Why does it require a blue harveting tool to farm a carrot in a high level zone whereas a copper tool farms that same carrot in a starter zone?

A carrot is a carrot.

Clearly you want to make some of the basic items available in high level zones so we don’t have to go to starter zones to get them. Kudos. But could you at least hand out more carrot’s per swipe of that blue item? The cost differential is pretty big and every time I get a carrot from one of the rooted nodes its a waste of $ as that same carrot costs me less than 1c to farm in a 1-15 zone.

Carrot is not the only item where this occurs – just 1 of many.

I think players should have to go to lower level zones to find a carrot.

That wasn’t a carrot.
Sometimes herbs can be gathered multiple times, and more than one kind of ingredient may drop from them.
When you get a blossom instead carrot when you got carrots before, it’s because you would have gotten something else instead as a bonus.
Now you’ll never know what it was, but it wasn’t a carrot.
