Guild Wars 2

Quick question to the devs: Why aren’t there any official videos explaining the history/lore of Guild Wars to new players? I think this is one area ANet missed the boat, as the player is just thrown in to the game without any previous explanation of the events that transpired in GW1 at all. Yes we get caught up in the last couple of years, but nothing helping us find grounding to latch on to.

I understand there are unofficial videos on YouTube that explain some of the events that happen, but it would be REALLY nice to have some kind of video series that outlined the history of Tyria etc.

Yes you can play GW1 and invest in a considerable amount of time learning the history, you can read the wiki (which doesn’t seem to really give a great overview) and you can read the books, but most players aren’t going to do this. Or should I say, many of us don’t have the time TO DO all this. I’ve read the books, and the wiki PLUS the unofficial videos and I still feel like I know very little about the lore.
