im not sure what to make of this statement but you are asking me if the people i killed and can kill are uplevels? well if you would consider your roamers, VR, Ark, iLL, kitten , BT, INC and PYRO and some great guild less ones, then im guilty then of killing such uplevels.

Yes, but our consultants on Blackgate were able to confirm that it was an even number of Maguumies and SoSsies. Gotta get an unbiased opinion.

“such wow”? “Much GvG” “So Roaming” There is a doge here!

Actually if you have followed previous matchups between SoS and Maguuma, the battle is always close but Maguuma typically loses due to an aversion to playing for PPT and pushing hard over the weekends.

It’s small by the standards of the top 4, but Maguuma has a really good early NA/EU presence that’s tough for anyone else to contain. They do 70% of their PPT from 10am to 5pm server time.

Mag has a really strong NA with a moderately good EU with no SEA\OCX.

SoS has a really strong SEA\OCX with a non existent EU with okay NA.

Such a shame that FA tanked from T2 on purpose since both SoS/MAG don’t really belong in T2 but I am enjoying myself when we do have equal numbers with the T1 servers since the fights are pretty good.

I somewhat disagree with this. The jury is still somewhat out for me on the subject of Maguuma, but they actually fought to get here compared to FA/SBI that could have easily been here so I’d rather fighters be in T2 than the quiters. To that ends Maguuma belongs in T2.

From an SoS perspective I really like how that server has been coming along lately. It wasn’t as dominate/competitive as it has been in the past, but with guilds like Agg, EP, and CNB it has really made the NA stronger. It isn’t stronger really by a PPT perspective, but the strength is highly present in open field combat and I’d be willing to say GvG wise it is probably top class (this is all assuming guilds like Agg stay). If I was going to join a T2 server ATM it would probably be SoS because I like how it has shaped up (I don’t plan on leaving my home though on BG unless something drastic happens). I think out of the servers current in Silver, and out of current T2 with the exception of TC (TC has shown they are the most dominate in T2 and deserving of a shot at T1), SoS belongs there more than any of them and could potentially slip into T1 one day if population goes in their favor.

The little guys of T2 need love too, and shouldn’t be discounted for their hard work/efforts.

SoS is a great server, but some people don’t like the lack of structure, as we are very “play your way” in that we encourage every guild to play however they want.
Outside of Friday nights where we try to avoid stacking up too much on the same bl’s, every guild is free to play wherever they want, and no one gives people crap about PPT.

We’re zergier than Maguuma, but we share their love of open-field fights.

Compare to FA that is hardcore into PPT and will always focus the weaker of the two opponents they face (at least pre-season they did).

We’re there, holiday + some mobo issues has personally kept my play down a bit though. I was in the EB puzzle last night though wearing my [HUGS] and [DUEL] tag accordingly. We often (varies person to person) shed the [RIOT] tag to avoid being overly-focused. Keep in mind we also are an extremely small guild of tight-knit players. It is a rare occassion for us to have 6+ together at any moment and common to find 1-3 of us together at a time.

Oh with that in mind; despite our current recruitment status, we always consider exceptional applicants (shameless plug!)!

I actually like competition and I like the competition to be good as well. We already have great roaming groups, just stacking our kitten even more isn’t going to make my pvp experience more enjoyable.

Caed already knows we’d be happy to work something out and this is something we’ve discussed with him in the past. In-short, he isn’t huge into WvW roaming and is definitely more a structured pvp player (he does it quite well!), but again, doesn’t mean anything is off the table. Like Veretta mentioned, have to consider competition as well, but the issue there too is it’s not like we play the same servers week over week, let alone JQ anymore. Nonetheless we get the opportunity to pvp with Caed (duels mainly in his private server) and we stream this occassionally and I would bet that with the development/implementation of actual deathmatch/arena’s in pvp, you will see a ton more RIOT participating/streaming this content (we quite dislike conquest). I get quite a lot whispers, ingame letters, stream chat requests and private messages about people wanting to join our server and/or guild. If we’d say yes to all of ‘m, we really wouldn’t have anything to fight

But I disagree with something Doc posted. Season is about to end, we’re going back to a period of playing the same servers again I believe so I want the enemy servers in tier 1 to be at their best. I’ve missed playing SoR and JQ at the same time.

I would love to roam with Caed, RIOT tag or not. We just have to convince him to spend more of those tourney gem prizes on transfer fees instead of transforming his toon to look like a distinguished 45 year old gentleman with male pattern baldness.

Hahahahahaha… people were already commenting on his outfit during that last 2v2 tournament :p

Any resistance usually results in them hopping maps and trying elsewhere. Honestly TC gives up a harder fight.

I can see our PPT guilds not showing up for a while after the season. Taking breaks is something a lot of our PPT guilds have taken in the past when there is nothing to play for.

Those were also the weeks where a lot of smaller guilds on BG had to fight large JQ and SoR forces. I’m looking forward to those weeks.

And sure, SoR may be a bit demorilized but I’m also sure that they’ll be back

Next week will be fun for everyone. TC will be stoked, yet exhausted; and both SoS and Mags will love to have TC’s squishies on hand so we can do some great zerg busting.
We’ll just have some thieves stalk CERN’s mega-zerg all week long and just run around it; and make TC pull out their hair in frustration; maybe even get the score pretty close.

FA being in silver is a combination effect. A few weeks right before seasons started when FA were playing JQ it seemed everything went wrong for them. They got ripped apart by JQ and lost 2-3 key guilds in the process (one of them was RISE I believe). There was a server wide decision from the guilds remaining (on their TS) that due to the losses and how badly things were going vs JQ they would tank ranks to be in silver this season. Any of them who say this “server wide decision” didn’t happen is fooling yourselves because one of the main commanders was streaming it after they just did a GvG at the time, and forgot to mute sound on the stream till about half way through so a few people heard it (me included). That being said I don’t really look negatively on them as it was just a bad run of luck that pushed them to making the decision.

There is some truth to what you’ve said, but you have a lot wrong. There was no “server wide decision” for FA to tank. The “meeting” did take place, yes. There were a couple individuals that called people into the teamspeak and wanted to talk about things. FA had just lost RQ, RISE, DPS, and SIC announced they weren’t coming back to FA. We had pretty much no militia and no pugmanders left on the server. We only had a few major guilds left on FA, and aside from those few guilds, almost every other smaller guild was bleeding out members. If you listened to that stream than you would have heard me, too. The individuals that called it, brought it up that it was possible for FA to not make it into Gold League and that Silver League would give us a chance to stop the bleeding on some of the guilds and rebuild what we could to get back to our solid spot in “T2”.

I said kitten that. If FA tanked, HOPE would transfer. While a lot of people considered the idea of trying to go to silver, there was a definitive “server wide decision” that we would NOT do that, because that goes against everything we are as a server. The large majority of us wanted absolutely no part in an FA that would tank. The FA at that time was like a skeleton of what we had been, and for the people that suggested Silver might be better, FA in that current state really wouldn’t have blown out the servers in silver league. There were literally no queues on any map, almost ever, including EB. For my guild, we loved it cause we could go to whatever map we wanted, whenever, and were guaranteed fights. Right before the leagues started, FTF, CORE, and PVP transferred to FA, and all of a sudden because of the leagues there were pvers and pugmanders everywhere.

If FA had purposely tanked, HOPE would have moved because we absolutely did not want to be in Silver. A few weeks ago we even voted to transfer but changed our minds because whichever server we’d go to without queues, we’d lose out on fighting the guilds there. Silver league has sucked, but if FA tanked, we would have moved that first week., so no…we did not tank. Thanks for reading, chapter 2 come out next week.

Want to give a shout out to the magguma thief and ele I kept encountering on 1v2 in bg bl with my asura ele. Ya both had great sync. Great fun challenge I had on our various fights.

All hail the ruling 1v1 class. OP but maybe One day they will nerf conditions duration food to 20%. Right now warriors who are 65% immune to conditions and 98% immune to movement conditions using runes of melandru and food, a traited necro can chain fear for 9 seconds if you CC them and apply signet of spite to last for 15+ seconds. So without negative condition food you can’t fight necro with – condition food they still get 20k more health from death shroud.

you can beat a condi necro with ax/horn hammer with shout heals soldiers runes and warhorn conversion.
