The medium armor on the charr drapes so you cannot see the feet/legs. There is only one armor (the WvW karma armor) that I have found that shows the feet and the bend of the leg. This is crucial to assess positioning for jumping puzzles.
I would really like more short coat armor options for this reason. Personally, I love the long coats (would like a tail hole though) but they do have a real impact on game mechanics.
