eddited due to a forum glitch?

Hey GW2 dev’s.

I noticed a post about this being made almost 3 months ago.. but saw no A-net postings on it.. so rather than resurect a old post, i figured i’d start a new one.

My question is this. Why did GW2 not launch with a recustomization mechanic in the Cash/Gem Shop? Its something that has been in GW1 for years now, Aion Online i believe ‘launched’ with it when it came out (or was it added in a few months after launch?). GW1 had the option to buy a ‘coin’ that you could then use to change your characters face/hair/color… and a few other things at the PVP island (as thats were the merchants for that were).

Why didnt GW2 launch with it?.. and is this something that might be in the ‘works’ ? If not, can it be added to the ‘to-do’ list?

While this isnt something i personaly want…. In the other thread, they mentioned also letting players re-name their characters. While i know ‘this’ particular item would take alot more work than simply letting us edit our characters (as edditing our character again simply modify’s one file or so, but chaning a name creates an issue were everything linked ‘to’ that name has to be changed as well.), is that also in the works? able to be added for those that might want it?

Your post was extremely hard to read. From what I gathered, you are wanting an item to re customise your character after creation. There is already an item in the game that allows this:

As for changing names, I am pretty sure A-Net will release an item that does that as well.

I had to edit the thing about 8 times… i have no idea why. but one particular paragraph kept getting repeated 3 times in a row, and everything after that got formated into 1 block all together. Honestly have no idea WHY that happend. i literaly eddited it 8 times to finaly get it legible.

As for the makeover thing…. i just loged on about 30 mins ago and didnt even see it XD. When did that get added in? Never saw it mentioned in any patch notes.

ok.. re-read the wiki.. aparently it was added in yesterday…. which is why i didnt see it =) today was the first time i’d gotten back on since thanksgivin’. Still didnt see it mentioned anywere though XD
