Please let us redo story missions freely!
Nice idea. And since all the steps are already listen in the Personal Story tab of our Hero panel they could add a “replay mission” button for each step there.
This is a great idea. There are some I would really like to revisit.
Yea it would be really simple to add. In GW1 you could revisit eeach mission along each story quest and do them
As far as I know, ANet doesn’t like people repeating quests for their rewards. Fair enough, they can arrange it in the way that gives reward only for the first time, but repeatable.
he is saying repeating campaigns. repeating campaigns never gave any extra reward in gw1.
they could allow this in gw2 with the same no rewards.
but there are alot of little bits of instances so this will be a little different to implement. but i’d like this to be done also. it is a very nice option.
but i think i may be the minority since most people dont care about campaigns.
I’d love to see the ability to redo a step in the personal story (without additional rewards), just in case you missed something.
I had a personal story step where a conversation started and then a cut scene cut it off 2 seconds in. I tried to reset by walking out of the mission area and it considered the mission completed and moved me to the next one.
That is pure bad design, and there needs to be a way to redo a mission or revisit past missions, just for the story component. Think of all the people who lost out on the story due to bad design and bugs in the story lines.
I don’t want rewards. I just want to live this story again, without spending 80 hours to level up my champion.
Please allow me to do that!
I would also like to see the other choices I didn’t take.
They could make something like a “diary of the mists” in your home instance (in your default house or living quarters, or wherever your house is after they add housing).
Using it, you would be able to replay any story in your personal story, as the character ‘remembers’ it, and also play fictional scenarios, ‘what ifs’ that are actually the character wondering what would have happened if he chose the other choice, so you can play those too, but that do not affect your story and instances.
Of course, since they are replays just for the sake of it, there won’t be rewards, other than drops from the enemies, if any.
At least let me rewatch the cinematics so I can help out the wikis I frequent.
I’d love this. Not just for cut scenes and dialog, but to see how different choices play out, or be able to try fights again.
For example, my thief was born as a noble. For the level 10 personal story quest she had a choice of a few different characters, to fight a pair of veteran NPCs. My thief got utterly slaughtered. I’m not sure if it was because my choice in pairing wasn’t ideal, or I just didn’t know what to expect. But I’d like to try again to test out. Without having to have a spare character slot and leveling up to the point of the quest.
And of course I would expect that repetition would not provide rewards. Just like missions in Guild Wars 1.
That would be awesome. No rewards, just play through the content again. It would give us a chance to share them with friends, too, friends who may not have been around the first time you ran through those missions. I love the fact that you can bring friends into your story instances, and I find myself halting my story progress, until timezones and scheduling permits my friends to be around to share in the experience with me.
Yea iwouldnt want the rewards either, unless they put a hardmode version, that’d be fun.
