Exotic celestial armor has really screwed over those of us with 5 Celestial ascended accessories.

Why? The exotics are better. In order to make my character stronger, I should trash the 5 ascended items I have, get exotic celestial, and then swap to berserker trinkets.

This is beyond the normal kind of annoyance that would come with new gear coming out that is better to min/max with.

This is just unbalanced. Celestial ascended either needs a buff, or exotic Celestial needs a nerf.

Doing a quick stat comparison of Syzygy (ascended amulet) and Charged Quartz Orichalcum Amulet (exotic amulet), both of which use celestial stats:

Syzygy (bear in mind stats from amulet and ‘jewel’ are combined since a recent patch)

Why does the exotic amulet have higher magic find and same Critical Damage despite both being Celestial stats? XD

but you can add 20% magic find on ascended… or 20% gold… they still give something better and room for improvement

I could do a ring or accessory comparison instead, and with the utility only applying to amulets, I suspect I will get the same sort of comparisons with MF.

yes, you are right, and yet you can add +5 stat of choice +5 agony resistance in rings and trinkets, but yes, ascended should definitely be better than exotic on that i agree

Every other stat combination in the game gets a hefty stat boost going from exotic —> celestial.

When the patch hit, threads about this were being deleted for some reason. Not sure what Anet is planning.
