I’m pretty sure that’s the most amount of siege you’re allowed in a particular area too, so the scariest thought is that they’d have probably put down more if they could’ve.

5 siege per 1000 units. Cluster your siege as tight as possible and distance the clusters well. You can fit about 30-40 in the lower level of SM lord’s room if we’re counting the ramps going to the 2nd floor.

Those golems didn’t seem to be willing to brave the arrow cart wall. Can’t say I blame them, but let’s just say that tower isn’t green anymore.

Great fights this weekend SoS & SBI! Though I think some of my guildies backs are sore from all the badges and loot we farmed. :P

Also, SoS great defence on your BL last night. Ghed, you should feel proud my guildies saw your little Asuran Guardian as well last night and knew who needed to die first.

You regularly outnumber us in EB with your zerg, and we don’t run into towers and jump on these broken AC’s. Sorry but we see this almost every night, even when you are running 50-60 deep and you still put down AC’s in the open field, just more lol. If you want respect for your NA, if you want them to improve, fight, learn how to take on greater numbers. You had more then enough on last night to put up good fights. We want good open field battles, engage us and learn and push us as well. Its a hell of a lot more fun then sitting on siege.

Oh as far as the 12 AC’s in SM tower, almost nightly we leave the outer walls down to get you guys to engage in battles, no matter the numbers. You all put down a million AC’s and stay behind SM walls, not wanting to fight. I don’t get it. You know you are going to win the points battle yet sit on your siege, behind tower walls. We put down our AC’s in the lords room to keep SM for battles between the outer and inner walls and generally farm your zerg, with no siege. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if we could hit the outer wall with AC’s placed in the lords room. I think they are still underpowered.

Yeah I hate it when some of our newbies repair SM outer walls. Last night they repaired over a big pile of bags

It’s like they don’t understand that we’re trying to be hospitable. The other night CD had a treb just sitting out in the open near the Anzalia sentry point. So we had to keep our zerg from seeing it until CD had time to knock some wall sections down. SM is nice and shiny and irresistible, please come visit often!

Well hopefully we will get our wish soon about changing matchups more often. Devon just responded in a thead about the EU T1 issue but his post sounded like he was speaking generally for all tiers.

I for one, enjoy fighting SoS and CD in NA Prime Time and Weekend Mornings but other competition would be nice for more variety.

We are trying to do some things to make the matchups move around more and should have more detailed information in the near future. However, one thing to remember is that if there is one server that is defeating everyone so handily, changing the matchup is just going to let that server beat up on different people. Which is probably better, so long as those people don’t get stuck there too. Regardless, we know this is a problem and we are working on it.

SoS tends to have more numbers during CD and SBI “night time” (it’s morning for most SoS players) and get an overwhelming numbers advantage during the night allowing them to pull ahead.

This happens every friday during reset they get a big point advantage.

SBI for some reason seems to be on crack this week.

SBI probably got tired of being man in the middle. Thats the problem with being 2nd place. Oh well, at least I like 2nd place area in EB more then 3rd place area.

Looking at the latest in Glicko Bingo, I think we’re going to be stuck together for a long time.

Short of a major influx of WvW focus transfers, one of the servers completely throwing in the towel, or a 2nd wave of implosion(s) from the servers above us; SoS does not have enough upward momentum to go to T3 for at least another two months.

Blame the Glicko system. It’s designed to make it harder for Green to gain points than red or blue. Last week we lost points simply because we didn’t win by enough.

If they’d just change it so that the rankings were waited by 1-24 insead of 1-3 in each tier, then you’ll see a lot more volatility.

Really? I would much rather be red (or green) than blue. Red is my favorite of the three starting locations.

As much as I plan to fight to take back second over the course of the week, I certainly wouldn’t mind being red. Red is a much stronger position than Blue in my opinion, and it’d be a nice change of scenery.

Nah, don’t get in any hurry to retake second place. Enjoy the benefits of being red for a few weeks. I wonder how long it’s going to take CD to retrain their troops to run south instead of north when they see us in EB?

It’s funny you should say that – I was running havoc on your BL with a small group of my guys yesterday and we were doing okay (I think about 40 badges up v. two close-call wipes) until we ran into you and a few of your guys up at NW camp and just got rolled. Was totally “I know that kitten who just killed me!”.

That said, we apparently suck as a camp-flipping havoc squad – I’d hear the words “there’s a few CD over the-” and instantly cut off with “right, let’s get ’em!”.

Much rather be red. Cause then Green can’t hit you with AC’s from their keep. I am all for rotating colors weekly in WvW and not having it be about how many points you earned in a terribad points system.

The current system works as intended. Everything is balanced, but balance means there’s no appropriate way of climbing up the ladder without a steady influx of new players, so we’re stuck where we are. Which also means that the current score system needs to be revamped.

As it stands the current systems rewards amount of people over skill, there’s nothing wrong with that but that also means that the current top will stay at the top.

I’d take a straight ladder system that at least allows the matchups to change a little more dynamically.

That’s the problem though with the current system. SoS has worked hard for the chance to go to T3 and get kittenslapped right back down LOL.

Likewise, Anvil Rock and Borlis Pass would probably like a change of pace and CD could use a break in T5 for a couple of weeks

T5 would be a nice change and I’m sure SoS would love Ebay. Took a look into their matchup thread and I see one dude claiming Ebay could win T4 easily while another says they have a good chance at it.

Mixed in among the usual fair minded posts, there has been a fair number of whiny posts this week. I would like to thank those posters as I/we have been using copy pastes of these posts in LA and guild chat to draw numbers into WvW borderlands.

We had more than usual numbers in BLs last night and a great deal of fun was had with a spirited attack on a well defended garrison.

Keep up the motivational posts, they are very useful.

Some one really wanted to keep the Ogres.

The only problem I see as far as EBay goes is that, from what I’ve heard, they’re extremely strong in NA primetime (three maps easily covered just with three separate guilds), but are very weak outside of this. It would actually only exacerbate the current problem of us being only average in terms of NA coverage, but strong in terms of Oceanic – I see us getting stomped by them in NA, but still winning the match because of their one-dimensional nature. Heck, in that respect, I wouldn’t be surprised if CD/SBI’s non-NA coverage gave them a run for their money. You can’t bring a one-dimensional world up into T3/T4 and really expect to do well.

Still great back and forth fights. You definitely earned the wxp & loot from our dead bodies.

To be fair I got 50 + badges off your people as well from that siege. You should try that again some time, preferably when sbi isn’t also attacking us so we can be more prompt and not keep you waiting. >_>

I wouldn’t say “break” but they are being very weird this week. Maybe training? I don’t know. They are not completely taking a break, because I have had some great fights with them this week on CDBL. For example last night we had a SBI zerg of about 50 take our hills keep. Then a bit later another commander brought a much smaller zerg and we fought for about 2 hours+ at the se tower. It most likely went longer but I had to log for the night. Sunday they had a zerg at bay for a few hours, that fight was very strange because they so could have had bay like 3 or 4 times but they kept backing off. So, I wouldn’t say break because they are around, just not sure what they are up to.

Not sure whats up but our numbers are down a bit this week. Might just be burn out or the new pve content. See what happens next week when we are Red and CD blue. Welcome the change.

Lol, no seriously. SBI is a PvE server. And anytime new PvE content comes out, WvW participation goes down. New adventures and new dungeon. I expect next week we will be back to normal.

The idea of being red for a week sounds awesome. That said, I know that I personally have a major work project due at the end of this week and something like half of my guild is busy with finals… not that we’re a large guild or any indicator of the server at large, but it is what it is.

SBI’s definitely not asleep/slacking off when I was playing the past few hours…

You guys almost ninja’d lowlands from us, that was a pretty good move we almost lost it there. You guys probably knew but most of us were on your BL taking hills at the time.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun fighting SBI near your keep on EB. Pushed to and fro for 25 minutes+ and you guys finally pushed us out with lots of us dead. We both could’ve chased some easy PPT by hitting CD or something else but chose to stay and fight! Awesome!

Oh that was real fun! I was wondering about some of the things ya’ll were doing there. Like the walking golum I kept thinking what the heck?? But I figured well maybe he’s/she’s doing training. So your comment on getting more involvement in WvW makes sense now! It was very fun I do believe my lovely CD heroes (some call pugs) had a fun time too. They certainly seemed to be having fun in TS.

It was undoubtedly a great deal of fun for us too. Should do it again some time, open field fights are far more fun than static siege fights imo. Feel free to keep coming at us in that same time zone, its usually the same group playing D on CDBL.

Ohh, I loved that golem! I made a few kamikaze runs at it. I was kind of sad when it died.
