Um, yeah. That’s called getting enemies to chase, letting foolish players over extend, and then punishing said players. This whittles down your numbers until we can engage you properly. This is a common tactic to use when outnumbered. Check out my next post!

I like how you never nerved up to actually try SMC. We have actual head counts from a few times throughout the fight. We weren’t running with a pub magnet icon on so we weren’t actively building numbers. We went from between 21 to 30 people according to supply info. When the numbers were at their highest I hopped out of the fight onto a mortar for the open field treb at the keep choke and the field arrow carts you guys attempted. So yeah nice job not even scratching a gate as you got tied up! I’m not saying you didn’t pressure but there was no attrition or initiative.

People like playing on Mag because we don’t tell people where to go and get real rigid about it, and we aren’t going to start now. If people dislike the map, which is a pretty common thing, then they shouldn’t play it.

We aren’t decrying the number deficiency. We went to find that fight because it might be fun. It was fun. If you don’t have the situational awareness to know when you could have pressed the attack that speaks more to your ability to count and read a battles ebb and flow.

See, the problem with EB is that the kids whinge and moan when commanders don’t karma train and constantly berate them because they’re not “enough like Zero.” Zero, for 5 nights in a row, would sacrifice a fully defended, mostly upgraded Stonemist to save a couple of paper towers. Other times, he would port into a borderland, drain a fully upgraded keep with full supply to 100-300, build golems, and fail to take anything. Not to mention the apparent inability to instill any knowledge of tactics or discipline in the pubbies he commanded. Why you would want to command like Main EB Commander is beyond me.

We’ll get competent commanders in EB teaching everyone proper siege placement, tactics, and discipline, and EB will actually become a map that the main WvW guilds are interested in defending.

tl;dr: People avoid EB like the plague because it was usually filled with belligerent ignorance. More could be done by holding keeps in enemy BLs, so we went there.

Enough chest-thumping. I respect DE/RP a lot. They are really well coordinated and will do really well even in T2-T1 servers. Looking forward on facing you guys again tonight and I hope we decide to avoid EB tonight lol.

Eternal has improved tenfold since Zero left. We held a fully upgraded Stonemist for over 32 hours (we may possibly still have it, I haven’t been on today yet), haven’t lost our keep, and when I logged off, all of our quadrant was fortified.

Now, we don’t always have a commander on map, which is great, because we do always have skilled players on who know how to call for help from other maps. It also means the map is rarely queued.

I was able to get a 20 man guild group in last night, and it was great. We took Kaineng’s keep and quadrant three times. Every time we would come back, they would have amassed 40ish people. We would wipe them once, and then they would become outmanned almost instantaneously.

At the same time, Apeqx and Denimdan from [iLL] and [EVOH] respectively, were fighting YB up north, so we would occasionally come to help them. It was honestly the best time I’ve had in eternal since we dropped down to T4 back in… I think it was either February or March.

Also, Zero, you weren’t the “main eternal commander” for 4.5 months. 4.5 months ago, the main eternal commander was still a split between Invalid Password, Sinful Panda, Jerkjerk, and myself. After that, it was myself, Rekka, Duke, Yamma X, and a few others, then it was Sabrina almost exclusively until about a month ago. You were our “main eternal commander” for barely one month.

That went horribly wrong for us because we agreed we would go through harpy’s, but half our group went to ogres instead and we split up because they didn’t know where the south harpy’s entrance is >_>

Just shows how much our guild goes to eternal.

You dont have to come to Eternal, Personally I think the only reason DE/RP’s Commander came was to fight Zero for the first time. Hopefully every one got something off their chest so we can settle this tread down a bit.

Every commander has commanded in EB atleast once, and for those who have know its non stop and a constant fight, unlike to BL’, its more relaxed there. Though I prefer to Command in EB myself due to its high intensity and non stop fun; every EB commander should get some props for going there in the first place.

Partly the reason yes, but we also wanted the fights since we weren’t getting much in the borderlands.

We might focus Eternal a bit more to get more used to it, but we’ll see.

-I relied on scouts, sometimes misinformation occurred and I would educate the pugs when they made mistakes like that. Since I knew well that Maguuma would win each week I focused more on teaching the pugs how to fight in the open field. Regarding the golems, I dont really like to golem rush except on rare occasions, the situation you are referring to was Xushin asking me to do that and build suicidal golems so that I could create a diversion at red keep (it was a push intended to fail so that Xushin could push the northmost double gates).

-I spent more time educating the pugs than anyone else ever did. None of you spend the time with them. The reason Tsarazi had a harder time last night was cause he didnt use an icon, his choice, but dont complain about it.. I educated every Eternal mumble player and i typed in chat until suppressed constantly, I also would have them all organize before we even started playing to show them the importance of coordination/organization.

-Sure you will, I would love to see that, you had kitten in there all yesterday and yeah I really saw improvements… I bet Tsarazi didnt even have the Eternal mumble players go to kitten channel or alternatively I bet kitten didnt go up to Eternal mumble so that he could share his knowledge. Thats the problem with you guilds, you only engage with your players internally, me and Xushin were the only ones who would work with the pugs and get in public mumbles, Xushin more for karma train, me more for tactics and training.

-Actually the most PPT is in Eternal so if youre so pro then youd focus EBG with at least one of the main guilds. Its not filled with ignorance either, it takes more cooperation, flexibility, and communication to work with new pugs who join the mumble and the mixture of guild-based players who go to Eternal mumble.

But we didnt over extend, and Tsarazi blew up the PM’s on me cause we wouldnt engage him at the overly sieged SM. You guys didnt punish us at all. Also in case you thought we were actually trying to capture things, we weren’t we just wanted open field battles with no siege advantages/influence.

Our goal was to farm you, not take points… It worked watch the video. If you arent running with an icon thats your choice but dont complain about low numbers as a result, there usually 30 or more people in Eternal during NA primetime in the public channel (at least when I was there..), take advantage of it.. You guys dont engage the community you rely solely on your guild, thats a flaw

Where do you guys get your information from, everything you say regarding Eternal is so backwards it cracks me up. Eternal is the most qued map of all four every night.. and it stays qued when I was on there for hours so calling it a common thing when you guys called me for backup (not the other way around) cause you needed more man power is a complete fallacy.
