Change PvP to be more similar to WvW / PvE
You are missing the whole point of PvP, which is that you don’t have to grind levels and gear to compete. Easy entrance into PvP is an integral part of the Guild Wars franchise.
sure lets do away with the system that took 7 years to balance this far.
PvP is tuned to make switching builds easier. Changing traits is free in PvP, so trait configurations have to be separate from PvE. All equipment stats are on amulets in PvP, so the equipment has to be be separate from PvE.
I doubt players of either side want theirs “fixed.” If anything, I can see a wardrobe system or build template system making PvE a little more like PvP.
The whole idea behind the current system is that you can do it from level 1 and get to 80 purely by PvP if you so desire.
Seems like a lot of people seem to be against what makes gw2 special.
Spvp is great, I don’t have to think twice that my opponent(s) wearing better gear than me. I have access to the same stats (s)he does, only our looks differ.
Then some guy wants to remove down leveling in low level areas… no idea.
Another guy wanted to remove stealth entirely. Actually thats a lot of people lately..
Can people just appreciate it? Learn it? Study it? sigh Next its going to be “remove the gem store because it forces people to buy cosmetics to look cool”
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”
I think you should change PvP to become more familiar to PvE and WvW. Or allow the option to remain the same in PvP. By that I mean when you enter heart of the mists you should retain your items and stats (weapons, armor, ect) that you have in PvE and WvW.
I DO NOT PLAY PVP EVEN THOUGH I…
Yea, I stopped reading here. If you don’t take the time to learn the ins and outs and even the whole purpose(no stat difference, purely balanced) of spvp don’t start telling the devs what they need to do to it.
I didn’t write the OP well. My main point is that it is about the looks. Why change our appearance?
Realize that the cosmetic parts of this game are more important to many people than any other part of it. People going into PvP are greeted with red pajamas or whatever as their default skins are not going to be thrilled with the idea of another system of cosmetics/skins. Yes – I did check out the lockers and figure out how to get other trinkets and accessories / weapons. That is not the point. I want to at least LOOK exactly like I do in the other areas of the game. Forget the stats – I realize you can change them easier in PvP for balance and that is great.
I did not communicate well in my OP. I just want to look the same as I do in PvE and WvW. Just give me the option to use the same armor and weapon skins I have. Do that and I might stick around in the Heart of the Mists instead of using it as a way point to LA.
I’m just giving a suggestion to the devs. I’m not trying to tell them to do anything. Maybe there are enough people in PvP already that you don’t need more.
PvP rewards are all cosmetic – for someone who plays only PvP, they’d be stuck wearing their starter armour (with no shoulders or gloves?) unless they dipped into PvE. If you want to look nicer in Heart of the Mists, why don’t you use your PvP skins from the achievement chests?
