why cant we switch out a skill on 6-0 until the skill has cooled down during noncombat?
if a skill is in cooldown , we should be allowed to at least switch out the skill for another skill during noncombat to make it fair , i would accept still waiting the length of the orevious skills cooldown rate, but at least let us change it, and make it so that the skill would still be in cooldown after u switch it out to prevent “switch casting” ; casting a spell , switching to a different skill then switching imediately back to the original skill to cast it again avoiding cooldown

wth is up with the camera ?, it sux, please instead of zooming the camera when theres a wall behind me allow a slight clip and maybe a slight zoom but going from zoomed all the way out to almost first person (which is an issue also, i’ll get to that) is really annoying, sometimes i lose my targets and end up dead, situations i know i could have survived if i could just see my enemy, there is no first person , y? i dont want to look at the back of my toon ALL the time, when i zoom in i want to look at something more closely not at my toons back side, when zooming in camera height is at the knees to well above the head, can we move it down a smidge, i wanna see my toons feet…….

Didnt read the whole forum, so I’m not sure if this has already been a suggestion. But, I have an idea to help make characters more customization. Perhaps in the next major expansion add more chain abilities to weapon skills and be able to use traits/skill points to unlock alternate chain skills as well. Giving characters the ability to roll out their own combo moves that link and flow together. Creating characters that flow through combat much more fluidly. I like the way the thief plays, but even that class could use some work. Just an idea, feel free to add or critique. If anyone even reads these that is :P

I suggest mounts. Also I already suggested mounts here, but it was less detailed and in a bunch of other things, so I hope this doesn’t fall in the category of spam.
Also if the described kind of mount system was implemented, it would probably require an expansion (which is fine by me if that’s what it takes for proper implementation).

Anyway, I don’t mean the kind of implementation of mounts that WoW has. Most of the things people said about adding or not adding mounts, is based on the presumption that mounts = speed and aesthetics, without mentioning anything else.
I agree that the WoW system works that way and, along with many other people it seems, I find it boring. The mount system I have in mind is more like vehicles (with combat), with different movement and movement controls (in WoW your movement speed is only scaled up, with everything else being identical). It would probably also be nice if they didn’t disappear when you’re not riding them like they do in WoW, where they spawn under your kitten and disappear from under your kitten although that would raise the question of how to get them ready. I would very much like to summon my mount, possibly by whistling and having the mount spawn some distance away (like DE mobs) and run towards me – or something, or with magic mumbo jumbo (I like magic mumbo jumbo). Then I guess one would be able to send the mount back home for whatever bonuses that would have for not having your mount wait or follow you around while you’re on foot.
Mounted combat could probably be sort of similar to underwater combat, in the sense that you have different weapons skills (to adapt them – leaving them as similar to normal skills as possible – to mounted combat, which I guess would have options like attacking in infrequent powerful charges, exchanging blows with the target in melee range like usually (while having some more brute force to make up for not being able to dodge roll), or simply shooting the target with ranged skills and preferably kiting it, also like usually*) and mostly the same healing and utility skills, with some of them being slightly changed or disabled if they’d make too little sense to use on a mount (like the engineer’s rocket boots). The elite skills would probably be more difficult to adapt, but I guess underwater combat had the same problem, so it wouldn’t be so difficult to overcome. It would also be very nice if mounted combat was balanced with the normal kind, which would allow players to choose the gameplay they prefer in the same situations and that way mounts could also be allowed in more places, like dungeons and WvW (and if WvW, then also structured PVP I guess). If they were historically accurate, I’m fairly certain they would be much less useful for siege and more useful (on account of speed they’d likely have) to hunt down caravans and groups of players and probably also for raiding (and capturing) those resource camps (in short, they’d be useful where there’s lots of space and no fortifications). I am however worried about the possibility of making mounted combat a personal choice, because without looking into the problem, mounts would be either a superior choice because of increased speed, or boring if they had no speed bonus. Maybe people who wouldn’t like to use mounts could get the same speed bonus without them somehow (I already find running around on foot annoying myself anyway).

*I have no idea how those kinds of combat could be balanced (maybe melee would have a hit and run charge ability on cooldown to compensate for the lack of dodge and), particularly the ranged kiting abilities that you’d have with a speed bonus, so I’m not going to write any more solutions to that, because they’d sound (and probably be) stupid. But I would like to point out that, (as far as I know) when heavy body armor was widely used, heavy cavalary had a status similar to tanks now (but to a lesser extent of course) because it’s possible to put more armor on a big and strong horse and also on the rider. That’s my justification for wanting to be able to have more oomph on a mount, if mounts and mounted combat were ever added, so instead of it being a tradeoff of survivability for speed, you could have more brute force together with clumsiness (like tanks – again, both to a lesser extent).

Dual wield animation - if character is dual wielding eg. two axes then 1st skill would show animation of attacking once right hand and then left hand. It’s only about animation not dmg, because now it simply looks weird when right hand swing furiously and left is just hang there useless :/

Please remake the Warrior elite: Rampage into something remotely useful. I’m sure by now (hopefully) you realize this skill is terrible. The transformation skills are terrible. They are clunky and slow, and easy to dodge and lock you into melee combat (extremely bad for pvp purposes). The skill would be better as a strait stability buff which is how bad the transformed skills are. It was obviously designed to be the PvP elite, but at the moment, there are essentially zero situations where you would want to use this elite.

Remove the transformation skills. Yea i know, on paper they sound cool and useful. In reality, its the main reason no one uses this elite. Replace it with anything (or nothing if you so choose) and you might actually see people use it. I’d recommend temporary condition immunity or something (like can’t be snared or slowed, etc which would keep in the theme of an “unstoppable rampage”.

Call me when this game gets fixed…. if it ever does….

I’ve seen sum good suggestions and then I have seen people moaning about some features that you really do not need. People must know that Anet cannot satisfy everybody’s wants therefor only post suggestions that you think would really contribute to the game.

1) This game needs Arena: Dueling, 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 structured arena. Also some way to reward it with rankings, rank based points and things to buy with you points at your rank.

2) This is a suggestion to the Forum: Likes, people must be able to like your posts and show the number of likes a post has. It would be a great help in a Topic to see what the community thinks without them having to comment. Plus would be nice to have a little avatar under our names when we post.

3) We need to know what we want. We need to be able to preview how the items in the Trade Post look. Many times I have wanted to buy a new skin for an armor piece or weapon then I had to buy the item to see the skin, didn’t like it and had to sell it again. The other thing we want to see is what other players are using, what their specs are, etc. This you can either resolve with an inspect option or an online armory.

i have a just one suggestion: i think, that you should put some higher rewards to wvwvw bags, and dont make + magic find items have any influence on their drop rate. Many people are currently spending a lot of time on these matches, and i think they should have opportunity to get the same valuable rewards to those obtainable at pve. Plus: if someone will fight there, it guarantees that their build wont be farm – based.

The PvP System in the Mists is very bad , if you join Tpvp there with a Premade Group you farm Random Group mostly and if you join alone then you play with a Random Group against a Premade Group. In Spvp there people running around in Group and just farming Points and dont care about to cap/defense the 3 Points to win the Game. This isnt fun , its boring/unbalanced. So i have 5 Suggestions to solve those Problems.

1.) make a 5vs5 Free Tpvp Random vs Random Signup , means you can sign up only alone

2.) the 5vs5 Paid Tpvp is for Premade vs Premade mainly for strong Premade Groups which are interested in the upcoming Arena System

3.) make a 5vs5 Free Tpvp Premade vs Premade Signup , where People can sign up as a Group mainly for People which like to play with Friends/in Groups

4.) only People with Rank 10 should be able to join Tpvp , People with low PvP Experience should first do some Spvp to learn the Class and PvP Basics

5.) the 8vs8 Spvp need to be changed because People running in Group with like 5 Players in a Circle and just farming EXP and dont care about to cap/defense the 3 Points to win the Game , if the Game Modus would be Capture the Flag for exsample and the Winning Team gets more EXP then People actually would play for the Flag to win the Game

The engineer’s “Grenade” skill was nerfed too much, adding with the critical damage, it was less more than 40%~50% than before. I don’t know there is any kind of sigil that can replace to this kind of damage. Even the “Freeze Grenade” skill does more damage than the “Grenade” skill. I really don’t know what the hell you guys were thinking, but next time you guys making decisions like this, you need to think twice and test before making any change!!

1. Cannons/Tanks: Will A-net EVER fix the broken animation for things like tanks in story mode? I mean, i couldn’t aim without my character moving and later on actually getting ’’disconnected’’ from that tank. Not to mention cannons etc are broken too.

Guild Wars 2 being a modern game i expect it to have modern animation. Characters could mount the cannons with actually effects to fit everything else quality-wise in this game. Not that you character just stands idle, staring into the void while arrows fly from your arrow cart or your TANK (which should be enterable, COME ON!).

You seriously need to add some more animation to this, this makes the game just seem broken and unfinished. It’s a damn 2012 game, it should have animation for every damn occasion. I can’t stand HUGE things like this in a game of this caliber.

2. Forms (Tonics etc..):
First of all, a jaguar can’t strike while running or even JUMP? Pouncing disturbs your movement? Animation are stiff as hell? The ’’dodge’’ effect is a quick sprint to that direction? THE BACKWARDS ANIMATION IS SLOW ’’FORWARD’’ ANIMATION? WHAT IS THIS IS DON’T EVEN!?!

Okay, i’m not raging but these things should not exist. Ever. Maybe in alpha. These things are bad even in beta and people did tell you this but there has been NO comments on these what so ever by the devs. Ofc if some of you seen, please enter them here, i’d like to read them.

But in my opinion, these forms and whatnot need some unique animation for these things. The basic race skins are so pure and beatifully animated. Everything is fluid.

I mean look at the Asura, when you start running you can see them shifting they gravity because they ran rather fast for their size. Or when changing directions/stopping suddenly. This is something i really, really respect. But this game has original mob-npc animations from 2003.

3. Immersion adding animations (which is not so important, i just think without these the game looks dull and boring.):

-Interaction with the enviroment. And this brings me to a rather funny thing. There are chairs in Tyria but no1 uses them. Ever. Everyone is standing. We have tables, which again, no1 ever use. We have beds, which seem to be pointless.

-Hand movement while people talk. I know there is some but more is needed. Specially for normal players.

-When you craft something, like in aion i think you spawned an anvil or whatever when blacksmithing, altho i might be wrong. It’s been a while. I mean, it would fit if you make a bow or something like that, your character would check out stuff like bow strings while you are at the huntsman table or whatever.

-Off-hand attack animation (Purely cosmetic). This is just so that the second axe/sword/dagger wouldn’t just sit in your hand. You would actually strike with it while using the main attack skill.

-Emotes. We need more emotes.

I bet the forums have a thread like this but i also have NO idea where should i actually post this :| Other than discussion board, suggestions? Enlighten me if needed.

Ps. Those that use ‘’BUT ITS F2P!’’ as an excuse. NOT A GOOD EXCUSE. Gw1 had had better animation in some parts than this game not to mention they asked even less money for that game and they kept it up beautifully.

Not to mention there are games that actually have interactive animations like sitting on a chair or something.

I have not read through all the posts but I suggest that there should be a way to view my deposited collectables and banked items without being at an actual bank. With most people working on crafting and the like, we can keep track of our collection.

Something that intrigued me to join guild wars 2 was that the personality of the character would be unique. However, I don’t really feel it from my female asura when I went through Nobel, Diplomatic, and Captivating. Recently I heard my asura say “You’re dumb, you’ll die, and you’ll leave a dumb corpse,”… not exactly captivating. Perhaps we can have some variety in what characters say in accordance to their personality. Though not already in the game yet, maybe we can have talking between characters doing an event, guild members/ friends close by, and while doing a combo to increase the depth of each character’s personality.

Edit: a recent idea I had while playing gw2 with my friend is the realization that though each personal story is different, people who pick the same race multiple times can get bored of their personal story since it has the same general feel as all the other “human” stories, “asura” stories, etc. Therefore, maybe we can have an interaction between the races where a human, for example, starts out in the charr place and gets to play their story line rather than the standard human one so that they can have a feel for the charr story line while still being able to keep their physique and look.

I think the cooldown on elite skills is to high. Usually you have to wait 180/240 to use that skill again.

And usually elite skills aren’t the difference maker at all. They don’t fell like an elite skill.

Hello GW2 developer, I would like to point out that the upgraded version of the back piece Book of Secrets looks the same as the original. Considering the cost to make this item, please add special effect to the book to make it more appealing. I recently made mine and I was really disappointed, to the point where I want my 250 globs of ectos back. It felt like a negative reinforcement to make this item. Other members in my guilds are deciding not to get the upgrade. Please consider my point of view. Thank you

I see a lot of folks in the other forums mentioning that they want to be able to wear other types of armor for the look and not the stats, and some thought transmutation would be best for that.

But what about something like this…armor skins that can be purchased in the shop or dropped randomly like any other loot, or in dungeons, or a mix of all of that…and these armor skins can be transmuted (or double-clicked to apply) to any kind of armor type. So if you want to have a “Battle Mage” look or you wanna be a sleek warrior in leathers you could pull it off with the skins.

It could also address folks wanting Style pieces to be applicable to actual armor rather than street clothes only. Additionlly it gives a lot more options to make truly unique looking characters rather than each class basically looking much the same but with different colors. Could potentially be a nice money maker for ANet as well. City of Heroes had lots of costume options that did not change the stats on the characters, it was all purely cosmetic and it was very successful in it’s time.

Might be worth a spare thought or two.

Can you add a “Wardrobe” Section? It’s not like we can make our own clothes and import them. They are purchased via the store and it just would make sense to have a “Collectable” section for the clothes just like the Minis.

Also there is a feature in GW1 that I really feel would be helpful here in GW2. Right now, if you want to find a party for anything, you have to spam the Main chat and after the first 2 times, I always get suppressed due to excessive spamming. If there are a lot of people spamming then my message will get lost quickly and then it makes it hard to get a group. In GW1, you could open a screen in town that would allow you to “POST” your need for a party and people could scan through and find what they were interested in and join you without all the Main Chat spamming. That left chat open for what it was really meant to be used for, chatting. The one thing I would like to add to this that wasn’t part of this feature in GW1 I think you should also be able to use this feature to Spam for Guild recruiting.

Right now, if we press ‘P’, it will pop a small menu from our picture in the upper left hand corner to add people to your party. Instead I propose that when we press ‘P’, it opens a window called ‘Party Finder’ (with a second tab available in it for Guild Recruiting). This is where we could say, ‘LFG3m Fract – lvl 4’ (or whatever) and then tick the [post] button allowing it to be added to the list of others looking for a party for different reasons. Also, this would be where we could find a party we are interested in joining and after selecting the one wanted, you could tick the [join party] button and it would send a party request for the party in question, at which point they could accept or decline. Once a party is made, either the original party poster could remove the post or as they left the area, it would automatically be removed.

Please make a use for thick leather: This drop is essentially vendor trash loot because of total lack of demand on the trading post. Generally making the armor professions less generic by making leatherworking valuable to all armor classes might help.

Chained Dynamic Events in Frostgorge Sound: Everyone farms DE’s in Orr. Why not Frostgorge?

Make a high level salvageable wood drop: One might exist but I’ve never seen it after months in Orr and Frostgorge. Fabric, leather and metal all have an item. Why not wood?

Randomize all T5 resource node spawns: They are the magnet for the new bots

This is my attempt to write a little post about my concerns about the game in its current state and what I think we need in order to move forward and continue to make this game our/my dream game. I’ve been a fan ever since I saw a video of Gw2 on YouTube and was forever hooked and wanted it to be released so I could get my hands on it. Let’s stop ranting and get straight on the suggestions I have for Guild Wars 2.
Let’s begin with the PvP shall we?
I’ve always been that PvP type of guy in any game I’ve been playing. I’ve always wanted to compete about being the best. And right now there is almost nothing to it on the competitive side of PvP. What we need is several game types, not only conquest.
Could be:
-Arena
-Moba gamestyle
-Could involve some type of jumping puzzle
– For example, imagine a jumping puzzle faced at each other, first to get to the middle (the plateau) wins. Could also be first to the plateau is given an advantage and them some kind of fight takes places, team that survives win. – Then we have the more casual gamestyles like capture the flag ( could be with rules as if you would play it in real life, with prison, the map divided in two with each team having one of the side etc)
Now the most important thing is ladders and ranking to make it competitive, with fast and easy queues. As many have noticed it is kind of hard to play with friends in the “casual games” like the snowball PvP and quickjoin. This is due to “we don’t want premades”. I can understand that solo queuers don’t want to get stomped by premades but this affects most people poorly who want to have a great time with their friends. This has to be looked into because it can’t continue like this in the future.
DUELING, One very controversial topic.
The most commonly answer to this is that you will be able to duel when the rentable arenas comes out, though I don’t think that is the right way to handle the issue. Who wants to setup, invite, get to the arena and all that just because a duel? Would maybe take 3 minutes for a duel to take place. Do not fear fellas. I believe I have a great idea for this “issue”.
The solution is to make an ARENA in the mists, with all kind of environmental objects. You easily get to the arena and then there is this list where you can pick opponents and search for their names. Both have to stand in the surroundings to pop up on the list and then one can send the other contestant an invite that they either can accept or decline. Then there is this other list where you can spectate ongoing duels. Then we can make this even fancier and make 2v2, 3v3 with real queues serverwide, both ranked and unranked (for fun). And one of the games you should be able to modify some features like if you want resurrection to be possible etc. As we see in the world we have workers building and rebuilding things all over the world. This Arena/colosseum doesn’t need to be in the mists it can be all over the world and be moved from time to time to convenient places. Likes cities, key thing is that it shouldn’t be a pain to get there. This will help the world be a little bit more alive than it is.
The CAMERA.
Coming from other games the camera is rather narrow in this game, even after the little fov (field of view) change. Some of you might experienced the lovely Halloween BUG, when the camera got stuck at max range after the dungeon. I have some picture I would like to share with you from that bug that I think give you a great perspective.

What I believe is that the camera is way close to your character at the moment. You cannot experience the world in such a way that I am sure most people would like and enjoy more than the default we have currently. I and many other who experience it during the Halloween is living proof of this.

Now about annual events and Cities, just like wintersday.
I love these events so far if we disregard the lag and the things that didn’t went so smooth on the karka for example. But it can only get better and I am sure it will. So far I love the wintersday and I’m sure there is lots of goodies I haven’t seen nor experienced yet but there is some things I have noticed. For example the “trixx ship” could vary a little bit more from city to city, maybe throw in a jumping puzzle and some of the FOTM concepts, since they were quite unique. Though the wintersday jumping puzzle was superb, maybe a little too short for my liking, maybe add a new path every fifth day or something like that.
I went to Divinity’s reach the other day to the to trixx dungeon, and to my disappointment there was no christmas feeling there. I think Arenanet should devote themselves to the other cities just as much as they do to Lions arch, and put events/minigames in each and every city to make it unique in order for people to come visit there. To reduce this “ghost town” feel everyone is talking about. Now to one very important detail that I think can make “wintersday” to the "wintersday it should be. The Christmas presents, in my opinion I think it should contain something of value, something more than some materials. Something very interesting, and a slight chance of something very very rare. That very rare thing could be a mount (if they introduce that in the future) it could even be a legendary, some nice outfit. I hope you get the point, a real Christmas present.
Neat Features, many drops make a river.
One feature I think would come in handy is an improvement of the preview function. I’m sure everyone have come across previewing a weapon and your clothes hides it all. What I am thinking of is a preview when the character is in action and holding the weapon like he/she would do in a fight so you actually can see how it looks like.
Another thing is to add a timer on buffs (optional), for example if a thief uses his shadowstep, he/she should be able to know in seconds how long its left before he/she cant return anymore. Small things like that can makes huge different when planning how to setup your fight against you opponent.
Jumping puzzle of the week
This Idea is something I think would a be a carrot for people to come online and have a great time. You could add a timer and the faster one of the week get something really nice. The Jumping puzzles could be around 15-30 minutes. Could include that they incorporate that you need to do it with a friend and you need some great teamwork of some sort to finish it. Then put some ladders of maybe top 1000 in the world and arrange some prices. Everyone gets a chest with goodies in the very end of the jumping puzzle though.
Abilitys and skills
As of now the PvP(and pve) combat in my opinion do not feel exactly right, I think that we somehow needs more abilitys to make the combat more dynamic than it is. Since 2x weapon and 5 abilitys on each weapon (one autoattack) limits yourself, you cannot really stick out of the mass and do those wicked sick gameplays that I’m looking for. So maybe have 8-10 abilitys that that are insanely unique. I’d like to say though that the trait system is really good and give room for specialisation, which is a key thing for great gameplay. One reason that Gw1 had insane PvP was because of the large variety of abilitys/spells.
Also to finish this up I know that Arenanet is working hard and have big updates coming up in January and February including PvP improvements, spectator mode and things like that. But the features I’ve decided to write about is huge improvements in my eyes that would make me start playing consistently.
I wholeheartedly invite you to discuss my suggestions and give your feedback and input, I really believe in this game and can’t let it go, until it success in my eyes.

legendary weapons: animation must become better in my opinion,
there are different kind of staffs,swords,bows,… in short more choses, not the same skill(some special kind of skill different from the other weapons based on the proffesion) make them more worth of being called legendary

Can we get the ability to sell or buy more of an item from the context menu in bank?

Currently, you can buy more of an item from the collectibles tab, but not sell from the tab. I’d like to see both options available from the bank tab itself.

It would be a pretty helpful, and popular, feature in my opinion.

I have some suggestions. Most of them has already been put up by other users and some I might not remember, but I still have a few.

1. When characters use weapon swapping the weapon(s) they used before vanishes and another set of weapons appears. It shouldn’t disappear. It should be visibly stowed the same way as if you were currently using it. This way it will seem more realistic.

2. Wielding a Longbow or Shortbow should also give you something to store the arrows in! Where do they come from?

3. The entrance to every new area shouldn’t be accessable through an asura gate if the location is just on the other side.

4. Wapoints shouldn’t cost you if you are in a relatively close radius. Once i got stuck and had to pay 10 bronze to get to a waypoint that weren’t far away at all. It isn’t much money, but I had low level then and my character was poor.

5. If you have a low level and you want to try WvW, even if you have the level scaling you’ll be defeated almost instantly. This is because the stats of your character improves to Level 80, but the stats of your armor and weapons doesn’t improve much at all. It is the same for dungeons.

6. You shouldn’t be scaled down too much when you enter a low(er) level area. You could get easily defeated if your armor and weapon stats aren’t high enough.

Junya you are most certainly correct. I too am from Australia and I would really appreciate A-net to even consider / look into creating Oceanic Servers. Although it may be a while till that actually happens. Until then we will have to manage with our 200 – 600 ping…….

- Remove commander from pve. Reason theres no need to display a commander in the mini map.

- achievements: make 3 groups instead of 2: pve, wvw, spvp.

- control effects in pve: limit them. Its frustating and annoying if something knockes you down and you can’t do much. I know that theres stability among others but usually it does not last long. Or the same with pull. Ever got pulled 2 times?

- downed state: add auto attack, add target the lowest health foe in range automatically. Add a button like give up i’m annoyed and i’d like to go to the next waypoint.

Hey guys, here is some suggestion of what i think that it would be a good idea to improve and/or add to the game. It would be great if we could select a fixed order for our characters in the character selection screen. Im sure some other people already suggested this, but well its one more for the team. I`m not complaining about the one we have, actually its awesome that the one you used the last is in the front, so you can keep on playing with him. But, I bet that there are some people, like me, who would like to have their characters always in the same order.

It would be great to have an idea of what size is you character in the creation screen, I just deleted my rogue because he was my 1st character and when I was creating him I had no idea what I was doing an all I though when selection the size was “well, I don`t want him to be a giant, and the bar is just up here, we can`t get him to be really small, so probably its the human size, the smaller race probably has access to the lower area.” And i ended up being a dwarf/human.

Also would like to be able to somehow preview how the dyes would look in my characters, before actually buying it. I bought a silver dye, expecting to get a metallic color at my rogue cloths, and it ended up looking like a mix of white and blue colors.

Map group events, i mean the “orange quests” that pops up when you`re walking, they could be visible from anywhere in the world map as long as you had discovered that are before, just like the hearts does. It would make finding quests easier, you would have and easier time finding them to level up and more people would come to them. So well, that`s it.

The game is awesome, and its been out for a short time, what means that there`s a lot of time for improvement and that the game can get even better. Thanks guy!

Okey, lets talk about this “hard to talk topic” I know, I know… a lot of people will say that dungeon finder will destroy community, we will lose communication, people will get angry and mad, there will be no1 to play with etc… etc… but lets talk seriously.
I dont want to mention names but every quite popular MMO have dungeeon finder. Why is it? Because a lot of people dont want to stand in 1 place and searching for other players just because they have to. Imagine just que for dunegon and walk outside city so u can farm some trees or kill few mobs or even play 1 pvp match before u get full team, wouldn’t be that cool? Imagine cross server dungeon finder so u will be able to find group during very late night and super early morning! wow, really? Will that broke community? mmm dont think so… If you dont want to do dungeons with people outside ur server or u are scary of doing this with a pug, u can always stay in that city ald shouting for some times “LFG LFG LFG LFG” I mean if u like that, thats up to you.
So yea, why cross server dungeon finder will be great:
- U can que from anywhere.
- During the waiting time, u can do for example some pvp or go to other city or explore etc…
- U dont have to stay beside dungeon entracne and shouting for good few minutes, hours if u try to do this during the night.
- U can do dungeon DURING THE NIGHT!
I know that a lot of people have a guild, friends and they are playing all the time but please think about people who are without guild, people who dont want join to guild, people who paly on wierd times like 4 am for example, people who like to do dungs with pugs cuz they meet new people etc…
Arenanet can also add money prize for dungeon done as dung finder group. Because we dont have tanks and healers, que will be really fast and friendly for every1.

Another part of this topic are raids. What is ur opinion about raids? Can you imagine playing GuildWars2 and trying to kill super hard dragon with 10/20 members of your guild? Please…for the love of all that is holy, stop nerfing Engineers. It is a BROKEN Class that NEEDS to be fixed. Or better yet, just get rid of the class altogether.

Suggestion regarding Kits:
*When a Kit is Swapped, perhaps the Toolbelt Skills swap with a different set of toolbelt skills to compliment the Kit?

*Rework Tier 3 Trait skills across the board. PERIOD. Some are just headscratchers, and are weak compared to other classes, and in need of SERIOUS IMPROVEMENT.

*Bugs…There are ALOT of them regarding kits (e.g. FT misses more often than not).

*Make Turrets more viable.

*Rifle…Swap Damage Numbers and Range with those of the Warrior’s Rifle Skill.

*Kits, Gadgets, and Elixirs are really clunky and need to be streamlined to something more viable (e.g. larger Elixir Radius). Also, Mortar. It’s sad when a Longbow has GREATER distance than Mortar. Elixirs tossed are worthless, considering your team is constantly moving.

The background image for Wilderness survival is a Bear while Beast Mastery is a bag of supplies. So naturally they should be swapped so each trait is using the correct background. lol

I am sorry that this may be a bit of a repeat, but I didn’t feel like reading 25 pages of post just to make sure (even using the search), and so I would like to emphasize or re-emphasize these things. If there is another place I can throw ideas at let me know, because there is much more to say than what I have here.

1. Improve melee combat (Warriors perspective). I am a warrior class; I love to melee. Yet sometimes I feel like I have to range the whole fight just to stay alive. I realize this will be a great challenge to bring about, but for example: going into the fractals-Ascalon, the warriors will practically one-shot me even though I have 2000 Toughness. Some bosses will hit really hard without giving much of a chance or even a sign to dodge/ even as I learned to be quicker, which is good because it makes me a better player but… I can only dodge twice then leave combat for awhile to wait for healing or endurance. 100-blades is a hit or miss ability. In PvE, it is the ability which in order to use I have to stand still and take all the hits. To help this, Frenzy is nice for its quickness but why give the %50 damage intake to the one class who is most likely going to be in the middle of the fight? Even so, since I die fast anyways, why do we need the extra %50? The best abilities are the ones that allow you to strike and evade at once (ie. whirlwind). 100-Blades has perhaps the best damage build up, but is slow and either the enemy does not stay in it, or the enemy kills you faster than you can kill it. Both of these make it seem to have no point unless nothing is attacking you or your target is snared (in which case forces me to use quickness or immobilize). Anyways I know there is much more to say on this, more details, even mentioning other weapons such as 1h-swords, but in short I would like to melee (especially) bosses more and not be so limited to what I can do in order to make that happen. Just to mention another class, with rangers 1hand, I get stuck in attacking that I can not even move or dodge properly.

2. Dragon fights. I know that many have mentioned about his already, but I will say that I was a little disappointed when coming to Orr and not have a single dragon fight (even fighting three at the same time but having weapons to kill them as fast as a normal fight). Sure there are fights in Arah with the dragons, but I really thought, looking up and seeing lots of dragons, that I may get attacked by 2-5. Add on to the fact that the dragon fights are boring, they just sit around and roar, instead of running around causing fear to the players experience. I feel like it doesn’t matter if I move left or right, the Dragon is just going to go through his routine. When killed the loot is not worth it. Can there at least be one rare with the chance of more rares/exotics? While the fight is easy, making it harder does not mean the dragon one shots everything like the Priest of Balthazzar. Which is frustrating because I spend most of the fight running back even with the 2000 toughness.

3. Events. All the “good” events are usually massed with many players that it is impossible to lose, the only thing that is impossible is getting any loot or credit from the kills. is there a way we can increase the scaling, maybe not more (assuming that more will cause bad lag) but maybe include veterans?

I like seeing the massive number of armies. However, (and this may just be for future reference then an actual change) I think it would be nice to see a meta event to involve a full scale fortress- complete with turrets, catapults, walls, much like the WvWvW experience or even similar to Claw Island Story quest. Maybe this is asking for too much, maybe it might make everyone’s computer crash, I really wouldn’t know, but it is an idea.

4. Loot. Unfortunately everyone needs to feel like things are worth it, and the main judge for its worth is in its loot. So instead of making rare items less rare (which I am guessing you do not want to do), perhaps increase the coin income from these fights?

5. The every day mobs I just want to encourage it more as I have seen it. I like seeing the mobs travel in groups across the mob and not roaming around by themselves in a limited area. When attacking a camp, it is silly just having one enemy come at me at a time while the rest sit still. The most fun I had was in an event when only me and my friend attacked a champion with his army of 22 (2vs22+champ). It was challenging (even over my level), but perhaps one of the most memorable to me (and yes we did succeed).

There is certainly more to say, but I trust that it may have already been covered. Sorry I could not go into more details with these but I hope the point is made.

To be honest this game is great but the only thing i would like to see are better optimized graphics, i don’t have the best graphics card but i can play games like bf3 ect… on high/ultra fine, but i cant play gw2 !
it seems to me that when i put the settings up i start to get a higher fps. please can you do something about these graphics settings/options

Is it possible to give a cooldown to WvW after server restart, or when a new build is introduced? As some people need more time to download and install new files, giving no cooldown to it has only given competitive advantage to those that could download faster.

In the past, there was even a server that took advantage of this, and really excelled after server restart; it managed to wipe most of undefended camp/tower/castle/etc due to this loophole.
