I’m gonna try and make this as short as possible.
I’ve seen enough people fighting over tags in PvE area, you port to LA and you see like half a million Commander and worst of all you go to WvW only to find 4 tags up and arguing, you pick one to follow and he or she ends up driving the entire group off a cliff.

Commanders tags should be taken away. Refund the gold, take the tags and prevent a player from simply “buying” the tag.

- Rank system : there has to be a ranking system. Simply buying the tag is just not fair for the good Commanders ! the player should have enough experience in WvW to be able to lead.

- Colors or Icons: PvE Commanders should not be allowed to just tag up in WvW and run around like they know what they are doing and they sure as hell shouldn’t have the same tag.

- Feedback/Votes or whatever: No matter how hard it is to get something, people always find a way -.-’’ just look at all those people with a legendary and have no idea how the most basic stuff work (wut? bots? no way!) the players should have the right to force a Commander to tag down WITH like a 20 mins cooldown !

- Tag inactive timer : automatically tags down when the player is afk for an X amount of time. I do not enjoy.

PS: its really unfair that there is literally nothing in the game that separates the skilled WvW from the skilled PvE players, legendary weapons are nothing nor are the ascended or titles ( which anyone can get just by sticking to a zerg all the time ). You complete 100% of the map and you get a little star for everyone to see. You kill 100’s and 100’s of people in WvW, become a very good well known commander, and you get nothing.

Maybe a rank system, the basic tag you buy fr 100gold starts off white then ranks as you WvW with it active to blue > green > yellow > orange > pink > purple. Then you can see which commanders are more experienced. Ofc.. then this would lead to people ignoring the less experienced ones so they wouldn’t have chance to lvl.. hmm.

The less experienced commanders are, naturally, lead by the more experienced. Used in splitting fashion, you can get more done, get more experience. The only problem with that is we don’t have a back history that goes far enough. . . or maybe we do, wait.

Take all of the WvW achievement tracks (you know those titles which you’ll be finishing, like, ten years from now) and add up the points on a slightly weighted scale (like, 1 point per Supply spent, 5 per dolyak kill, 15 points per keep capture), and come up with a new cumulative WvW achievement track which is used primarily for placing the commanders into these ranks, like Dinsy mentioned. It’s a good idea

(then once you left WvW it’d go back to your PvE rank status, like maybe total achievement points, etc.)

We are such flecks as stars are made of. . .

This. The system Op proposed would make the highest ranked commanders go higher in rank, and the lower ranked commanders stay low in rank. It would not do one single thing to help the problem, because there are commanders with alot of WvW experience that still suck as commanders, and there are some newer ones who just got their tag that are actually pretty good.
