Guild Wars 2

When i was new to the game and started a female norn, i saw some raven shaman npcs at the starting area pretty soon. They were wearing this gorgeous armor. I was really enthusiastic because i thought at some point i’ll be able to get it for my char. So i was a bit disappointed when i found out there is no armor like this for players.
So the question is simple – will we ever get it? At least as a TP skin or something?

I think this is NPC exclusive, sort of to mark the specialness of the NPCs wearing them. Queen Jennah’s got one too, at least in her colours.

Yes it is npc exclusive currently, but i was really hoping it would be available sometime in the future. It shouldn’t even be norn-only, since they could even make Braham’s armor available for all races. Same for the other animal spirit-themed shaman armor – the bear, wolf and leopard armors look gorgeous too. I would really love to see them as player armor….
I know it’s not too likely to happen but i would really appreciate it of course if a dev could give a yes or no answer wether these (or some of these) will be available in the future…
I’m also curious – is it just me who wants these so much? Or would others want them too?

Oh man, that is nice really close up. I think I’d change some pieces to that if it ever became available. Too bad that would most likely be light armor. I’d also love raven wings for a back item at some point for my war.

I also kinda thought that if they make this armor they should make the other shaman armors too maybe… so then if the raven shaman armor’s light, the snow leopard armor could be medium, and the bear armor heavy?

But there’s also wolf shaman armor. I haven’t found good pictures of it sadly, but it can be seen eg. at the jumping puzzle (Shaman’s Rookery) at wayfarer foothills on some npcs. That could be medium armor too i guess.

A Raven wing back item is an awesome idea

Why don’t we have armor for the one story item that doesn’t get used? Like Cycle for Sylvari and Totem Animal for Norn? When we choose it, like when we choose order, we choose an armor set to get

Before they released GW2, they said all NPC armors and weapons would be available to players (whether that be through gems or buyable armor with gold/dungeon tokens).

I’m only hoping they’ll follow through with this, and eventually will release the armors q: They look awesome!

They have years to improve. I would keep hope.

I hope the armour/s become available, but yes, very true. One just has to look at the new ascended weaponry to see how far they’ve moved away from what they originally said before release. But it happens in basically all MMOs; just can’t really trust what is said by development.

I would delete one of my lvl 80’s & make a norn for this armor.
