Sorry for hijacking this thread but i don’t get all the whining towards Drakkar.
I do believe they are one of the most decent servers we (GH) have played and have the classiest forum posters.
I am actually happy that they are going to win the bronze league and it is well deserved.
Also i don’t understand why people are surprised about DL winning this match.

If you have never fought a german server before, this is how they all play.
They play for PPT, not fun.

They will blob with their entire map zerg run around and cap everything, move to another BL and repeat.
Frankly I knew this would happen in RoS, I dont think many of the players have had to suffer repeated wipes before and have decided to come back next week. Too bad we’re again DL next week as well!

For the leechers, see you in 2 weeks. For everyone else, dont give up. We kept Dawns on our BL for 4 hours last evening. this is because we upgraded it and sieged it up. We had scouts and people refreshing siege; so when the DL map zerg came, they faced a lot of resistance.
And guess what, they moved on.
The germans love arrow carts, but they also hate them when used against them. If you hold them off long enough they will move on, because like I said, they play for PPT, they wont spend an hour attacking a tower, they just come back later hoping people have logged off.

Also dont worry about the weekends, german server are a little quieter during weekdays.

I hope RoS will not win Bronze League, they don’t deserve it. RoF players have a better attitude than Surmians.

Remember when GH fought against Piken or Vizunah? Was it fun?
And when GH fought against Arbor, I quited into PvE as soon as we were leading, since outnumbering everything was way too boring and not challenging.

It’s just that others can’t have good fights. While all the map belongs to DL, you have your 15 people trying to get a single tower and and have to be in constant fear that soon hive of 60 enemy players arrive for this one silly tower.

And I’m open for some sPvP duels if you think I’m terrible anytime.

Means exactly what it means, you are bad at fighting.
In open field combat we’ve destroyed you 9/10 times. Without a tower to fall back on filled with arrow carts, you cant stand against, well not even equal numbers

When 5-10 people are attacking something, you dont send equal, double, not even triple numbers to stop them, your entire 80 man zerg turns up!

But dont worry some of us will still fight you

They blob so what?.. if they have 30 or 70 we dont care and just jump on them… sometime we got wiped sometimes we wipe them.. a lot of fun… a lot of loot, also a good practive for our guild to fight 3 vs 1…

Drakkar is bad at open field fights? Equal fights are almost always won against Drakkar? KISS wipes Drakkar zergs in nine out of ten fights?! Wow, guys, you’re not supposed to take the trash talk while playing against another server THAT seriously. Trash talk is there to keep up the moral, especially when things go south, afterwards you’re allowed to use the slimy thing between your ears. Allowing your ego to get the better of you while posting such nonsense in public doesn’t let you look smart or ‘pro’, that’s the kind of response of defiance you would have to expect from a small child.

Yes, you may be surprised or even shocked to be blown out of the water in this matchup, but so are we. We were fired up for this round, we already have a large raid TS for the community but when we prepared for the reset, it was hardly enough to contain all players looking forward to fight you, and for the first hours you didn’t fail to deliver: The reset fights were awesome. Finally getting some bruises after two weeks against underdog servers (although they were doing their best, something that shouldn’t be overlooked) brought out the best in the public zerg at your borderlands. It reminded me of a lot of great reset fights I had in the past with this server and I really enjoyed it.

Instead of making a fool of yourself by trying to tell the world fairytales about the weakness of the Drakkari, the same Drakkari who showed off their skill and spirit against far higher ranked servers than yours in the past, rally your players and fight for pride’s sake at least for some hours per day. Most of our players know very well how it feels to be the underdog in a matchup and therefore honor a good display of fighting spirit.

Pathetic whining on the other hand is just degrading for RoS.

I congratulate my ex-server to their Bronze League win.
Although that exactly is why I transferred away.

I wrote something before that I shouldn’t had.

Was just growing my bad mood throughout the day in the game and away from the game and ended up whining too much. Finally, evening arrived and playing with my guildies calmed me down. Now, I apologize at drakkars and gonna enjoy my game.

Well I hope next time Drakkars are in silver league and we get UW or GH instead of them . XD

I agree. This has been my point throughout this thread (broken record). Counter the enemy with the same tactics, something obviously people do not want to do. If we ever want a chance at trying to win the league play styles need to adapt.

Odd is it not? Then again all leagues are suffering the same. two or three server dominate everyone else in each league…

Perhaps but the less server in one league the more even the matches.
For me the best matchups i had before the change in wvw. we had often to face the same servers, but these matches were nearly even and made fun every week.

they should have changed the range to an range of the next two servers above and among. than there would be enough variety in the matchups but anet overplayed it with too random matchups.

Going back 3 months ago and beyond a lot of the match ups were good with the occasional mismatch. For whatever reason this changed. Lots of guilds/players decided to change servers or people stop playing (talking in general here). As an example the last time I played in a mismatch like this current round was against Millers Sound; their server ranking was about 10 places higher so it was to be expected.
Leagues, no leagues, four leagues….this does not address the issue of server population disparity which creates the mismatch.

Actually back when the season started it was pretty much a given that DL would win, IMO RoS isnt ready for this fight.

My posts arent directed at DL, but RoS players to let them know this is how all the german servers play, and instead of giving up for 2 weeks, cos we’re against DL next week again; they need to keep fighting.

Give up for two weeks? No one has given up; seen plenty of players on the maps but just not working as a team? to combat the play style. People appear more interested in playing as guilds rather than forming into a couple of giant blobs which means an inability to counter the couple of giant blobs roaming the maps – such is life. lets not forget one German server was beaten, their play style was vastly different.

Goodmorning Drakkar…. Also RoS can tick 510 sometimes…

You won’t see any whining about night capping from Drakkar. We’re used to wake up and see everything taking by an Omega army. Nevertheless no luck taking our garri although you vastly outnumbered us. So much for no skill.

It was our goal to score trough the weekend. Now the real challenge begins cause with the start of the week we lost about 100% manpower.

We could whine about RoS nightcapping, cause after all the trashing you did to us, about blobbing, no skill and camping, it only would be fair.

- nice fights against FRS around their spawntower on our homelands
- RoS has some very bad apples who cheated themselves into both northern Towers on our Homelands, Guildtag [KOBW]

Guys dont post that on the forums you know anet will ban you for it whisper one of the commanders and well gladly sort it out but all posting on the forum does is cause unneeded drama

we play green this week, and i know, that sunnyhill has issues. but at cragtop there isn’t a way top bug inside, afaik.

I think i read somewhere here that RoS is not ready to fight against a server like DL and i totally agree. We dont even defend our stuff when its upgraded, the scouts basically dont scout and most of the time there is no commander over the day. Why should we win with that?

It does not help that our guilds are better, as soon as they dont play there is not really anyone playing.
