Hello I would like to propose a new item for the item shop, a Trait Refund item, that would allow you to re-spec on the go any place anywhere. I know I would use them like crazy.

Anyone else agree or disagree with this?

I love the idea. My greedy self wouldn’t want it tied to a consumable in the gem store though, unless they offered a one time purchase like bank tabs. The consumables they offer are way overpriced IMO, and I would be afraid these would cost like 250 gems each. Allow us to purchase a one time item, and then we pay a small fee in silver when we are in the field and want to change. I’d be good with that.

You know, considering I main Mesmer and experiment with builds often . . . I’d absolutely love an item like this. Especially if implemented like Odius suggests.
Only thing is: however it happened, account-bound is the way to go (particularily if it’s a consumable.)

Account bound vs Character bound is all determined on the price they want to change. I would prefer account bound, for sure. However, I know they probably like to limit one time purchases since they want a continual revenue stream. Character bound would be ok as long as the price is right. Why not have all three options, priced accordingly?

-One time use [25 Gems] (without a silver in the field fee)
-Per character use [400 Gems] (10 silver fee for each use)
-Per account use [1200 Gems] (10 silver fee for each use)

Cool I’m glad people enjoy this idea, I really like to expire net with specs in all aspects of the game, and this would help.
