Expand On End Game - Add Underworld
It has been said that the answer to raids are in the works. I really hope it’s Underworld or FoW, or follows the same concept. I really can’t wait to hear what they’re working on and hope it’s one of the things mentioned in Thursday’s blog .
I really hope they make it solo able. I enjoyed taking my Ritualist to the UW and tackling the mobs there by myself.
I hated the Underworld in GW1. The only reason people went there is because it dropped “Globs Of Ectoplasm” which were worth 7 Plat, and helped towards Oblivion armor.
It was a grind, nothing more. The “Tense” I from it was spending 1 plat just to get in, it really makes you tread your feet, and take your time.
Too boring IMO.
I didn’t love any of the elite content in Guild Wars 1, though I did all of it. I don’t suspect elite content in Guild Wars 2 will be soloable, though. It’ll be designed to require people to work together. That’s sort of the point of it. It’s what most hard core players are asking for.
Make a Living Story based around the human Gods which leads us to a new 8 player instance/elite dungeon – Underworld.
Make it skill intensive, requiring great coordination and teamwork.People played original UW for YEARS endlessly till GW2 came out.
Why can’t Arena Net add something similar in GW2 so we "" hardcore "" people can be happy?
Sorry to say to you Arena Net, but adding more Fractals is not the right way to expand on the end game.
You “hardcore” people were mostly solo farming for ectos or doing speedclears for pretty much same reason. Now you “hardcore” people are grinding cofp1 till exaustion.
Please dont even pretend that people like that wants new instance just for fun experience, that would be blatant lie. I bet you first wouldnt step twice in it if it took 1hr to finish it, with reward beeing standard dungeon xhest, am I right?

Yay farming with my SoS Rit required great coordination and most of all teamwork! Between my spirits of course.
Why can’t it be in fractals and why can’t it use 5-man teams. You are just asking for the old underworld to come back and there is absolutely no reason to do it…

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t ANet’s intention to have UW devolve into a glorified farming zone.
As for bringing it back, a straight copy wouldn’t work. Examine what made the content fun and engaging, and then use these to build similar content that fits into the style of this game.

I would love to see brutal open PvE area with entry free. With harsh anti-zerg mechanics and some kind of resource/power level which would reset upon death (in nut-shell, events would scale based on players’ power levels and with enough power you could open new areas and stuff).

Raids are certainly fun, but with no holy trinity (not as clear atleast) they have to make large group dungeons carefully so all builds have a place. No more cof p1, thats just a sad place.

Underworld and/or Fissure of Woe in Guild Wars 2? Yes please.
Was very popular in the original Guild Wars. I’d play it more for the experience/fun in a coordinated group than for the high level-drops. Could play it with a few rl-friends for hours and not get bored.
Make it challenging! Make it force you to coordinate with your group! I know Guild Wars 2 is all about “every class can be anything”, but you can still pull off roles!
Why something Human related for end game content? The end of the story line is already majorly tied to Humans, I’d like to see something featuring one of the other races.
