Hello balance team.

I have a suggestion for you guys.

Focus balance around sPvP!… WAIT!! This isn’t some elitist troll thread, let me just explain my perspective as a player who enjoys all aspects of the game and how I think it would still work!

Now I know you guys try to balance everything together without splitting skills, and that’s cool! But it dosent always work. So for skills, traits and mechanics don’t worry about WvW and PvE, and I’ll explain why.

PvE is super easy so isn’t worth it!!!! Jk this is a lot of PvPers concessions and I partly agree but let me put it into a different light that dosent sound so entitled.

PvE has super adaptable players to deal with AI, and perhaps gaming A.I. Pathing and mechanics. I am aware that there are casual players, or even those who cannot keep up with the faster paced mechanics, and trying to force them to learn can be detrimental to their enjoyment of the game… But it’s here I feel the unfairness to sPvP. PvErs of all skill levels can still enjoy the game no matter what… Even if the high end content got super hard and the casuals couldn’t do it they still have more than enough methods to optin for good gear , loot, and gold to make their toon the way they want and allow then to play with even super nieche ways similar to that of torch light 2 which is great! So IMO if there was a slight change in difficulty due to class changes on the PvP side I don’t think it would be all that bad.

As for WvW? KITTY KITTENS OF NO SKILL ZERFESTING KATS! haha not really. But I feel some focus has been lost here, it feels perfect as a game of server strategy using logistics attempting to over take others. Now don’t get me wrong I love the improvements to it, but I don’t think class balance should be a big deal for this part of the game. A lot of imbalances can be delt with via strength of numbers, good use of terrain with numbers and territory control… Ok this is all a round about way of saying don’t balance for viability against and in zergs. If sPvP is the focus for balanced yes some Zerg viable builds may suffer… But I feel there will be a healthier number of people playing different specs due to not haveing an apex preditor Zerg build. This will also meld the nieche and casual builds I mentioned in the PvE section into being more WvW accessible.

Why sPvP instead of splitting skills? TO FIX BROKEN CHEESE NO SKILL META BUILDS GRRRRRRRR… Lol

Jokes aside It’s easier on everyone including the devs! If you think of PvE and WvW as a lot more flexible than it gives so much more leeway. Skills don’t need to be split, and the game plays/runs the same in all parts of the game as intended and notably desiered by the devs … And if a split needs to be made because it’s super under powered in PvE .. a split in the direction of PvE would be a lot fewer and less people would actually be prying for them in general.
