That’s fine, because it doesn’t take away from my point at all, or make any of the IoJ posts I quoted any more meaningful or significant.

Even the bottom feeders of silver being massively > Bronze fourth place in terms of numbers and coverage thereby creating an over-bloated score in respective parings was something HoD proved beyond a reasonable doubt in advance for you, and already boasted about quite enough in advance for you. It’s like you’re harping the same nothings when HoD beat you to the punch weeks ago. Yeah, after the beating we took last week, and now this weeks, we barely have anyone on. Only us diehards. And as usual (at least in the time I play and maps I play on), we’re pretty much always a pug zerg/blob. I’ve rarely seen large guild blobs/zergs when I’m in our BL or EB.

Alright, I understand everyone has their trolls and forum warriors and its not really worth it to reply and I acknowledge that this fellow doesn’t speak for all of IoJ, but regardless:

First of all, Assuming you made your post immediately after your “accomplishments” which would be fitting a boastful individual as yourself, that puts your feat cross-referenced from post time to around 11:40 PM on a Sunday. That’s not “NA primetime”, buddy. People log off at that time to get shut eye for Monday’s work schedule, in case you didn’t know.

Secondly, I don’t know why inhabitants of a previously Silver League server would see there being any merit boasting over besting a 4th in Bronze server, in any timezone. Regardless of what you want to believe, there’s a clearly large numbers disparity between you and us/Darkhaven many levels, especially in timezone coverage. So EVEN IF you did best us in “NA primetime”, that’s what supposed to happen. Servers that made silver league had the capability to queue 4 maps at some points from what I am told. At the height of its greatest numbers, FC was only able to queue two maps. I understand you may have lost some guilds recently and delude yourself that you’re suddenly on our number/coverage level and beating us with something that has a semblance of “skill and tactics”. Yet take a look at your score gains and you’ll see the majority of IoJ’s edge over us comes from when North America is in slumber. Besides this all, you make it sound like you have some cross-server grudge against us, but FC and IoJ have never had any real issues with each other. If there would be any room for a grudge, it would be between FC and Darkhaven, and we’re actually getting along and complimenting each other much of the time.

Thirdly @ the roamer comment from earlier: That’s what happens when you PvDoor us 12:00 AM-4:00 AM, of course you won’t encounter any decent roamers. I was roaming all day in NA time and the only truly exceptional IoJ’s I’ve encountered were elite roamers who transferred from GoM who from what I see haven’t changed much with the passing of time, which is more a testament to just how awesome Gates of Madness was back in the day than to your server’s roaming prowess.

And ironically despite the crap talk, I still respect IoJ as I remember your server’s attitudes towards us when we got mismatched in the past when we were still tier 8/tier 7, which was overall a positive one, even going so far to ignore us to focus on your enemies of old.

DH and FC, fun fights so far this week, thank you. I’ve been following FC for quite some time and it’s been nice to see the success you guys have had recently. At this level in the ladder, growth and improvement can be attributed to hard work and dedication on the part of the server, which is something to respect in this game. FC does have good roamers, that’s always been my understanding as well.

DH, it’s tough losing large guilds like you did but you seem like you weathered the storm well. Much respect to those who stayed and have worked/are working to build new guilds. For the longest time DH was the glass ceiling in the standings we kept hitting our head against.

It’s been nearly 3 months for IoJ with a single 2nd place finish to show for it. Most of us are just happy to be able to get into wvw and practice without looking over our shoulders for 60-person guild zergs. Added to that, we get paired with a couple respectful servers after months of incessant trolling is also a nice change.

DH and FC: There are a few things to remember about IoJ at the moment.
IoJ just lost some major guilds before and after this screwed up silver league – those who left before saw what Anet would put us through during the league (our WvW pretty much died during that time with sometimes only 12 people left in EB AND our bl) , those who left afterwards did never want to have that again (and there are many still considering leaving the game or the server because the new matchup system still wants to put us up against the same silver servers). So~ for IoJ this matchup is basically the only thing that’s currently reviving their WvW. It might be sad for the other 2 servers to be matched up with IoJ at this point (although IoJ might not be as strong as the others think, esp. during the week) – but IoJ simply needs a matchup like this right now to get those who almost gave up on WvW to get back in the game and maybe keep some of those playing with the thought of leaving (whether that works really depends on the coming matchups).
And believe me, for those IoJ-veterans (the “IoJ-Loyalists” not a guild who would never leave) who were battle hardened during the long painfull descent before the silverleague this matchup is quite boring as well as they hate karmatraining and zerging (a challenging loss is better than an easy win). In the end those IoJ’s just hope to keep some more good players who are thinking about leaving to not lose even more manpower, while letting the transfers works as “natural selection to weed out the weaker links” :P Once that is over we can rebuild. So DH and FC, forgive IoJ’s zergs for being stompy and doing exactly what has been done to us, but unfortunately IoJ really needs this right now (even if for some IoJ’s the karmatrain-medicine just tastes bitter).
Just see us IoJ’s as a bunch of kids being able to finally play in the garden again after a long rainy season and smile about “those silly IoJ-brats” unintentionally trampling your flowers while playing. (end of this matchup we probably will be forced to “get off your lawn” again anyway).
From what I heard DH has lost some big guilds and is rebuilding too, so they might know from their own server what I’m talking about.

IoJ: One thing to keep in mind when facing (or talking) to DH. This is not the DH we faced a long time ago. They lost some of the guilds we had our problems with and they are pretty much in a similar position as we are – rebuilding and actually improving because (to cite a DH-player ) “some of those who left weren’t really a loss”. This is a new DH (the true core of DH without those “troublemakers”) and as they are fighting with very similar problems as we are, we should definitely respect that. And from what I have seen so far they deserve that respect (of course you won’t see that while just staying with the IoJ-pugzerg, karmatrains travel too fast to make out much details of what’s happening around them) as they really improved a lot and don’t just zerg anymore but put up a real and coordinated fight.

Part 2:

DH: I’m actually really impressed with the fight you guys put up these days (even when outnumbered). When we last faced you you mostly had either huge zergs that weren’t really coordinated or small ganggroups whose main ability was to spam emotes and jump on people. That completely changed for the better and it’s actually quite fun to really need to have a constant eye on SM-north because you always have to be prepared for another sneaky DH-blitz on a weak wall. My most favourite attack of your server so far was yesterday, 3 golems and a bunch of your guys making a sneaky blitz (without taking many camps or even a tower to warn us) on our IoJ-Bl-Hills. You can’t imagine the panic this caused in our TS when we had to immediately abort a keep-attack in FC-Bl to rush home to stop you in the last possible moment. The lord was already down and we had to rush our frontrunners inside to just suicide-contest the ring at 90% while the rest was still running towards the keep. Ten more seconds or probably just 5 more DH to stop us and you would have taken our fully upgraded keep. I really hope your guys managed to pick up all of the lootbags we brought you as tribute, you certainly earned them. That’s exactly what IoJ needs right now, fights we can win (instead of being overrun by silverleaguezergs) but also fights we could really mess up if we get sloppy. If seraphboi (our commander in FC-bl at that time) hadn’t reacted immediately (and his people hadn’t listened to him and aborted that other keepattack) that would have been a major kick in our sitting muscle. Next time try contesting all of our keeps at once so we have to check all three of them, could give you just the time you need to teach us a valuable lesson about keeping our guard up (and not neglecting our bl) and to not just blob-karma-zerg.
Also a very good job of those guys who defended the DH keep against the coordinating pug-zerg and the Hard-guildgroup (IoJ-Hard – there seems to be another different FC-hard guild), you had much less people but you certainly knew how to efficiently use your sieges and didn’t back off at Veloka) and really made us work hard and long for it.

And whoever said that FC has no decent roamers must have been staying in EB too long :P There were some really nice roaming-group fights going on in the FC-bl’s during oceanic time.
And even if you easily beat another roamer you should still pay respect to him, leaving the comfy zerg to go guerilla takes some balls (of course it’s not everyones taste, I hate roaming AND zerging), he might just be new to it or try a class that’s new to him … but he still tried and he didn’t run away even if he lost.

So overall a good matchup for IoJ because we finally are more than just roadkill for the big ones, but still face of a respectable opponent that will make us pay dearly for any mistakes.

HoD and Mend: Whatever happened between some HoD-members and former HoD-guilds (I don’t even want to know), I just wanted to say that it shouldn’t affect the relations between our servers. The majority of HoD AND IoJ probably has nothing to do with it – so please handle it as adults (or at least smart kids) and keep that bad blood among you guys. There’s already enough people out there who reflect their conflicts with individuals/guilds to whole servers making these matchups less enjoyable than they should be (like “FA and IoJ” were due to personal conflicts and constant provocations on both sides). Please don’t spoil any future matchups of IoJ and HoD because of your personal misunderstandings and keep those things among yourselves. Thanks.

I’m not just “From MEND” I made it.
And I am sure that we will shock you with how many teeth we make you spit, after we smash you down into the ground harder than THE METAL.
It’s cool though, MEND will feast on your tears.

20 v 60 is so satisfying, how did FC fail to cap DH gari for a good 20 mins with 60 people from EDGE, WZ, and Deth… 3 organized guilds vs 20 MEND vs 20 DH pugs?

So it turns out that Mend won’t gvg but talks all sorts of kitten. Scared of an even fight?

Just finished roaming in EB, 6 Yarr decided too own. We one shotted a fortified wall and it came crashing down. As the dust settles we start seeing faces, Deeez notices that they are all fat and greasy. As we moved further into the rubble the faces become clearer. “It’s Mend!” cryed Ynot as we get ready to focus the first necro. We started off with our initial burst and one shot this army of pathetic up-levels, easily, they die before us. I watch as Silent shadow refuges like a scrub and PGD stomps the first downed fat kid he sees. They were not much of a fight. But the loot was good. That is the story of Mend getting wiped easily and how they can’t even kill Golden Moas.

I actually did see a couple unicorns today. I have disliked every single one of my matchups against IOJ thus far, because the quality of the “roamers” I’ve seen has been upscale-level (not saying they all are; just the ones I’ve come across) and their 20-man blobs will gladly chase solos all the way back to spawn.
BUT:
We saw the Buns today! Both of them! Normally we would have just let a 2-man squad go, especially since they ran to their buffed camp, but it was a special occasion, so I felt compelled to call for the bag-and-tag treatment.

Also, and more importantly, we had a quality ~5v~5 against some [Trbo] up between N camp and the centaurs. It was frustrating to see downed players waypointing and rejoining the fight, but it was still a lot of fun. Thank you for the good times, unicorns.

Thanks for the fun as well, but it was 4v6-7?most of that fight when 2 of ours were running from spawn. We had a new Ele recruit, 2 Mesmers and a Thief and from what I recall, you had 3 Guardians, 1 Warrior, 1 Engineer and an Ele. We managed to stomp your Ele and Engi a couple of times but you guys just kept reviving them up from defeated state so fast that it didn’t really matter. xD Kudos to you guys for the fast response time on those revives; I can’t count how many times we missed a stomp by a quarter of a second.

Shout out to the [Main] Guardian and Engineer we 2v2’d in IoJ BL as well, was fun.

Correction, It was 4 of us and 6 of you. You had the numbers but we still manage to down and finish 3 of your guys, but got revived really fast.

Those of you FC guys who just took back their garri who couldn’t resist killing the on IoJ-Guardian inside – you guys realize that it isn’t the smartest move to just kill someone who is waving and keeps dropping superior blueprints in front of you for you to pick up (to reimburse you for the damages of our karmatrain :/ not everyone agrees with those stomping zergs actually quite the opposite after having that done to ourselfes the last months – there’s winning and there is taking the fun out of the game for others by just stomping them over and over).
Guess I’ll have to keep the sup. AC’s, ballis, catas and golems then (because you kill me too fast to drop anything), I barely had time to drop those 3 sup. treb-blueprints while you killed me. I mean is one lootbag really worth more than all those blueprints (you could have at least waited untill I stopped dropping stuff before killing me ).
Sometimes it pays to look before killing blindly Just sad for that one guy who actually understood what I was doing.

Edit: 2nd try (this time bay), same result. 2 get it, the rest ignores the blueprints and just can’t stop killing :P

I completely understand it, but why don’t you just wait till the drops are finished before killing me. It’s hard work to actually survive you guys long enough to bring you presents (hm, that’s how well-fed Santa feels when he delivers his gifts to cannibals I guess).

Edit: Hm, seems FC-Thiefs are smarter than Rangers when it comes to getting stuff. The rangers were so busy trying to get a shot that the first 2 blueprints even despawned (2 Omegas sniff), felt like trying to feed a biting shy puppydog. The thief? The moment loot dropped down any thought of a fight was gone and the harvesting of the blueprints began (probably the easiest and most profitable stickup that thief ever had).
Have fun using that stuff to get some of your Bl back tonight and good luck (having been in that situation the last 2 month some of us feel with you guys; I guess most of those who karmatrain are those who didn’t try to wvw in the silverleague and experience being stomped over and over themselfes (although I do remember some of them being among the loudest when it came to preach against the silverservers doing the same thing to us).
