Willing to create organized and arranged GvG within WvW is like willing to go skiing with golf shoes, it’ll be painful, you’ll look silly and you’ll get thrown out.

How about u make a poster about leaving ur T3 keeps and acutally fight us instead of running around like Frzombies or make a poster about it beeing oke not running in 100man groups. That would be huge improvement!

as im fed up of the endless zerging and failed attempts to solo roam, can we set up like a dueling evening? would be alot more fun than just running around in a ball. or getting steam rolled by said ball.

How about stopping whine, reject fault on others, not facing problems and repeating same things and not seeing every serv do the same for months instead of creating and trying to make things moves? . That would be huge improvement !

We are working on something to highlight the Guild vs Guild. I have this idea since a moment already, and Sohz, member of Last Pride, thought about the same. He will carry out some designs and we’ll get 2 developpers + one in back up. The page will be used to display the participants, the next matches, the lastest matches, the whole thing in a bioshock infinite/1900’s graphic style. It will be named “GvG Showdown”.

As A.net takes too much time to improve the WvW and implement GvG, and the Guild vs Guild is interesting a lot of people, as much guilds as spectators, I think the 2 will co-exist soon.

Troma are you serious?

Don’t you see the current state of the professions? They are completely unbalanced. Please go to GW1 and see the meta teams, every profession can enter the meta, you don’t have GvG in GW2 because of the current state of professions.
GvG is different from WWW, and the day Arena develops it, new guild will arise interested in this, some strong WWW guilds, will split is members between this to types of game.

People in WWW, are worried with skill lag, and WXP, because now it’s hard to find anyone to scout, escort, repair, buy upgrades, people just want to go with the zerg and make some easy WXP.

Keep pressing Anet for GvG, that will be good for the game.

Yep i’m serious. It’s just because i see a lot of people in GC/VS and other servs asking for something like this, and guilds do it themselves – why we shoudn’t try to organize a little more, without forgeting WvW of course? =)

i’m doing a survey since this morning, it’s 80% interested at the moment. If too much people say “it’s impossible” or “we dont give a kitten” it’s ok, not a good idea. We will see !

1) yup i agree, it’s a people magnet, we should never use it when GvG.
2) hmm i think we can announce it, but not the map, and communicate a LOT on the streams (like we did for the supplys and other WvW rules). Streams is winner-winner for everyone: more viewer for the streamer, no lag for the players, funnier conditions to the spectator (we can add an irc to comment it on the page !)
3) yep, the rules must be straight. We can even imagine a judge, like football ?

Troma ask from people from your server to take 5 or 6 screenshots, at different hour of day in different maps. Now analyze the pictures. Can you see any pattern? No? Look closely to guild tags…

graverr, you do not get it my friend. It’s just a tool to simplify orga like Kingface say, nothing more and 2 months before it was impossible, all servers was greatly focused on WvW. Do you imagine everybody stopping this to let guilds fights? with thoses scores? no man.

the second reason, i heard about guilds, even Vs guilds, want to migrate sometimes on other servs to fight. I just want to put a nice mini-orga with this. My goal, like on the WvW, is just to make things better. Nothing more.

Finally I know who the commander from Deso in EB is. Are proud and happy you say? Are you proud of double team with VZ? For hours you don’t even flip a VZ camp? Is this my imagination? No, VZ players know watt I’m talking about. It was epic for us yes, we never lost our keep, even when we get attacked from both sides, trebed from Bravos by Deso, and from Langour by VZ, we resisted at to consecutive attacks from VZ with golems, you are proud, you say, a big lol to you.

Yes I’m very, very proud to have played to all the guys from SFR during the weekend (guys sometimes I have to be hard with you because, we can’t do mistakes against VZ). Keep going “big” Deso commander, you only make us stronger.
I have nothing to say to the way VZ are playing, we have played like them when we are strong, for me the way they playing only show respect for us, they try to score points, that’s the name of the game, for us is a chance to all new commanders and players learn how to play, because he have a strong opponent we have to react according to that.

Please don’t hide behind problems, the only problem we are facing atm (butt all servers have it) is the skill delay, Anet must work in a solution to this.

We are not going to win this week again, but for me maybe I can have another “victory”, we need to stay one more week in T1, and after this another one, and so on. One day our guilds will come back, and we will be strong again.

I think you should get a reward for story-telling. There is no such thing as a 1v2 or 2v1, just opportunity of attack.

I get the idea that you seem to be pretty good at stimulating/manipulating people. Can you pls use those skills to change the playstyle of your server? Even now with a huge gap of points all that happens in EB is trebuchets shooting, waiting till the wall is down (or several) and rush in with the whole server. To me that is boring and I wonder if there is anyone on your server who thinks it is exciting to run all together towards a opened tower and see if there are none or 5 opponents or maybe even 15 who may be able to prevent you from taking it.

First of I must say that I am a big fan of organising GvG and it is awesome that you would like to make that happen. Making it public might not be the greatest idea however.

The thing I really wanted to talk about is when you said that 2 months ago it would have been impossible because servers were too focused on WvW. That is just wrong.
To me it seems that the only server where a majority of people would have a problem with that would be Vizunah. I don’t think most people on SFR or Deso would ever think that they should not have an awesome fight because they might lose points.

@Sjaakie: i do not manipulate people. I have no money objective (0 ads on gc website), no dark god behind me, no kitten like this. But i like to teach, help, motivate, and create community yes. The situation you describe is sad for you, let be honest i understand it. But i cannot control whats happening on every map, it’s just too big.

Nope, he ran all the way from LV to Bay north gate to the guards and then just stood there waiting.

But yeah, maybe he was a beginner because that Guardian did not seem to put up much of a fight once he did start fighting me (see below) and was defeated pretty easily (he was full 80 though, not uplevelled).

But isn’t that a good thing? Now he can look at his build and maybe improve himself, so next time he has a better chance at winning. Learning how to fight more effectively benefits everyone much more than just running away, right?

I got killed in EB recently when me and an enemy Ele passed each other np, i ran a bit further and suddenly i get bowled over by him.
Didn’t stand a chance with my build tbh, was a bit annoying, stupid guild was at the other side of the map. :p

Maybe. It’s possible that they were not interested and ran away because I actually wanted to fight them. But if that’s the case, why are they in WvW if they don’t want to fight? That’s just silly right?

For instance: I found this Guardian with a friend contesting Longview but he ran off and jumped down when me and a guildmate came over to check; but he left his friend to die.

Then he stood there at the bottom (waiting for me to jump?). So I thought I would have a nice fight, told my guildmate not to follow and jumped down.

But then he started running away again, so I just ran with him all the way to Bay north gate. There he simply stood waiting in the middle of the guards.

A few times he ran at me, but backed off again (maybe because I still did not run away?). Eventually 2 of his friends came running in from the north and I was like “yeah, 3v1; no deal” and I just turned around and went away.

Sure enough, all of a sudden the Guardian started running at me and chased after me. Unfortunately for him, I noticed that his friends did not come with him so once I went around the corner, I turned around and finally got my 1v1 duel (finally initiated by the Guardian player) and defeated him. So I did a /salute after the fight and went in search of another opponent.

So I learned a bit more about fighting a Guardian, and he (hopefully) learned a bit more on how to fight a Ranger. So we both learn and improve.

And so what? If only a few VS guilds want to GvG, where is the problem?

Like said, it’s a tool for every guilds who want to use it, not only for guilds from VS.

Well, and if you don’t want to because the idea comes from a VS guy, no matter how great is the idea, it’s your pick as stupid as it is, it’s yours.

You have to give him the benefit of doubt.
It all of a sudden pops up now that the organised Viz guilds are bored. They could as well have done it 1-2 months ago when they got assraped by SFR. Viz could have played out of their skins, they’d still have lost every single of those 5 matches. It doesn’t matter how much they play or how well they organise their pugs if the other server has better coverage. Those 5 weeks could have easily been used to GvG.

But it seems a general trend atm that guilds try to get their identities back after spitting on them since release. Good direction it’s going.

The coincidence. A certain coming together of events and all of a sudden the leader from the server that was against and even tried to sabotage (the server tried, before ppl twisting my words) it is thinking of developing a tool for gvg. You have to understand my astonishment.

I was thinking about it weeks before, when i understood and saw all people liking it. As a reminder, i come from bg/arenas, not RvR, so i like it very much too. But like i said, one thing after another.

What you do now is
“ok we roflstomp them with our coverage, let’s support gvg”
That is disrespecting your enemy (“they can’t beat us even when we waste spots in zone gvg-ing”), disrespecting your people that still want to wvw and not true to your ideals.
You had no commanders, no queues, burn out among the pugs (and other ppl as well, but only talking pugs now as they are the blood of Viz). Perfect enviroment for wvw.

As I said I like the idea of organising gvg, but wow.. the moment.

Do not talk about disrespect with all the things i had to read and tank without going crazy, all the kitten we had to endure. The last one for exemple: “Troma is a kittening moron,who lives in a fantasy world,completely detached from reality.” Ok fine, np. I always stayed polite, respectful, admited the quality of your guild, your server. I even said SFR played well many time.

Our coverage hasnt changed, it’s just because you moved from SFR and many guilds did it too. Face things a little !

I never meant to disrespect you or my people, i just wan to give an hand, a tool, an help for people who do already GvG. It’s not all day, it’s rare, it wont have any impact on score. It’s just to make it more fun, entertaining, like the poster.

I understand that would not be a natural thing to do for Vizunah but for many other servers doing GvG would be perfectly timed in those weeks. I think there are several guilds out there (like RG and VoTF) who mainly play WvW to get into intense fights. So if there is a situation where regular WvW leaves you wanting in that department it is only logical to look for GvG. And I think that that doesn’t only go for these guild. Most pugs probably like the real intense fights as well.

It doesn’t always have to be guilds even. If 2 commanders have a nice semi-equal following they could start whispering eachother to meet up and kill eachother. You could call this BvB (blob versus blob) though in NA they would also call this GvG. (Too bad skillag limits us in this)

Hello everyone. I have been suggested to speak on the forums even tho I have stayed away from it for as long as I have been playing, and it is with good reason that I speak up now.

The backbone of SFR is having a test at the moment, and it is not an easy one. There have been lots of turmoil and anger from what I have heard and I now think it is time to announce something.
I am coming back to where I belong, I am coming back to SFR, to join the PuGs that I enjoyed playing alongside with since pre launch. I am coming back in 9 days after a well deserved break from some stressful episodes.
This is my first and possibly last post on the forums.

a) You mad.
b) Doing a public announcement of a gvg is fail for reasons. Others interefering on purpose. Ppl will find the zone regardless if you stream only. Less ppl around, more fps for everyone, less mixing up “you had pugs helping you” etc…
c) Reread all my posts on this gvg tool again. I said I like the idea of gvg or even the tool, where you can face-to-face arrange gvg with another GM in privacy. See b) why you don’t want it to be known open hours or days before the happening.
d) I don’t understand your anger. I haven’t spilled any bile. The posts wouldn’t be here anymore if I was. I would do to show you how it looks like but I got too many infractions from German part of forums already.
e) Why would RG promote or develop such a tool if b)?

This is to inform you that as of yesterday, Golden Horde began the process of transferring to Piken Square.

I just want to say a couple of things to avoid any rumors and misunderstanding.

This transfer doesn’t have anything to do with the state of Deso’s WvW community (which is great) and is not a result of any internal drama. You may have noticed that GH almost disappeared from WvW scene not so long ago. It was a result of frustration/loss of interest in WvW as it is now mainly because of skill delay which for us became constant reality due to the fact that blobbing is the thing of the day. But blobbing itself doesn’t bother most of us. Constant skill delay however just kills this game for us.

After several weeks of WvW anabiosis, “waiting for better” and research regarding the state of WvW on other servers in lower tiers, we finally made this hard decision to leave Deso for as long as it would take Anet to find a fix to skill delays.

Deso, we love you. But we cannot stay together atm. Because if we did, there would be no GH as we know it pretty soon. (sad smile).

P.S. I know I was posting earlier that skill delay doesn’t bother me personally that much. But that’s me and then there’s a limit. If it constant, it becomes just ridiculous.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to you guys, was always a pleasure playing alongside you guys. Hopefully we’ll keep in touch and you never know we may join forces again in the future.

It’s a shame tier 1 is messed up atm, all the guilds leaving and now its hard to even find a fight in prime time. Haha we cannot even drop a tier in order to get a change of opposition.

Good job Deso on Viz bl with outmanned buff you fought and defended well… Hills flipped a few times to SFR with their sneaky mesmer who we eventually caught and executed not once but twice leaving neither Viz or SFR to take Hills alone.

Viz got it in the end but by sheer luck that our small defensive force was over stretched with fighting SFR who quite surprisingly despite their numbers jumped ship after viz showed up you kittening cowards lol

Viz your guys are getting lazy twice we came to Cragtop first time we took it undefended second time the blob came to it’s aid and both times no defensive siege tut-tut. I must say tonight being outmanned wasn’t all so bad it didn’t set us back too much and with no repair made a good profit for once heheh.

We were busy doing (A) and winning the week-long matchups while doing (A). While your pugs fled from SFR coverage (the losing side always lacks pugs, same happened to Deso, SFR, BT w/e as well) giving other guilds the opportunity to gvg since they can’t change teh outcome of the week anyways.

I am from sfr and I am basically happy that some guilds left sfr its sad so many left but I am kinda happy they left and that we get many randoms players back to sfr that ive talked to in other servers that left with the guilds.
basically what I have seen in the past months is that guilds in vizunah can actually stand to play with other players while I have seen in sfr guilds run in own teamspeak no command tag up and basically try to tell every random to gtfu.

Troma got my full respect I might not like vizunah square because of blobbing and other styles but I love their tactics the structure and the amazing communication.

sfr is being rebuilt into a stronger server we hope we get new guilds but we also hope we don’t get arrogant guilds that think they are superior than any other. let me remind you one thing here: this is not e-sports this is not clanbase this is not esl where you can win money this is basically a game for 110% fun no business for money there are several pre mades that have asked PUGS to gtfu and many of them have left the server because of it so basically I blame on them for saying it.

they joined sfr they might have helped sfr go t1 but we were t1 before they joined and decided for a tactical withdraw.

the randoms problems got big because of 1 thing. the guilds didn’t want to focus to teach them to make them listen to us to invite them to the guilds so we got hugh ques because of so many randoms joined didn’t know what to do and ignored many commanders that they thought disrespectful and was just there for the exp and the loot. and the guilds rage quieted of course.

and like a fellow commander from sfr said there have been a lot of hatred in sfr but its changing now we are getting far more structure I saw today structure and we had such a great meeting im kinda happy so many left and I hope new guild come and we get to fight vizunah on even ground to fight for the t1 top spot.

my goal is to beat vizunah out of t1 its actually a friendly goal I got friends there and we have made a bet:) im on the losing side atm but the tides can change I play this serious and unserious depends on situation I don’t show to much hatred for vizunah but I have seen so many players take this so serious so its kinda booring its a game after all and I ask them here personally.

now I ask red guard why you are posting here when you have left seafares rest and probably not coming back you got no business here actually your just here to make enemies and to rage on someone because you didn’t succeed in your goal to beat vizunah. in all meetings I have been in I think the reason we failed when we had so many great players is because we had no extremely serious meeting like we had yesterday.

we spent 3 hours making structure it was deadly serious everyone showed one goal: to fight back never to give up to have fun to teach EVERYONE and do what is necessary.

in other meetings with red guard,sin and the rest it was so much laughing they just ok you go there and you go there the rest can go there it was a lot more laughing bad jokes than serious evil gaming:)

amazing im turning against ex fellow players but this need to be said don’t act arrogant because you failed because we failed vizunah holded out they didn’t abandon the server they teached newcomers we didn’t and we paid the price.

I ask vizunah square to ignore all the bullkittenting your a great server been totally amazing fighting you so far even if you do quantity over quality in some maps:)

basically those who are bullkittenting you are ex sfr that are just mad and jealous:) ignore them hit back when you see a real sfr player speaking against you then we can have a nice conversation in here.
