With the current system, legendaries are P/V/T by default and the only way to change this is by transmuting them onto an exotic with the desired stats – this effectively breaks the weapon by removing its legendary status.

My suggestion is this – add Mystic Forge recipes to combine a Legendary with one material of the appropriate type (such as Blood = Berserker and Passiflora = Shaman’s) to change the stats of a legendary.

I thought they already changed the transmuting issue? I’m not sure though. Anyways, your suggestion is good, if they haven’t fixed it yet.

I think a really nice thing that would make Legendaries even more special without unbalancing the game would be to add a drop-down menu to the weapon out of combat that allows you to choose the desired stat combination.
That would be a very cool feature.

It would indeed! Please make a full thread for it Mungrul! I don’t think anyone would complain that the weapon that cost you more time effort and money than making all possible Exotic weapons could be made into any Exotic weapon.

they did fix this, sort of. the legendary has to be on the right side of the transmutation window, not the left, iirc.

Personally, I think they should just let you choose the stats upon successful creation.
