Guild Wars 2

Any player who played GW1 remembered that each class had their own specific armor stats. For me, personally speaking, it gave me so much more of a sense of uniqueness. This was even more prevalent if you were playing a less played class. Right now when I earn an armor, I see it so often (since 2 other classes can also wear it) it doesn’t feel at all special for me. The design of the armors was amazing in GW1. I realize that it is tough to do this in GW2 because there are so many classes and honestly I don’t think this should be a high priority on your list, im just saying it would be nice to have at least one armor set that only a certain class can get.

Edit: Awesome Necro armor in GW1. Fun fact, the chest piece for light from Arah was based off of the chest armor from the Elite Necrotic armor from Guild wars 1. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Necromancer_armor

If you want to be unique, you could mix and match armor to create your own unique style.

Who says you need to wear the CoF armor like 2 million other players?

I try, but its sometimes hard to get armor that goes with certain classes. Necros and engineers are the hardest to mix because there are few armors that go with them, and everryyybody wears them. Arah/TA for necros. SE or a mixture of SE and leather. The others are pretty easy to mix though. I found that out with my warrior.

If there was one set of prestige profession armor, everybody of the same profession would wear them anyways. So how does a prestige profession armor make you unique?

Yeah that’s true, maybe 3 or 4 sets.

I think the real solution is to just have more skins in the game, which will just naturally happen over time as more content gets added to the game.
