Glass ranger is a bad ranger imo. They’re fodder. Fit only for standing in the back ranks of zergballs as mobile turrets. A shame to the whole profession. Easily the most versatile profession in the game, utterly wasted.
If you can’t tell, I have no love for them lol. I used to be one, and it took a real ranger to show me just how bad it is.

Glass Rangers are kind of a waste….I have multiple setups that I can run on mine, but in general, if i’m going to run around with the zerg, i’m going to run a modified version of my TB build, basically forgoing TB all together (though its not bad in zerg fights either, as you can screw people) and simply doing the 30/10/30 build.
Fully stacked out I have 2100 Power/2000 Toughness/23k HP/slightly under 1k condition damage/30% base crit chance/68% crit damage.
Then its just simply a matter of rushing in with whatever zerg and spamming the bloody great sword 1 attack.
SBI representing here. I may try doing some runes capping achievement farming this coming week if I can find people willing to stop being lemmings and blindly following the commander around like morons. Hopefully we can work something out then so that you guys can get your achievements out of the way as well, since I can already tell this week is going to be rough for you guys.

I thought I had fun last week, this week is even more awesome! Some of the best zerg fights I’ve ever witnessed and for some reason I’m not lagging like last week. There have been some of the most epic defense fights I have ever seen of our garrison. Last night the over one hour long fight in our garrison, I swore we banner razzed the guild lord 30 + times.
That moment when NSP’s 2 biggest borderland defense guilds hop onto our BL immediately at reset, queue the map, and have Outnumbered buff in Citadel
seriously? The map was queued and you had the outmanned buff? How is that possible?
After you left last night, Olaf came into the BL with his crew then left, but we had a queue for 20 minutes afterwards, so something is lagging somewhere. I wonder if that was happening last week also?

our dedicated wvw players are the extreme opposite of fragile, even our casual wvw players are quite dedicated, its the half dozen folks that break under pressure and unfortunately have access to forums that are the problem. deep breath Tyops, its gonna be ok. just follow teamspeak commands and pick up all the bags after we run over the invaders.
To all SBI complaining about queues, the transfer server button is thataway.
To be fair, I think half of Stormbluff Isle is very familiar with the transfer button.

Sorry, not much you can do really. It’s a reflection of the population and coverage differences of the 2 servers.
I’m sure everyone on SBI would rather have constant matches versus FA, SoS, Mag, maybe even YB now(?).
It’s hard to expect our people ‘not’ to play a game they enjoy simply because your server isn’t populous at certain times of the day.
We experienced the same thing 2 weeks ago versus SoR.
You guys are really competitive throughout the day. I actually spent over 6 hours on EBBL today and you guys had great numbers all afternoon and evening and it was back and forth all day. We wiped 73 times at your garrison and we wiped you 73 times at Hills. Enjoy those moments and not the ones with the huge population disparity.

I was in there for a couple minutes, and there was nowhere near 100 people. Just be glad the 40 man “havoc” group wasn’t in there too. >.< We are in your BL, because we get fights and things to flip.
Thanks to the few NSP that were fighting us near SE tower in SBI! First time I have actually gotten a fight in since before reset. Was a lot of fun, and glad everyone (both sides) kept coming back after death. (I was the Norn with the hammer).

I’ve seen this from both sides of the fence. What I’ve learned is this.
Take it as a compliment. It means you may have been the only people giving good fights so people flocked to you. I don’t think it was about overwhelming you more then it was hearing a stand up force was putting up a great fight, and they wanted to be part of that great fight.

Wanted: oceanics with balls.
Then that’s where you need to make a decision as a player if you’re playing in the oceanic time zone.
Do the weeks against servers like ours who can put out large oceanic numbers impact your gameplay enough to warrant a transfer to a server that would better suit your needs as a WvW player?
Or do you get enough good fights in weeks when you aren’t facing t2 or t3 servers to warrant staying?
I personally play mostly in SEA, and am happy with SBI’s large SEA population that can queue a few maps a lot of times. If I were on a server with almost no SEA players, I would look at my options.

We did that to get into Silver and there is no way it would be fun or good for us to be the FA or SBI of Bronze league. Just my opinion….

Also alliances didn’t ruin WvW. Extending free transfers from 2 weeks in to 6 months in did. That created the initial imbalance that then led to even more bandwagoning.

Ebay and NSP you all are the lucky ones this match. I’ve logged on for about 45 min total. Can’t motivate myself to go in when we have 400+ PPT.
Anet took way too long to even acknowledge that WvW population disparity was a problem. I don’t have any hope they’re going to fix it any time soon.
Dont think anyone is lucky in this match, just a flaw in the “league” idea. I’m happy they tried something new for WvW but this was quite foreseeable.
Yep rings plenty of bells. I was speaking to the fact that over the last 6 mos while most other servers were playing “bandwagon server hopping” we stayed pretty consistent. We have been on a pretty straight line while other servers have been a huge roller coaster ride. Again past is the past, speaking about the here and now you can’t deny the consistent presence we have had in the last 5-6 months. As to the queues, we saw a huge influx of PvErs, which is great… Now most just look at the scoreboard and decide to wait it out I guess. No doubt we have fewer this week, but I still see the same ugly mugs when I log in.
In regards to the SBI guys, frankly, I don’t blame you guys for doing what you’re doing. You didn’t design the matchup and I’m fairly sure if the roles were reversed we’d be doing the exact same thing.
What gets me is the ‘league’ because this match highlights just how stupid an idea it was to reward servers based on ‘performance’ IE: PPT when the matches are so skewed it’s not even funny. If the players could foresee who was likely to win this league before the match even started it boggles my mind why no one at A-Net could. So we’ll have to put up with 7 weeks of this nonsense for what, is basically, a foregone conclusion. EXCITING.
Though I am glad we finally got some payback on IoJ for always double teaming us when against servers like yours, that was worth it. Glad that, at least, we won’t be the lowest ranked server in Silver League.
This matchup is pretty much Zero Fun, NSP gets stomped, EB gets stomped, SBI get bored of having 400 PPT. Sometimes I question why Anet made up this Season thing when they one server will stomp the others . EB is already losing morale and making alot of people rage quit when they play WvW. Even if you try roaming 90% of the time there will be a SBI zerg going to stomp you anywhere you go, and if you try commanding expect also a SBI zerg to stomp you because any offensive force shown on the map they want want “fights” which they really arent getting because they have numbers 10 times our size.
I’m pretty much done with this game mode to be honest if we have to deal with 7 weeks of this crap.

That EB human thief with the dreamer, I like that build he/she is using. So many boon and evades. Fought to a stalemate a couple times yesterday morning on my ranger but my other alts just get stomped.
Abys, you are a pathetic guild to camp jumping puzzles. Don’t you actually have something more productive to do other than kill people who refuse to fight you? Go PvE or something.
Do remember that, that person may have been a PVER that may be looking for achievements and stepping into a jumping puzzle for the first time. So if you die there, whoops

Hi, I’m one of the guild leaders for [GH]. We are feeling really guilty about the circumstances in which we took the bay in NSP BL from SBI. I just wanted to put it out here before we got called out on it that we did not intentionally try to steal your bay using a glitching mesmer.
Inside of GH, we have several thief/mesmer combos that specialize in sneaking in and hiding in enemy keeps. The mesmer who portalled us into your fully upgraded bay was in our TS channel, but he was not GH, he did so illegitimately, and our commanders on at the time did not realize this was the case until after the same mesmer pulled the same stunt to get back our bay on home borderland before somehow finding himself in an enemy keep (that no one had touched) yet again in NSP BL.
He has since been reported by the GH community and the other guild leaders on ebay have been warned.

We saw you guys (GH guild) using portal into the inner wall to jump into lords room while NSP was attacking fairly from the north. Emrhy bay didnt get into lords room for as long as i have been on the map so that portal was imposible. We were trying to get screenies on that on the next takes since sbi bay has been taken the same way a couple of times.
