The other thing is, bay never contested and its 100% impossible for a portal to reach outside of bay from inner. .
This is not true, portals can reach from both the north and south inners, all the way outside the keep. I have done it many times myself. Im not denying any thought of cheating, but a portal is absolutely possible.
On a side note, both BP and AR learnt to thoroughly sweep their keeps back in our 13 weeks of matchups with ebay

The reason that most groups will respond with a no thanks is because most set their group composition is setup for 15-20 people. It gives a perfect balance of front line and backline where there are factors of skill, builds and ability to work together with the group composition. Most don’t want to do a 5 man because their characters aren’t built for 5v5’s, they’re built for 15v40s (or so the good ones are.) I can tell you that in a 5v5 situation, I wouldn’t do well as a backliner. It is very easy for 5 people to have instant stability from one guardian and run right past the front line and aim the poor necro (me) with no stability standing in the back trying to drop his nukes lol..
So yeah, it just isn’t how most skill guilds have their characters build. I can tell you that I wouldn’t want to risk losing a 5v5 under the any tag that I rep because I know that none of the guilds I run with build like that.
If you want to setup a 15v15 or 20v20, I’m sure you could get in contact with BB pretty easily to set it up, they love to do GvG and I’m sure its been pretty dry for them since we all fight all the same guilds every day now with this new way that they’ve got the tiers set up. Better get comfortable with this match up until Dragonbrand moves up a couple ranks from their oceanic presence lol..
To try and say that there are more guilds that want to do 15v15 or 20v20 vs 5v5 is extremely ignorant. There are just as many or more organized small man roaming groups that run groups suited for 5v5 or 10v10, just like the zerg guilds run groups suited for 20v20. Just because you personally do not run smaller than 15, doesn’t mean no one else does. The point is, a huge majority of those small roaming guilds don’t wish to do organized 5v5 fights. All of them have their own excuses, but for the most part they are just afraid to lose what is guaranteed to be an even fight number wise. It hurts a lot more when there is no other excuse to use aside from “they outplayed us” or “we played like crap”.
Just because you have only witnessed one point of view, and you only know one playstyle doesn’t mean it is the only one, or even the one that a majority of players follow, so try not to be so ignorant in the future.

Feh, there are tons of excuses, erm I mean valid reasons for losing an even number fight. You can complain about their classes, their builds, their runes, all kinds of stuff.
My personal favorite reason for losing though is just to let the other side know that we had Dynnen with us. They always seem to be very understanding and even sympathetic to us when we let them know that after a loss.
Here is an actual conversation that took place when trying to set up a 5v5 at the windmill earlier this week.
Enemy: “Wait a second, is that Dynnen with you?”
Me: “Yeah.”
Enemy: “Well, that’s not fair. We can sit out two and 3v5, if you like.”
ZoD is an unscrupulous bunch, last night I saw a reddit thread where a thief revived a mesmer 3 times through a door inside a keep and DB (key word) almost lost the keep all 3 times. Today I had to sweep SMC for 20 minutes to catch a thief so that he couldn’t revive the mesmer inside. The mesmer only respawned after I killed the thief. It’s sad that you guys put winning above having integrity.

Dragonbrand has no honor… We are outnumbered in Ebay BL, and they still feel the need to send someone to start fortify at our keep, and then drain supply by building rams. haha its pretty awful.

If someone is doing that crap every commander and player I know on DB would be happy to see said cheater get the ban stick. So please report that kind of thing when you see it. Some of us are in the process of trying to get an entire BP guild banned for zoom hacking. I wont mention any names, but you are not that hard to find.
Anyone else tired of the frequent PvDoor (that all the servers are doing) and massive zergs (that all the servers are doing)? I guess it is a product of going against an oceanic heavy server but after League play and these last couple weeks I am hoping for a matchup with fairly even coverage fights.

Couldn’t agree more. This is not the best match for gvg’s, and it looks like we’re gonna be locked in for awhile. We’re not getting many gvg’s, mostly due to the holidays I guess, but BB is very interested in gvg’ing any guilds out there. If it’s your guild’s first time, you gotta start somewhere, and we’re good sports. These match up threads are about to go away, making it that much more difficult to set up gvg’s. Interested guilds please send me a PM here with contact information for future reference. You might also consider registering your guild at gw2gvg.com.

This thread seems about as dead as WvW in BP lately. At least it looks like Kalkz will stay one more week. He was feeling the pain when EBay was beating us in the score. Unfortunately (to me) the new variance math means we will probably have this same matchup again.
