Oh EBay I am so disappointed with you. You had our NE tower with 2 people guarding it and one little mesmer outside the walls taunting you. You would not come down to fight, even after I went to the wall and moa’d one of you. Then there were 3! Still you would not come down to fight one mesmer. Four? Nothing doing. It was not until you had 5 people in that tower that you ventured out to face me. By then I was laughing so hard I died rather quickly but that laugh was well worth the death. What in the world were you afraid of? Or is it because you are so inured to 5:1 odds that you had to wait for the 5th person?

I actually really enjoy that VLK went for the rifle warrior group. We’ve tried running a bunch of trollish groups like that, too (like when we all used our summons, like minions, spirit weapons, etc), but it takes a certain mindset. If I were in your position, and I have been, I would probably do the same. Especially if you’re not wanting to gain points this week.

This is probably the highest kill potential I’ve ever seen from VLK. Though I have to ask, did you actually kill any groups you didn’t outnumber 3:1? Or was the entire night spent portal bombing 1-2 people at a time and running from everything else.

Does it matter? They are just having fun in a terrible situation.

If things keep up the way they are now, it’s lookin like Kain might definitely stay at the bottom of the silver pot… This whole week of who can tank worst is making this week EXTREMELY boring… Best of luck to whoever eeks out a loss to Bronze League. -.-

Funniest part is, that actually means the match is highly competitive, just merely in the completely opposite fashion than usual. This came to mind from one of ours. With us as the unknowing Lieutenant.

I would watch out HoD. There is a lot of talk about Kaineng sandbagging but the truth is that just about everyone transferred. I would hate for some dev. to actually look at the number of transfer, current populations and think Kaineng doesn’t belong in Silver League; let’s bump them down and move the next one up. No facts/all conspiracy theory but….

Kaineng tried a big effort on Monday Oceanic / SEA to take back our keep in Eternal Battlegrounds but were stopped by Ebay zerg defending /repairing / sieging the inner walls / doors fiercely. It didn’t help that HoD decide to come sabotage our efforts by capping all our camps. We failed to get back the keep but got Garrison in borderlands back. Garrison ownership lasted 6 hours and upgraded to Tier 2 amidst the repeated assault attempts by Ebay – golems / trebs / superior ram zergs ; then we all had to go sleep. But it was good fun.

Today I saw a NSP player in KNBL that was mad at his server for “chicken-tanking-shenanigans” and decided to transfer to Kaineng. It was refreshing to see someone coming in than going out and he had a lot of praise for us.

I doubt there is a concerted effort on HoD or Kain to purposely drop rating as the PPT goes up and down through the day / time . I have not heard on forum or ingame chat on anyone ordering other players not to play / cap stuff. Everybody is still doing as they please.

We welcome proud NSP players that wanna play WvW to come to Kaineng. I’m sure HoD will too. Transfers are cheap, come now and boost our PPT and have fun ! The matchup thread for NSP is positively toxic .

Let me stop you right there.

Everyone in this thread knows what’s going on with both of these servers. Kain has lost a lot of players/guilds because of their potential position at the bottom of the Your-Day-In-The-Barrel league, and the remaining players are split between doing their best and farming.

Both NSP and HoD do not want to take that spot in silver, and each has a segment of the population on some type of vacation. NSP is in a much better place to do that thanks to “random” match-ups, but one look at the score and it’s obviously not reflective of the rank disparity between the servers.

Just to cap things off, a group of (ostensibly) HoD players have made a guild solely for the purpose of gaining enough ppt to get to Silver league. Most of these players I have never seen before, and talked about HoD as if they were from someplace else.

I won’t go so far as to say they were guest/temp transfer “plants” to push us past both Kain and NSP, but it was hilariously suspicious.

So the question isn’t if anyone is, on some level, manipulating the matches, but how far would some players go to help their server’s placement when the 18th rolls around?

I am not aware of anyone on kain that transferred to HoD

Plus it would be silly to transfer this week to boost HoD’s rating so your original server can get in bronze.

Because you cant transfer back for a week, which means your current account would be stuck with HoD’s reward, which would defeat the purpose of boosting HoD…

A few optimistic HoD heroes believe they want silver league, but these are the same guys who only show up once in a blue moon. And being spawn camped for 7 weeks straight doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun.

No one wants that bottom spot in Silver league, not anyone who only plays this game for WvW anyways. People think they do, but they really don’t.

My forecast: Bottom Gold, Silver and bronze league servers will have a massive exodus of most of their WvW population. By wvw population I mean the guilds that dedicate themselves to WvW, not the karka farmers who come in when fighting is easy and karma trains are abundant. (Everyone can relate to that).

Chances are top of league servers will experience an influx of people, and in the end it may actually end up balancing itself out because of this, or people constantly transfer.

But Bllades! If they do that, they won’t reap the rewards!

Lol, because a Dolyak finisher and some extra chests are going to be enough incentive to stay put.

Hopefully ArenaNet will physically take a look at each server after this first season and literally hand pick certain servers to participate in certain brackets. Much more competitive and fair brackets.

We’ll see.

[KM] had fun last night. We roamed all 3 BL and got wiped and wiped plenty of times. Overall, it was just plain fun. Sorry if we didn’t put up much of a fight against larger groups. I think at most, we had 5 people in our group lol. See you guys tonight!

I agree except for one point – bottom of bronze won’t be super awesome, but it won’t be that much different from how things have been going. We’re already at the bottom of the heap – difference now will be that there’s an upper limit on who we can get matched with, which might actually improve our quality of match-ups.
