licks and cut my teeth in more consistently difficult situations in gold than to try and find difficult situations in silver. You can sit on the benches for the next 7 weeks, but you probably should’ve stayed on Borlis Pass.

SoR doesn’t consistently queue all 4 maps during any timezone. Quit being such a crybaby holy crap. I don’t know Maguuma well but from what I’ve been reading it looks like there’s at minimum 4 organized NA WVW guilds? One guild per map + pugs on each map = enough to contend in Gold. Sounds like your server doesn’t want fair weathers out there anyways.

Anywho, looks like mag will be making it into gold from what I can tell. Looking forward to fighting you guys!

My guild isn’t large, I don’t consider myself to be any kind of good fighter, and only have one toon geared to the teeth.
