I was just reading through some really awesome threads and this idea hit. Well I can’t really take credit. A user by the name of Krusader really came up with it, I’m just throwing it up in the suggestion thread.

Wouldn’t this be freaking awesome? Just imagine it, you put in a ticket with Arena Net specifying what character we want done, and they send a copy of the character model used in the game (complete with our armor and weapons) to whatever company they can partner with that has a 3D printer (heck they could invest in one and do this in-house) and a few minutes later there is a complete statue of your character ready to go. It could even be available in different sizes.

Miniature collectors and hardcore fans would freaking love this, and Arena Net could get away with charging a fortune for them (I think a hundred dollars for a twelve-inch statue with accurate to game armor and weapons –even mismatched sets- would be reasonable). Heck I bet some players would even want multiple, such as getting the same character in different armor sets, or one for some of their alts. I doubt anyone would even care if they have to paint them themselves.

When I first saw the name of this, I thought it was going to be about an in-game statue of you somewhere, like in your home instance or something, that is of your character. Maybe a statue for each of them even? Kinda like the ones outside of Stonewright’s Steading in the Hoalbrak. Maybe they could summarize everything the characters have completed.

But this is also a great idea! I know old D&D fans who used mini’s would love to have copies of their characters!
