Never seen someone take so much pride in being skill-less and spamming siege to defend a single keep. If you wanna get into this kind of argument, the PPT says that Mag is out-peforming EBay. Except PPT is kind of a useless metric for server skill, so whatever.

Meh, I’m playing an uplevel there. So poke all you want, I wasn’t exactly bringing my a-game. Which pretty much negates any bragging rights on the part of the enemy. Always makes me laugh though when I’m playing a character that is horribly under-level and I get ganked by more than one foe, who then proceed to bag and /laugh at me like it’s proving anything.

Secondly, it was merely a statement based on an observation. Now… does that mean I’m not delighting in the thought that you will be up there in gold wrestling with the likes of TC for weeks on end? Certainly not, frankly it tickles me to death. =P

Who are you again? I don’t recognize that guild as one I’ve seen much of during my usual hours of play. Take that as you will, it is what it is. You’re probably sleeping during my hours. It’s difficult to feel threatened by someone who I’ve never had much facetime with because they’re drooling on their pillows when I’m around.

It’s really unfortunate that “soloing” has devolved into sitting around dueling and jerking each other off. I don’t know if the problem is that all these people came from WoW and don’t know anything else or what, but it’s pretty sad that everyone who wants to solo thinks a fight starting with a /bow in completely flat and open terrain is the height of pvp.

Legit solo’ers do exist. Those folks that take camps at random, cap sentries, trim zerg tails, etc. They’re also not just thieves either nowadays.

Dueling is a most valuable tool the solo player has been given.

As for dueling and the /bow’ing, lack of spiking a down opponent, etc. I don’t know about you, but I have a certain amount of respect I share for my fellow solo roamers. This varies from player to player of course.

Dueling is merely a sharpening stone where I’m concerned. Anything that promotes honing my skill to promote efficiency and reliability in taking or holding camps (especially when interrupted by small-scale inc) is a boon to my chosen playstyle. At it’s core, dueling may not be much more than sport as you say, but it still teaches players the core mechanics of a given class, and more importantly, grants insight into how to counter those mechanics effectively.
