Well lets see here……1st week even with JQ transfers we held on to win, 2nd week SOR comes out destroys us for 3 nights 17 k lead and guess what? BG plays the game came back and beat you by 100 k. Evidently the Russians are gods among us and scared an entire server into oblivion…..

Week 3…… A joke so far, BG will not care what you do or attempt to do etc etc etc in week 5, 7 or beyond, come back and beat us GREAT. It’s a game to be played if you chose to forum fight go for it, if chose to keep doing whatever your doing go for it, but stop acting like you cant play by the same rules as JQ and BG and any other server for that matter. I doubt SoR has any more internal drama than any other server. As it is, you’re pointing the finger the wrong way. If anything, BG broke this match-up by stacking guilds. That would be a handful enough, but toss in SoS riding your coattails, and it’s rough out there. Not that I blame SoS, really: They have a tasty carrot of second place danging in front of them. Yummy. So what if it costs a little integrity, right?

Don’t be concerned for SoR. You’ll still find us out there, looking for fights, when the various guilds hit their prime-times. But I think many of us have way, way better things to do than try to compete in some inane PPT game against BG blobs. At least I know I do. There is a very famous military maxim often attributed to Omar Bradley but perhaps dating from Clauswitz or earlier, “Amateurs think tactics, professionals think logistics.”

We all spend gold on upgrades, superior siege, consumables. Yet using some of that same gold to help allies move to a server is somehow dishonorable? That is an interesting imaginary line to create. Particularly when I know that at least one SoR posting in this very thread had their way paid to join SoR.

Every serious WvW commander knows that it isn’t tactics or skill that win a week long match-up. It is coverage. Did you honestly expect Blackgate to sit around and do nothing as JQ/SoR flip our T3 keeps and gain easy points during SEA/EU? We had a massive coverage gap. ZD helps to fill that hole.

We didn’t expect it to crush the spirit of SoR in one fell swoop.

SoS is confused whether they’re double-teaming or not, SoR are a bunch of whipped dogs, and BG are conquering kittens. I think we’ve established the current modus operandi.

The anonymity of the internet makes it so easy for someone’s true nature to shine through. That’s not always a good thing to see.

Truth is if SOR does indeed implode BG can kiss goodbye to it’s SEA/EU reinforcements just as quickly they are proud and respected guilds they are here to fight players and aint going to tarnish their guilds reputations with boring pve door.

If your feeble attempt at humor is to reference people from SoR commenting about Bg performance in the past, let me just say that that individuals do not speak for a server. My post isn’t aimed at BG as a server either.

People from SoR can’t control what others on their server say, any more than people on your server control what you obviously have to say.

Finally, something about SoS in this thread! It was getting lonely here being left out of the drama and excitement.

This match week is a blast and fun at the very first 48hours.
I would like to congratulate SoS for doing so well so far, even better than SoR expected you to do. I think SoS is going for 2nd place to gain 3 points this week, if so that might hurt SoR even further in their “Elites Guilds Pride” that they are the only ones to believe in.
I will tell you I have more respect for non-affiliated wvw guilds’ players from SoR because they are getting hit hard and keep fighting because of the behaviours of some of their wvw guilds that are hiding in pve now: these guilds that treat them so bad for so long calling them pugs, rallybot etc… and not caring nor respecting them. If you feel hurt then just move to another server you ll receive more consideration and respect.

As i said in map-chat, almost all are running with the karma trainer and i think i saw also most tags including some of yours in there so you might ask you own guildies.

Dont you think its ironic that the many calls to use ts have lead to an advanced stage of karma train. Even if i wanted i could not go on ts because i cannot tolerate this kitten. The only thing this does on sos currently is that it upsets the wvw peeps and attracts farming guilds.
Also, the fact that no one dares to speak up against it and that our wvw base basically dont play and therefore seem to encourage farmers even more that what they are doing is right, isn`t really helping.

I could go back a few weeks and quote Man at Arms going that we lost ppl cause of the karma trains and no ts. Well, gg, now we have karma trains and ts.
Even if it gets me on ignore lists i will be happy once this weekend is over and we get stomped again.

Only blatant 2v1 this evening was when we took Lowlands; BG broke the back gate open as the lord was bannered for the 5th or so time, but stood around blocking SoR rather than rushing to contest themselves.

Anything else was just a tendency to aim for t1 towers rather than t3 towers. SM was still contested for basically everything other than the later stages of the Lowlands cap.

On the other hand, I’d say it’s clearly in our interests to be pushing for 2nd, rather than flailing at the server clearly in 1st. Just as it’s quite likely in BG’s interests to give 3 points to a server who’s not going to be capable of placing anyway. What exactly is the problem with playing to maximise league score?

SoR wins: that’s right we won 1vs3; some of our guilds were training and count as one server against us.
SoR loses: kitten you and your 3v1 (training guilds again).

BG wins: that’s right kittenes, we would’ve crushed your 2v1 even if we had not bought these spare guilds.
BG loses: hell they quit two days after reset. The excuses could be anything.

Just got back from spawn camping SoR. It was great! After so much complaining from SoR players, we just decided to slam onto SoR’s keep and spawn camp. We even did a costume brawl, put up merchants, and danced. No sense in humiliating a good rival in SoR, but when in the past SoR has done the same thing to lesser servers and complained so much about “bought this” and “bought that” we couldn’t help ourselves.

I am a native Blackgate player. Most of the zerg that spawn camped SoR are native to Blackgate as well.

Also, SoS didn’t necessarily agree to any 2v1. They outright avoided us and didn’t want to deal with our force. They were steamrolled twice much like how SoR was steamrolled repeatedly and decided to dance away from us. We allowed them to take your keep because it was in our power to without even having to communicate anything. Our queues are long, but no one complains other than the casual joke and sometimes “pls Anet, bynd mist now”. We even took SoS’s Stonemist Castle because we just felt like it, and then ran back to spawn camp again.

He is a commander hogging eb since this match up and got just over a 1000 achievment points and i have been wondering if that is a bt player who came over with the needed funds. On second thought i would totally be not surprised if its one of ours with a second account. Apparently vh got back-up on the karma train support as well.

Again, even that will be dwarfed by the satisfaction of having reduced SoR to tears. An added bonus would be causing SoR to implode. That would be the real icing on the cake

And why would you want a T1 server to implode? To have less competition. So I guess you do not care about competition and just want easy win.

We all want a server who puts up a fight, not one who resorts to PvF as soon as the opponents put up a little competition. TC would be far better a T1 server than the current SoR with that attitude of theirs.

Why do certain people from BG care whether SoR puts up a fight or not? Worry about your own server, and let SoR handle it’s own. The politics and health of another server shouldn’t be anyone’s business but their own, regardless of who they are.

The vast majority of the BG posters that post their vitriol, have some unhealthy hate for SoR. Holy crap, it’s a game. Is this the common mentality of people these days? To irrationally hate someone they’ve never met, to the point of wishing that their community will implode?

The anonymity of the internet makes it so easy for someone’s true nature to shine through. That’s not always a good thing to see.

e.g. Fann Wong. Every post I see from him is diplomatic and friendly/kind in nature. I won’t name names for the opposite types. You know who you are, and it would likely result in the post being removed.

TLDR: mind your own server business, and let SoR take care of it’s own.

Read up on some of the history behind SoR and BG/SoS and you’ll see it is well deserved. SoR had this coming.
