Bloodlust infusion for Ascended weapons.
personally I think this infusion is far too strong in comparison to other infusions, if it gave 1 stat point per kill I think it would be more in line, considering you can only get +5 to a stat and +5 to agony resistance at the moment.

I don’t feel like it’s really giving you much of an edge. Most people do the following before starting to do anything in WvW.
-Switch to two weapons with Bloodlust sigils.
-Kill coyotes until max stacks are reached
-Switch to actual weapons
This infusion saves you the trouble of always switching weapons to build stacks every time you get downed. Seems to me as more of a “comfort of daily life” upgrade and that is exactly why I would like to see it in the game.
except that it elevate the infusion slot to the higher status of a sigil, ex. what if you could use any type of sigil in those open infusion slots, then you could have say sigil of night, Sigil of Force, ect. or essentially doubling the number of sigil slots allowed, I understand that you are saying this as a QoL upgrade but it is far more powerful than that because as you know many choose bloodlust because it is a very powerful sigil, it would essentially allow for a build which gains a free sigil without ever having to leave combat.

Let me clarify something. This infusion could be like the agony resistance infusion that you gain via the mystic forge. It wouldn’t go in an infusion slot.
I agree that it would be strong, but my whole point revolves around the fact that this is already in game. Whether intended or not, people simply have two sets of weapons.
For instance, a thief is wielding dual daggers and a shortbow. Both of the daggers have bloodlust. He kills mobs to max his stacks. He then replaces those daggers with a different set of daggers. The new main hand dagger is a dagger with a fire sigil and the off hand dagger has force on it. This thief now has 25 stacks of bloodlust AND a fire sigil as well as a force sigil.
My point is that people already gain the benefits of bloodlust while using other sigils. I would like this to be implemented to make the process easier.
Or this could be identified as unintended and fixed, but it has been around since release. More likely than not, it’s intended.
You do have a valid point about the bloodlust weapons being a weapon people temporarily switch to. I do this too in WvW. At the moment, infusions don’t really do much other than provide at maximum of 5 points of stats. Which is not that significant. It’s like having 1 extra permanent bloodlust or something.
Thinking through this. Let’s say for instance, I finally got a bloodlust infusion with a sigil of battle. The advantage I’ll be given is that I will still use a sigil of battle plus that I will actually earn a stack from killing. That would be a possible advantage for this in consideration.
I’m rather undecided about this. It seems somewhat “overpowered” but it also makes sense.
Edit: Considering WvW players have a bloodlust from high rank in wvw. I’d say I would agree to a certain degree. If I’ve considered more different aspects that I might not thought of. I would be more inclined to fully agree.

Hey Vegito we talked about this in guild, just posting my thoughts here too.
First off I’m not sure that bloodlust stacks are supposed to stay when you swap to a non-bloodlust weapon. I know its been that way for a long time, perhaps since launch, but it may still be a bug. If so obviously it will be fixed at some point and that’s that.
If it is intended, then yeah we’re just jumping through hoops right now. I would like to see bloodlust be a native trait in say, legendaries? Would be a nice bonus to people that went through the trouble of crafting a legendary. And others could carry on as we have been. Otherwise I totally agree with your point.
I consider stacking sigil effects persisting after removing the weapon with the sigil on it an exploit.

Ascended weapons should accept sigils in general
|Daredevil|Ranger|Guardian|Scrapper|Necromancer|Berserker|Dragonhunter|Mesmer|Elementalist
|Deadeye|Warrior|Herald|Daredevil|Reaper|Spellbreaker
I like the idea that Ascended should NOT get sigil or sigil-like effects. It gives players a choice: do they want higher stats and/or AR, or do they want unique stats.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
