Would anybody like Anet to bring back capes???

Not just for guilds but as an extra item to equip (Cosmetic more than practical) I see lots of warriors running around and I always think they would look better with a cape which you could dye.

You could also have it as a cosmetic choice for guilds where the player can choose to have the cape with the emblem on it (Aquire the same way as armour emblems) or the way it is now with the emblem on the armour. (Not both at the same time)

What do you guys think?

Seems like a good idea to me so long as it doesn’t get to a disney-esque level. We’ve got back braces, why not capes?

I believe capes are something they’re planning, and experimented with but took away because of clipping issues?

Either way, the back slot is there, and arenanet loves guilds, so I think capes can be something we can count on in the future.

I love the backpack ! Anything else would be greatly appreciated aswell : )

Yeah, the capes like in GW1, it would be good. But we have slot for it, so I think we’ll have it. =)

Please no capes, I thought they were absolutely ugly in GW1. Perhaps if it looks better, more like a cloak, but no cheesy capes please.

Capes look awesome what you talking about?? Besides you won’t have to wear one yourself, why choose not to implement something lots of people will like just because you don’t want it?

It’s definitely something I’d like to see, especially if they went the GW1 route, and let you display guild emblems on them. It’d also be good for sPvP/tPvP, in my opinion, because they could shift the team colours onto the cape (again, like in GW1), and therefore give some purpose to dyeing PvP armor without it being overridden.

Capes would be a nice addition.

Everybody loves capes + we need to show our guild emblems outside of PvP.

Seriously I feel naked without a cape..

There are no capes because they cause major clipping issues. If those can be solved, capes will be back, why do you think we have a back accessory slot in the first place?

You have the option to disable it.

Cloaks (with and without hoods) would be nice to have in my opinion.
The hoods could be shown ONLY if the head item visibility is disabled.

There are guild armor skins which have the guild emblem on it but the guild must have unlocked that upgrade first. it looks prety nice nut it has some sad issue on it: It is only applicable to a specific chest armor. Probably there is a way to unlock the full set but i havent found out how. Anyway, the guild armors is just a skin and it costs 1 gold and it has a sort of cape for think of it as 250 years later design

there are backpacks in guild shop that have guild emblem on them. they look rather nice and dont cause much clipping issues with exception of sneathed 2h weapons and long hair.

I would support capes and cloaks. Mainly for the reason that warriors would look a lot more appealing to me haha. But in general the kids inside of us just want to have that epic flowing cape flying behind.
