To [UNIT] Desolation, seriously? Why couldn’t you just let me 1v1 your group member did it really need 5 of you to gank me then jump on my corpse. The kittenty sportsmanship on your server is what makes people think you are all just a blobby bunch of kittens.

I’m just one SOLO player trying to get some good fights out of this horrible blobfest matchup.

A couple of highlights from yesterday, following GH (Deso border).
I really need to brush up on my large group skills, been running so much small groups lately, ugh… I cant even pop AoE correctly, it goes all over the place lol.

ohh this piken… they are so pro they dont even need to fight blobs they just wipe everything … since they are bored now of noob blobs they gonna take a break ingame and trash talk in forums so we all see how pro they are ……. I really miss vizunah……. deso fights way better under pressure, also for the record in the past few days we also got lots of new ppl in wvwvw and they just run around like flys without heads……and please stop QQ about blobs blame it on ArenaNet they made game in this way…. if you wanna fight then get on and lets fight, otherwise go cry somewhere else…….

Piken are such hypocrites “we don’t blob”, “deso are lootbags”.
Did vizunah send some of it’s trolls over to you? You sure got the running away part down.

It not even 24 h into the match and there is so much hate already in this thread.

Let the fights in the forum be as heated as those on the fields.

Edit: If i got one dollar for every time the word “blob” is mentioned in this thread, I guess i would be able to buy google at the end of the week.

It’s kinda funny to read post from random pugzords. Deso showed how they are good “under preassure”. When your mighty blobb is owned by one PS guild, in magic way you are going to change border. On last week, on every border your blob was runing away from PS organized groups, so please dont tell me that Deso is doing good under preassure. Most of morning/prime time you are being pushed to your borders, and just simply changing borders if its to hard for your 70+ blobbs. Sorry to say, but you are great forum warriors, nothing more. Keep dreaming that you deserve wining or so. Im pretty sure, if PS would find any night shift your mighty server prolly would be crushed.

hahah, and who are you? Calling ppl random when yourself is just as random to many ppl on other servers. We do fight, we do the best we can. We have wiped Pickles zerg and pickles zerg has wiped us. Nothing wrong with it, stop blaming a whole server for the misstakes of few.

If Deso had as many organised guilds as you then sure, we’d be out in the open more often, if you constantly attack our keeps and towers do you expect us to roll over and let you take them without defending? lol

As for pushing us back to borders during prime, er no? Last week we managed to hold Garrison and Bay WP for a grand total of 3 days 12 hours, pretty good if you ask me.

These threads are hilarious! One or two guys make a statement with a server name in his sig and it’s automatically the entire servers opinion.

Anyways, Looking for competitive GvG vs Deso or AM guilds, 20 vs 20/Best of 9 format.

From GoD, reset night was awesome. Great thanks to DVG and Coin especially, with our suicidal charges into the circle to stop the caps till the cavalry arrives.

Also special mention to all the pugs who got in with the program. I understand it’s not easy trying to read the minds of the guild commanders, but yesterday you just seemed to be totally in sync with what Desolation needed out of you.

And we must also thank Abaddon’s Mouth for never stopping their assault on the garrison. You gave us a good game and I appreciate your hard honest attempts at taking garrison back. May we have more epic sieges like that!

i just cant help it:P “PS organized groups”… was that 10-20 man groups as usual? they are so common for PS. any guardians in those groups?

Remind me to hijack an M1 Abrams sometime. You make it sound so easy. Like, punching the driver in the in face while yelling “Dont delude yourself that you’re skilled!” and then start doing powerslides with the tank just to show how easy it is.

This matchup is so boring… blobs everywhere. Even in JP, you fight 2v2 and 5 secs later they already called their friends to port back to spawn, because… well. Maybe you’re not used to fight without skill lags?

Complaining that PS got Guardians is just stupid. What’s next, you’re gonna complain that our Theives can stealth (zomg!), the Elementalists and Warriors can stun (how?!?!), our Necros can AoE (super OP!!!), the Mesmers can portal (who knew!?) and lets not forget that Rangers can… eh… well I dont know, they can make a bear dance and be good at parties I guess.

I aint scared or ego enough to say well kittening played GH kudos for engaging and wiping us kudos!

Now i have defended Piken many times due to being a former member and respecting it’s organised guilds but apparently with all this QQ being thrown about Desolation being boring lacks skill etc i feel i have to shed some light on some things many Piken have either forgot or prefer to brush under the carpet.

Piken has always despised being outside of it’s comfort zone and in the old tier system either tank matches or certainly prepared to do so at the drop of a hat despite it’s strength to stay between tier 4-3. It is a shame to see piken players behaving in an ill manner on this forum towards Desolation when you have purposely bubble wrapped your community from facing off against stronger servers, coverage does not come into it i remember Piken reaching all the way to tier 2 and the drama that resulted from it. Many of your community apparently still hold the spoilt school kid mentality of " If we don’t like the way you play we don’t want to share the playground with you"

You have got to learn to take the rough with the smooth there is no more tiers and no longer a guaranteed silver lining to matchups it is now a test of a server communities resolve in taking whatever kitten is thrown at them and holding their chin high regardless.

To be quite frank despite not belonging at the top any longer to face Vizunah again would not be the end of the world our community has become hardened in so much defeat with the points game advantage they have and are fully stocked with magic find gear for the loot that will flow in such a situation and furthermore they mostly reserve the majority of their QQ to the French forum away from the general public.

Maybe Piken should have a pop at Vizunah ofc you won’t win but you will def afford to twink all your characters by the end of the week if you can coax them out of their fortified keeps.

As a Piken player, I have to say, playing against Deso has been and is, great fun.

I think both servers have a lot to learn from each other. Our defensive and overall strategy is sadly lacking by comparison but our open field fighting tears deso to pieces when we meet on anywhere near equal terms.

I have more respect for Desolation than any of the servers we’ve met so far in my short career.

You got good co-ordination and blah to you for turning me into a Moa so many flicking times lmao was great fun, think most of Deso left after I started singing lmao was leading an army of pugs or friendlies whatever you wanna call people to be politically accurate haha

was a fairly low numbers game o deso orderlands tonight but till even with a wee 10 man group the AFTL peeps still managed to nick bay back on our own tonight

good times… sometimes it pays to be sneaky

and frankly overall I think Desos had noting but good things from these matchups with piken its really forced the community into activity and different strategy outside of take and hole up

To all the DESO guys who are talking bad about our own server,
I honestly think you should move, WarriorJrd, yes i am talking to you.
All you seem to be able to do is complain and be a pain in the butt over every wvw map.
We know what you think already, don’t harass people with it every time you log into the game and try to provoke people who ARE going for points AND fights.

I had fun yesterday on Abaddon’s BL, After the first hour our main DVG commander had to leave and I ended up tagging for the guild and the ‘militia’ as we call them on the map.
We ended up having some nice coordination for keeping Abaddon’s garrison.
And I can proudly say nobody in my group that represented DVG stept away from a single fight!
And in all honesty, we won equal fights, we lost equal fights, we even won some uneven fights in our disadvantage, but the times we wiped we did not give up and kept going!

To piken, You ran a lot of numbers as well, its seems that we just have better coverage,
Saying we are vizu is very dishonest of you guys in my opinion,
I know what i ask of my groups on TS and skill is required to pull it off,
One thing is for sure, we do not mindlessly spam 1 and hope numbers will make the difference.
Guilds like EXG, GoD, Unit, TLA.. they know what they are doing, and you must have seen them around kicking kitten or atleast trying very hard to do so.

This all being said, I am very much looking forward to this matchup the skill of the piken groups and the sheer numbers Abaddon’s seems to bring are totally different yet both are effictive.

Ive been in Deso since Beta, if you want to turn this server into a less organized version of vizunah then by all means, transfer to vizunah, I’m sure they can give you a few pointers. As for people complaining about people running heavy gaurdians, that really makes me laugh, every good wvw guild runs them and you think that it takes no skill? Why because the auto attack on staff is an aoe? Melee is what does the most damage and thats how you win fights, its plain and simple.

Nice to see some resistance tonight but I don’t know how you lost your Garri while you have that zerg running around Piken, today was another interesting day not the best day in terms of cooperation but despite the QQ please less of that and more good fights.
As for the Guardian Melee train meta just like blobbing I’m not that much of a fan it yet there is a way to counter it so we can’t complain too much.

Literally being the only PS player in Abaddon’s borders, fighting 2 deso players at Victors, downing one of them, then starting on the other just for 25+ Abadd’s to turn up, zerg me then corpse jump / laugh. About sums up this week I think ^^

Our own borderhopping group was in the middle of a golem rush on Piken’s garrison too; we did have someone scouting who warned us when they started hitting our Garri, and decided to abandon our golems at the bottom of the stairs near the water gate and go back, but by the time we got on to dry land we heard they were already in the lord’s room. Whatever they did, it was extremely quick.

Last nigh GH was running ~25-30 with like 5 guardians but 7-8 necros. If you complain about guardian meta, you are pretty far behind the actual meta.
I’d argue guardian-heavy meta would be easily countered, all it would take is to use landscape/structures smartly. Or more necros ftw

yesterday was fun there! no siege engines, just bare hands as in the first days! im sorry, we not used siege stuffs just the trebus after 2 hours of kitten :P

We had scouts, by the time we could WP after about 30 seconds getting the golems to land (we had to leave them at the bottom of Piken garrison watergate) the garrison had flipped. I had hoped the EB team would have gone back to desolation rather than spend a significant proportion of time on one target in EB (probably the hardest tower to take on the game) considering we had already lost hills and bay. In fairness to the EB team, they were about to go to Desolation as well, but by he time either of us could WP it had flipped. Borderhopping team managed to take all of Piken bl but we lacked a lot of numbers tonight and we heavily outnumbered by both the opponents forces. Was a difficult night, I was surprised when I saw the size of Piken and Abbadon’s zergs, could have been prime time!
