The problem i see at hand is, there are over thousands of dynamic events spread across land of Tyria, yet players only concentrate on a few, and repeatedly try to get more loot on a daily basis, resulting in some maps being left empty, this is unhealthy, it is repetitious, boring and in a worse case scenario, grind will be use to describe your game which it is trying to steer clear of.

That is why, sometime ago, I suggested this
Now I want to elaborate on the above suggestion.

How do you get players interested in the thousand of dynamic events spread across the world of Tyria? Making this a truly Dynamic, Living, Breathing and Changing Tyria.

One thing that drive players to play are 1) rewards 2) rewards 3) rewards. Don’t kid ourselves here, everyone at some point would want that sparkly animated weapon.

How do you do that? You create Chain Event that is scale to the numbers of player[s] with choices which eventually lead to the map’s end boss who has [a] No Timer [b] More ways of ending an event, ©mega boss fight at the end of the chain event that gives player their chest reward.

How to direct players at these events
1) in the case when a player enter a map with an on going chain event started by other players, they will be notify that said event is going on, if they wish to join, they will be teleported to that location but the event is on-going and they might not get the “full reward” therefore they have a choice of [a] accept to teleport [b] decline, i’ll start my own chain of event *

2) scenario 1 in the case of [b] decline, i’ll start my own chain of event. Player B decide to start their own chian from the beginning, their event will end with the map boss where they are last seen, point where the boss went to after player A ended their chain [player A may have located map boss at X but will end at Z and the boss may turn up in K , Therefore player B’s given choice is dependent will be driven towards K, and so on and so forth when player C starts one and it goes on Changing, say tomorrow player A returns, the map boss may have been driven to M. ever changing world.

Every map need to have a mega boss end chest that rewards players per day per account. How players gets to that chest is is up to how they want to do the chain events. How the chain event change the world will make how they play the next day differently.

It is just an idea. I am not a game coding person nor do I know how to design game but I think if a player can login onto a same map everday and gets to do thing differently, that it would be great.

How about have a living world timeline similar to the personal story diary, so that players can have a reference to present and past living world events.
