I need to be able to group up for events and Anet is isolating me and ruining my game experience due to chat suppression. Whose idea was that? Hmmm?

In life and business there comes a time you have to admit that your idea that seemed good… is not good.

If not you are simply chasing off the good people with the bad. Please stop trying to chase me away. I’d like to keep giving you my money.

Think about it.

just stop reposting the exact same message.. it’s there for bots that have no creativity..

just reword your LFG messages so you dont say exactly the same thing and you wont get hit by it..

This is not just from posting the same message. This is happening to me even when I’m having a normal (and short) conversation with someone in /say. 5 messages in a 13 minute time period with uniquely worded messages is not by any stretch of the imagination “spam”. I also get the suppressed message on the first message I have typed in 30 minutes or more. How is that “excessive” when I haven’t said a word in half an hour? Or god forbid you say “ty” twice in an hour after getting rezzed by someone.

I’m really baffled by this because it seems that some people are not affected at all and others are getting it constantly for whatever reason. I know if everyone was being affected by this equally the forums would be on fire because it’s preventing the multiplayer aspect of the game which can’t be the intention. ArenaNet just doesn’t seem to care much about it I guess.

The amount you can use chat is absurbly low before suppression kicks in. I’ve even been suppressed for excessive chat, when it was first time I chatted that day; go figure. Tonight I was suppressed for putting waypoints in chat for events that popped in an area I was scouting, so my posts were about 10-15 minutes apart.
