Pleas to ‘keep trying and playing’ and ‘come out and fight’ fall on deaf ears when servers that were bandwagoned on to created their own bed. Then they have to lie in it.

I think I’m a little confused about what you mean by “created their own bed.” Even back in T8 days, I don’t remember Kaineng begging for mass transfers, because we knew what would happen. And it’s exactly what did happen; we climbed our way all the way up the rankings only to be abandoned, and left into matchups we can’t possibly compete in.

Our current WvW situation is so bad that even day 1 Kaineng guys are leaving. It’s not even about winning, it’s about being able to play. 90% of the time its either PvDoor or 10v40, and it’s incredibly demoralizing.

One of these weeks, IOJ will roll YB. Gulagman. I will find you, and I will kill you. You doubted our wvw prowess and said we’d break against a real matchup. Look at our score last week against SBI and look at this week. Leagues are revamped so no one is tanking it. We’re coming. That is all T_T.

To be perfectly honest, what I said in LA chat was asserted and agreed upon by your recent transfers from CD…(the ERPn guys) And this was all BEFORE your most recent transfers/bandwagoners who wanted to ride the silver league train, so neither of us took that into calculation. And don’t worry, I’m pretty sure you guys will probably beat us in PPT considering the influx of people you have been getting, but YB will be getting more bags out of the week. Sometimes, it is down to a simple game of numbers and you can’t help the fact that skill lag will kill you. Talking about points is nice. However, PPT means almost nothing now considering most wvw guilds look for fights rather than pay attention to the score, but it’s nice to know that some folks still live in the Dark Ages.

Also, please keep your pugs in LA chat from kitten talking other servers like BP, CD, YB, and Kain. All four servers has lost coverage to either T1/T2 servers or others to a lesser extent. Your recent CD and Kain transfers should know a thing or two about that amirite?

Protip: This week is not over and once the weekend warriors are gone, we shall see how well you guys do against CD and especially BP’s late week pushes.

And finally, I did enjoy the HoD, SF, Mag, IoJ ppl helping the thread get longer than two pages, but can we get back on topic now?

It’s been a while since CORE has played for ppt, so that argument doesn’t hold. Like I said, I’m looking forward to it. We’ve gotten a ton of bags this week so far and we got a ton against SBI. Looking forward to getting bags from you too.

I disagree with you. Players moving from server to server are just people looking to have fun.

Ticking over +500 much of the day, and outnumbering every fight 4 to 1, is not my idea of fun. I’ve been in matches where our server has been that team and its hardly any better than being at +50. Yet it happens for weeks every time when a dog pile of transfers happen.

You’re correct it need not ultimately be about the PPT, but even so the dynamics created in such a lopsided score make finding quality fights that aren’t massively imbalanced, exceedingly difficult, and often not worth looking for for a large portion of each day.

That’s why you try to find dynamics that do feel fun.

If you read that thread – there were 30 vs 30 fights for dolyaks to the garri ! (Bob and Snow, may them rest in piece).

Also – BP had strong and creative pushes that had us fail several times – I’m pretty sure they enjoyed the challenge, even in an unbalanced setting. At some point we were discussing whether we should send BP the 100 gold should they succeed at preventing us from building that darn WP

You can just sit and complain about how “unrewarding” WvW is, regardless if you are stomping or being stomped – or you should try and find ways to make it fun. And fun is subjective – yours is not better than mine.

Trash talk for future matchups? That’s a heck of an indication of just how boring this week is going to be.

AH okay, I do understand that, we have done the same thing. We really were looking forward to a good battle though, and got pretty stoked when we saw red!!! Too bad it wasn’t earlier in the evening. We can count on YB to come in with numbers, but I am beginning to think Kain is an endangered species.

And we had about 30 in there, total. We did get the outmanned buff, that’s how we knew you guys were planning something, but reinforcements were too late to save Hills.
I am not complaining about you guys being there, I just wondered why you all jumped to your deaths, I got my answer from one nice person. We were looking forward to some fights.

ROFL sorry, but SBI talking about outmanned buff in this matchup is a joke. Our best numbers can’t compare to your worst numbers so please never bring up SBI having outmanned buff in this matchup. and just because there is no outmanned buff does not mean the numbers are even.

It’s rather sad that KN is diliberately targeting SBI over YB when we see them in our BL (not that you can call it our BL since it painted green 99% of the time). I know it’s not SBI’s fault for getting this draw of matches but it’s frustrating enough that many KN players have resorted to body stomping on SBI stragglers (no not roamers, stragglers).

I’m sure SBI is having just as much fun running around with nothing to do since you guys own the maps and there is no one to fight. was hoping you guys get a better match-up before league play but it is what it is.

It has been on this side too, man. the move thing bla bla bla. not a part of it… Yadda, yadda, yadda… and my understanding is your DR refugees are happy. I’m sincerely happy for that. ..all that nonsense sense aside.

I can’t be the only person who thinks this weeks match-up is pretty intense. Two rival guilds from DR are now split between two servers playing DR’s Rival sister server, Filthy Kain? I think it’s pretty cool, tbh. I see lexs, ddlg, bæst, dr?, kwbh and I want to AT LEAST get a tag in!

I know it’s mutual lol I’ve been hammered up hills, down hills, and into deer when I get run over by you guys. (solo, single file, and rage mob.) and I’m wearing a smile now typing it out. PPT is a beat down, but man.. there have been some awesome run-ins out there. I wasn’t really sure what kind of madness I was stepping into with the WvW population increase and it’s been kittening awesome. If your peeps are as happy as mine then I don’t see any reason to not simply enjoy that. It is great to see you guys out there for this guy.

Just wanted to chime in since people actually brought up the rather silly outmanned buff.

It is a terrible mechanic and does not quite justify what being ‘outmanned’ implies, especially in various situations. The argument of ‘you did not have the buff therefore you were not outmanned’ is highly irrelevant, considering the extremes which the buff applies itself to.

I have already seen in this match-up many situations where the outmanned buff could have applied (going by many videos already posted, aren’t we all lovely people ) yet it does not.

So please stop using that argument, ‘Outmanned’ is broken. That is all.

(mostly) roaming… very hard to find fair fights or duels. Most fights we ran into were 8v3, 6v2, 4v1, etc. But much more fun than last weeks karma trains :S

Uh, maybe we could try not to throw anecdotal statements around? Your generalisation has been disproved in the Vids above you, anyway.

I personally haven’t seen any small group SBI around, but guess what, that means nothing, since it’s anecdotal evidence.

You will continue to encounter people complaining about population differences when fighting servers with substantially lower populations. If you are unable to cope with that, your best bet might be not reading match up threads.

There is something wrong about having a queue so long that you won’t dare to switch characters and then complaining about being outnumbered 4 to 1 in fights… I mean, you are supposed to have the same number of people on, right ?

However – I’ve seen it before – times when we would have a huge queue on our BL but barely hold our garrison. Which goes to say that it not “only” about numbers at times.

Anyway – good fights so far. I get a feeling the matchup looks better on the field than in does on millennium. Keep it up.

Seen a few SBI small groups sneaking around outside their blob. SC, WAR, I think. Need more people like this.

I don’t know why people describe SBI as a zerg server, a hive mind blob. It certainly does not look that way from the inside and it has not even back in the days we were T1 and facing juggernauts like HoD.

There were always constant complaints about guilds doing “their” thing and not coordinating enough of wiping to enemies because we’re woo spread, especially on the BLs. We always have several tags and groups going in different directions and (hopefully) coordinating on TS to save a keep here and there.

EB is a different beast – Bannok and the rest of the commanding crew there were always open to leading groups of independent (but so unreliable) PuGs. I cannot admire him enough for his patience.

Still – ask anyone on SBI if they really see a huge zerg/blob on the map – it’s usually several guild based groups, with randoms tagging along commanders they know, and every group is going his way doing his thing.

I’m not expecting you to believe me – but that’s how I saw it – and it’s a tradition. Ask the SBI alumni now on JQ or SoR. Whenever someone calls for “Bl efforts should group together !” the answer is …“relax, you’ll get used to it”.

We see a decently sized SBI group and decide to defend/siege a tower/keep, if we managed to defend, 2 mins later a group twice the size will come back and wipe us. Same as attacking any structures, beat you guys back once, more seems to just spawn out of no where.

I’m sure SBI is bored with this matchup and any opportunity that they can get to fight, get karma, bags, etc. they will take it. That’s why you are seeing large incoming SBI after the initial engagement.

Dear Oceanic players of YB/Kaineng, please don’t hide, come out to play. Take camps, take towers, take anything, roam around, anything at all.

Thx for the supporting post. And you would be surprised how many SBIers would love to draw SoR (heh, one of our best WvW leaders has an alt account playing there) or even better, JQ (that would be insanely fun since there are a lot of SBI alumni there). Why ask Kaineng ? We lived it too in February. In fact much of Kaineng’s rise was due to SBI people moving there.

We’ll not fall that much. People who did not leave then will not leave now. We’ll see how high we can get this time.

I see 2-3 SG people and you being alone. That’s hardly spawn camping. In fact I know they are looking for fights and they came to a place that’s easier to you to come to.

Besides – you can’t spawn camp a citadel – that’s a nonsense. Spawn camping refers to large groups camping in front of a spawn point, aiming to get fast easy kills. In places where there is no real map objective – there is a capped supply camp there that they are defending.

Besides – you can’t spawn camp a citadel – that’s a nonsense. Spawn camping refers to large groups camping in front of a spawn point, aiming to get fast easy kills. In places where there is no real map objective – there is a capped supply camp there that they are defending.

This may not be particular to that picture, but I recall at least 8 SBI at KN north camp while myself and 1 other tried to foolishly fight them. Either way, they simply ran to guards as we (two of us) pushed. Ultimately I ended up standing in the invulnerable location and shot them them from that location as there was nothing else I could really do. Not sure why it took them about 30 minutes to leave when clearly nothing was going on there but you get the picture.

Someone from Yak’s Bend mentioned wanting to see you guys draw SoR next week, unfortunately, I’m inclined to agree on that. It’s not enough that you guys outnumber us 20-1 on every frickin map, but your “roaming” groups need to gank everyone they see even if it’s an up level trying to get vista points.

In this match-up thread I see all this come out and play stuff. lol When we do come out and play SBI zerg balls need to number in the 80-100 range. We have wiped your big guilds up and down the maps constantly. Your answer? The funny part about it is your server wouldn’t hold a candle to servers with equal numbers. Even completely outnumbering an opposing server you get wiped. How can you brag about that? Sorry but it seems to me SBI will fall once again when you realize your numbers don’t mean anything when you are teamed against skilled servers with equal numbers. I haven’t seen a queue save friday nights for the past 3 months.

But I still love Kaineng, it’s pretty cool to recognize names every time I log on, and the sense of “us vs. an overwhelming them” is pretty strong community feel.

The SBI on our spawn zone is a little tacky, but what else should I expect, it’s the only place they know they’ll find a fight.

What I’ve seen the organization is just not there. Now granted, they haven’t needed it the last few weeks just zerging up the chain, but right now their style reminds me a lot of the Kaineng rise, which kind of fell apart when they met stiff upper resistance.

Other servers we fought on the rise, very early Blackgate, even SoR, had a solid organized base even before they were dog-piled on.

I could be wrong and they may power up on sheer numbers, we’ll see. I think this matchup looks a bit more lopsided than it should be because Kaineng is either dead or pulling one of their pouty not playing weeks. When they do show up, its to hit our BL on the other side when SBI is zerging the other end.

I don’t think SBI is ready for the SoS / Mag / DB tier to be honest.

Ready in what sense? Seems they have the numbers. I don’t think we have the coverage to do to you what they are doing to you, but I guess it’s been awhile since I’ve seen YB.

What I’ve seen the organization is just not there. Now granted, they haven’t needed it the last few weeks just zerging up the chain, but right now their style reminds me a lot of the Kaineng rise, which kind of fell apart when they met stiff upper resistance.

Other servers we fought on the rise, very early Blackgate, even SoR, had a solid organized base even before they were dog-piled on.

I could be wrong and they may power up on sheer numbers, we’ll see. I think this matchup looks a bit more lopsided than it should be because Kaineng is either dead or pulling one of their pouty not playing weeks. When they do show up, its to hit our BL on the other side when SBI is zerging the other end.

If it’s like the Kaineng rise, they’ll beat us like 400k to 100k and we’ll have a very lively forum thread, especially since they already hate us

I watched the tower invasion.. outnumbered. No don’t think so.. you inadvertently pulled your map up and we (the viewer) can clearly see that you had equal numbers.

That said.. that was a very nice defense of the tower.

add: when trying to say that ‘we’ want to fight SoR, please make sure that you are not speaking for our entire server. Not many of us want to go up against SoR, I know that we aren’t ready. I went up against them a few times when I was on TC and the skill lag with the mega zerg battles are just about enough to make the baby jesus cry (the primary reason that I left TC.. loved the people but couldn’t hang with the skill lag).

But you know what? If we did draw them, I would actually enter WvW again. I HATE these match ups and really wish that Anet would/could pay attention to what they are doing to the lower tiers’ morale. Many of us on SBI know full well that we haven’t really been tested yet since all of the migrations. Further, we know that we need to be tested to find out exactly where we stand and what needs improvement until that happens, no one can know. I can look at our maps and see what needs an immediate fix but not what we need to correct to work within the meta.

re: spawn camping.. it’s filthy pool and NO one should be doing it. I don’t care what server you are on or if you have 1 or 50 people doing it. Don’t. It’s nasty gaming. Let opponent come out to ‘play’ as it’s been said or they won’t bother logging into WvW. Then what? More standing around waiting for Tequatl? No thanks.
