Got my first one after ~10 minutes when killing the first Veteran Karka during an event (No MF), it had a ticket.

I used to think the drop rate was really high… but looking at the thread opener I’m really shocked (maybe I was just ridiculous lucky…)

You’re supporting bad gem store design. By encouraging them to make more RNG boxes you actively contribute to the game becoming worse. If people refused to buy RNG boxes the monetisation team’s hand would be forced into implementing a more fair value for money system.

The reality of gambling is that the majority of people lose so that the house can win. You might be the lucky small percentage of people who come out on top, but the vast majority of people will be worse off in the end.

Wasting your breath. NCsoft/Nexons target demographic for this pakitteno kittene are koreans, they know their market. You think as consumers they’re going to stop buying crates/keys for the betterment of the game? Maybe after they stop buying tiger kitten soup for the betterment of the world.

I farmed religiously for a couple of hours each day this week and got 21 crates.

And what did I get? 1 portable mystic forge, 1 portable crafting station and 2 focus skins. Are you kidding me? These random chance boxes are really starting to tick me off. Why can’t I just buy the skin I want from the gem store? Maybe I’d actually pay for them if I knew for sure I’d GET WHAT I WANT. Not some random jokes.

I had to consume over 2 kilograms of delicious orange ice cream to overcome my sadness. No weapon skin for me, one sad panda sitting here and being sad. I’m gonna need more ice cream and with sprinkles this time.

Why can’t you just buy the weapon skin? Because you can convert Gold to Gems, which doesn’t help ANET, so they make it easier if you spend money. Remember, its just a cosmetic item, they allow 3 ways to get the chest (Drop, Gold → Gems, or Money → Gems) I wouldn’t complain about how hard it is to get the lowest rarity item

Easier? If I had bought another 20 crates, would’ve I gotten one? Maybe? MAYBE?

Sorry, not easier, easier was an easier word to use ;P

They allow you to have more tries at the same chance (Money → Gems gives you more Gems then Gold→ Gems does)

Which is fine, however a lot of people that say this view, then go spend money on RNG boxes and complain that they didn’t get what they wanted. Saying this, then acting against it, doesn’t make me want to support your argument at all.

No thanks, I’m not paying for a chance to get it. I could buy 100 and still not get one. Grats to those who got one.
