Make Commander Account Wide
One of the reasons why I am not wasting the 100g on that. Not that I would even ask guildies for contributions for it.
Get it taken down -
Do whatever it takes if you care about this game -
No need to make a new post. This needs more attention. I would like to play something else in WvW but I am not going to pay 100g again, nor should I have to.
Agreed. Also why I am deterred from purchasing.

Since i have no characters that have commander, cause I am working on my legendary. What are the benefits of having Commander ?
Honestly, it’s not hard to make 100g, but I do agree that having it only on one character is very disappointing. I would suggest hiking the price up to 150-200g and making it apply to the whole account.

You get your own personal zerg army every time you enter WvW.

So you mean people are more inclined to follow the Blue chevron around, other than that there is no actual benefit. Like the ability to build stuff cheaper or give spot commands on the map?
Cause if this is correct the past few days I been doing WvWvW more than Usual for World completion. I lead 60 people better than the two people with Commander, so much better that everyone stopped follow their bossy commands and followed mine. With in the hour we took the four area’s that the two commanders have been trying ( according to people playing ) hours to get and never getting more than one at a time.
So I guess why do you even need it in the first place? I could understand if it gave you something else other than a shining metal lol. If people know you ( as I got about 10 new friends that day ) they will listen to you regardless of chevron or not. Just a thought

Thing is, if you had the commander icon, those 2 people would probably be following you. Not only that, being a commander gives you access to commands that can prove to be beneficial if people join your squad (Up to 50 people).
For example, the /squadinfo command tells your how many people are in your squad, their names, and how many supplies each one of them have as well as a running total of how many supplies you have altogether. With this knowledge, you can determine if it would be better to assault the tower or take the supply camp first.
There is a /supplyinfo command that allows you to see the supplies that people nearby you have that are no in your squad. This can be beneficial as well, but not as much as the former.
Lastly, you are able to mark locations of interests with special command markers such as “Defend” “Attack” and “Rally”. This makes it easier for you to coordinate your group.

I would love to see Commander be made account wide. I don’t use it for WvW, but I do use it for cross guild alliance chat. If I could have that chat available regardless of what character I wanted to play at the time it would be a great benefit.

Now you see that is a different story, I didn’t realize there was added benefits to that, as I stated I do not have it nor did I know what it did for you.

I like that it is character specific.
I am not a commander.
I like to know who the commanders are when I enter the map. If it is account wide then some guy that has 20 characters will have 20 commanders. How am I supposed to know who that is at a glance? There are certain names that I have come to know, and I will follow them even when they do not have their commander icon turned on. I will follow them to other maps if they move because I know they do a good job.
