I have been avoiding the conclusion of my personal story because everyone I spoke with tells me how lackluster Zhaitan is, and that he has to be bugged. Is this still the case? Everyone I know has either done it, or is waiting like I am.

Any word?

Terrible boss fight but it wasn’t bugged for me.

Bugged to the tune of “he doesn’t do anything”?

The fight is more incomplete than bugged.

You can still fight him and beat him and all.. But if you ever played Zelda Ocarina of Time, imagine if Gannon just sat in one place while you can just kill him without him doing anything to you.

Imagine Godzilla is at the top of a building, and you kept shooting at him with guns. Except that godzilla didn’t fight back. That’s Zhaitan. He just had a seizure the whole fight…

Rewards are bugged too (officially confirmed) so there is no point to fight him unless for plot.

Agh, I was hoping it was that he was bugged. Say, will ArenaNet redesign it? I mean, Zhaitan being immobile through the whole fight…

Well, the story mode dungeon is fun and challenging as well as the battle on the airships. So I still think it’s worth doing. Since it is the Arah dungeon story mode, I guess people can always repeat it if they change the mechanics of the Zhaitan “battle.” They are also looking to fix the problem with the loot drop. And according to ANET, they will find a way to adjust the loot for people who already completed the mission.
