Please add chat notification sounds for party chat an whisper chat.
these sound should be very small and quiet, but enough so you would notice when some one chats while in battle.

the sound for party chat should be different from whisper chat (altough not a must)

this is a basic easy to implement feature that is really missing in the game…

yes, i definitely would like this for whispers, and i suppose too for party chat although i don’t care as much about that.

I think that would be a great idea also. Even if it is a simple “tick” noise. I have missed so many private messages because of this. I do not believe it would do any harm for players who do not want the sound, just have an option to turn off chat sounds in the options.

I may have a broken game then, cause my chat is split for a separate whisper window and when I am in party window or map chat window it dings for me.

@Kaimick.5109 – you didnt break the game – you can customize each window to select what it will display. so you can have a window espacillay for party chat and a window that contains both map chat, private chat, party chat etc…

I agree with this idea as well. Sounds when a friend or guildie pops on. Sounds for guild chat, party chat and whisper chat.
I cant count how many times I get a chat message and I’m far to focused on doing my thing and not watching the chat window to see new messages. A simple “ping” would help to not miss those texts and keep me from looking like an kitten =P
