A topic was started a little while about night capping, otherwise known as pvdooring, and was answered and locked by Mark Katzbach who said
“We have said this multiple times.
Guild Wars 2 is a global game. We have no plans to lock out any content based around one time zone’s primetime at the detriment to the other time zones. If your world is having trouble holding ground outside of your primetime, you will need to increase player presence during those hours to defend your ground."
And while I agree that people shouldn’t be locked out of playing just because they are in a different timezone, why cant a system that gives points for kills be implemented into WvW? Sure it’s not going to stop pvdooring, but it will make it so a server’s skill level is factored in, rather than solely on coverage, and hopefully bring more strategy to WvW.
