Being that I just bought ascended accessories for two characters after saving laurels since the first day (and I didn’t miss a daily or monthly since)… and put MF% in the slots..
I have an idea for how to take out magic find without upsetting people too much..
When the day comes, go through each item in a player’s inventory and show a popup letting the player pick what stat they wish to replace it with.
So a Power/Prec/MF armor would get a popup offering Crit/Condition/Vitality or Toughness to replace the MF amount. If you won’t have every option of stats available, an even trade for any other matching item would accomplish similar results.
(it would be nice to unsoul/account bound items that have been, so a player who doesn’t need the extra set of gear can sell it off)
For each MF sigil,rune, etc, offer the same trade-over to another piece.
If you’re already thinking about dynamically adjustable stats on the legendary, the same code could probably be repurposed for this.
I’m a little confused about why you created the celestial armor right before you announced nixing MF, as that is the best reason to create it.. I don’t mind that it goes (well, I do mind because I put all the effort in to make the crystals, etc) but please don’t go too fast, I finally have a decent set of armor with MF that isn’t “unfair” (rolls eyes) I’d like to take advantage of all I spent on it for a while.
