It was a fun week overall, not as many solo fights but it wasn’t too bad. Had sam good kills, good deaths, facepalm deaths (forgetting to change utilities after taking a camp), and of course, deaths to zergs.

But I have to say, DB and SoS, you are some classy folk. Not a single /laugh or /dance or anything like that. Even gotten a couple of /salutes. After a week against Ebay and their laugh spam brigade this was quite refreshing.

I wish you all luck in your next matchup but I hope we don’t get to see each other anytime soon.

Here’s a quick video of just two hours this morning that I made of your typical Dragonbrand players. This is what I had to deal with all week long when I struck gold and actually found a Dragonbrand player or two not zerging. Emotes like /laughing when they couldn’t walk the talk or had numbers advantage, running to guards or behind doors, doing anything to avoid any actual conflict instead of karma grinding.

Trust me, this is just par for the course for this server. I, for one, hope we don’t have to face them again anytime soon.

lol thought the same thing…attacking players on the stairs in eb while they are invulnerable is so classy….sos you guys were fun, wish we had more time to fight you guys

Guess I was just lucky then… that’s disappointing. Still better than EBay though.
As for the “Legend” from the video, I’ve noticed that too, the higher the rank the more likely they are to run away.

This is the reason why CD deserve to lose on higher tier match ups.
With this kind of people in WVW, there is no hope of winning.

I see one “Dragonbrand Bronze Recruit [NS]” fending off an obvious double team from multiple groups from both servers. Apparently he was too much for the 12 SoS in the picture, and already had one player downed, so CD had to sneak up behind in an attempt to ambush him.

He probably lived through all of it, hence you came here to discredit us in a thinly veiled attempt to hide your own shame. Not on my watch, buddy. Not on my watch.

Well, I just can’t imagine why your server keeps hearing the same criticisms over and over, as you’ve attempted to sarcastically point out in your post.

Maybe if you’re continuously told the same thing, perhaps there’s some truth to it?

Perhaps there is.

In all seriousness though, I think there’s some psychology going on when it’s said. The comments are almost strictly from T3 and lower servers, which we outmatch from a numbers and coverage perspective. When we fight the T1-T2 servers, the conversations are quite different.

It’s really just a natural inclination when you’ve seen nothing but a sea of red names for the past week, especially compared to what you’re used to seeing. I’m not pretending that anyone really cares about the score, I’m just saying a week of being very out-populated can be draining.

One final note: Most likely, if you were to graph the skill level of individual players on each server, they would all follow a normal distribution and look like a bell curve. If a server has more people relative to another, they have more of all of those types of people: good, mediocre, and bad. It’s statistically improbable (not impossible) for certain servers to have a deeper talent pool than another. Much more likely is a streak where you run across an abnormally large amount of good, mediocre, or bad players compared to the normal distribution.

Of course, I could just be talking out of my kitten here.

What am I seeing here? So solo-specced faceroll thief beats group-specced DB players who likely have relatively little dueling experience. I fail to see the awesomeness. At least Waffler has the decency to prove his awesomeness running a solo-specced condi necro.

Well golly, I guess I knew it since the video was captioned and it says, “here he is laughing at me.”

Your entire point is irrelevant. The video wasn’t posted to showcase some faceroll thief awesome sauce. It was posted to highlight the fact that yes, DB do in fact jump on the emote train. The 1v2 (technically 1v2.5 since after the first guy dies the second one runs to the sentry) was just icing on the cake.

Fortunately I already know how to counter condi necro play on my guardian. The rest of the player base will be at my level in a couple months and then they will calm down.
