Players can use a cast fishing net (CFN) to catch resources, rather than the common rod & reel style, used in other games.
Gameplay
- Random shoreline areas, within the game world, will at random times of the day/night cycle, will display a fishing encounter zone (FEZ).
- Fishing encounters start with a splashing animation. This animation will last for a random period of time, after which the splashing will stop, and restart in a nearby location within the fishing encounter zone.
- The may be anywhere from 1 to a random number, up to a limit, of splashing animations within a FEZ.
- A player can equip and cast their CFN, which is a ground (water surface) targetable skill, to catch the fish. When a CFN cast skill is activated, players place the ground targeting cursor circle over one, or as many splashing animations as they can fit within the targeting circle as they can. Once they click/activate the cast power, they will catch a fish or resource, depending on the quality of the CFN. Multiple animations within the targeting circle, will yield separate results, so players can receive multiple outcomes.
Player fishing skill
- Players will use CFN, as an weapon hot bar equippable item.
- When equipped, the players weapon hot bar will swap to show in slot 1, the ground targetable power, cast. Other 4 slots are blank.
- When clicking/activating slot 1, a ground targeting circle appears, of varying size depending on the quality of the CFN.
- When the power is triggered, players will receive items, depending on the quality of the net.
- Better quality nets have larger targeting circles, to allow for multiple catches, and yield better quality fish/resources.
- Players can use booster items, to gain a boon, that helps in fishing. Either in quality of items yielded, or increase size of their CFN targeting circle.

- CFN’s can be bought at a speciality NPC, or crafted by a tailor.
