I am not sure how this will be received, but I got to level 80 before doing most of my personal Story.

Now when I do them I get assigned level 40-50-60 gear as a reward.

I was wondering whether or not it would be fair to have these items scale up to the level you complete the quest at?

Please consider this, thank you.

I support this idea! I have been over level when I completed parts of my personal story because dying and then starting over just felt wrong to me. If I am dead, end of story.

Not a good idea… This would then “penalize” the players that did their storyline as they leveled (which is what the game encourages). So better leave it as it is.

If it gave them gear to help them advance how would that ‘penalize’ them?

Gear according to level, which is generally blue in rarity, isn’t end game gear.

Doing it at 80 should get you level 80 blues not level 40 blues.

I’m wearing all rare and some exotic, I see no problem with raising the rewards especially the silver for completing based on your level.

Better to give gear someone can mystic forge or use than to waste their time with gear they don’t need.

“Why should I run my storyline quests and get lvl 20/40 stuff, when I can run it at 80 and get lvl 80 stuff? Why wasn’t I warned about this?”

It’s not a direct penalty, but it would be a penalty. Lvl 80 items are worth more than lvl 20-30 items. So if I run it at my level, I would be “losing out” on those… Whether it is vendor money, or item power. A loss is a loss.
