Do you know how much the dyes are?
Assuming they will cost the same amount as they did when previously available (like all other items released in the sale so far), it will be 1 for 125 gems or 5 for 500 gems. Remember though the dye kits are NOT guaranteed to drop one of the exotic Flame & Frost dyes, it’s about a 5% chance per kit opened to get one of the few based on players research.

Are these things only available on that one day? Or for the whole event?
If it’s only the one day I’m going to be kicking myself for not thinking to give a friend my password so they could log in and buy the gathering tools for me while I’m away.

No wintersday mini pets? So not all limited time items will be available?
Not everything will be returning. For example, the Super Adventure Box mini pets won’t be returning either, along with a range of other items. This is just what ArenaNet feels were the most loved items sold over the past year.

Oh, that’s awesome then. I realised shortly after the last one went out of the store that my main character is going to be skipping around maps a lot for the rest of the time I’ll be playing this game and carrying a full selection of tools gets really annoying.
So even though I don’t like the animations I want to get the tools and I was worried I’d miss them again.
No wintersday mini pets? So not all limited time items will be available?
There’s a lot of limited time items that aren’t being re-released in this sale. The other spring mini pets for example. They might be saving them for future events.
Maybe they’re making a new set of minis for Halloween but re-releasing the Wintersday ones (at least the ones that could be made in the Forge from items aquired in-game or bought in the store) every year so they don’t need to re-release them now.
