With the announcement and subsequent long wait til the 28th, it has become incredibly clear that many tiers are now completely inbalanced, with many servers that should be either higher or lower than the tier they are in destroying or being destroyed by their competition. While the current rating system will adjust and catch up, it will take many weeks for servers to either slide down, or inch up to be where they belong.

I would recommend that on the 28th, we start over. Have a play off system of 48 hr matches to once again find out where every server now belongs so that we can try to get through this as a community of people who enjoy wvw without losing people in the process. Whether you are on a winning server or not, I’m sure you can agree that the worst thing that can happen is to have people quit because of obvious imbalances caused by a pretty game breaking decision to announce an actual date when free transfers end. Also, with so much new stuff coming, we wan’t everyone on equal footing to enjoy the changes.

This is a solid suggestion. It might hurt some server morale, the weaker ones, but would get WM outta the basement sooner, and sort out the top few tiers.

Ive made multiple threads about this since the exodus began, all deleted as this one will probably be a victim to aswell.

I think it’s a great idea. The tiers are in chaos, and the rating system ensures that some servers will be facing a months-long journey to the bottom.

I would like to see this. Extremely doubtful it will happen .. It’s gonna take a month at least for WvW to be as balanced as it was pre-announcement.

This is a great idea.

this should be implemented because the servers are in havoc now. Everyone’s rushing to get to places before the paid transfers are here and its making it imbalanced almost every tier.

Any thoughts from the dev team – also moving this here is going to take away alot of readership from the WvW population that don’t pop in here.

This needs some visibility. If not a reset, reverting to 24/48 hour matches for a week or so will also help the tiers settle much faster. WvW post 28th is going to be a terrible grind for at least a month if nothing is done for the servers that have had drastic population shifts.
