Don´t you really read all the posts and all the topics relating to the same problem.

Did you at least noticed that this a post 2 monts old?

All right I will clarify something.

1 – Story mode, it´s almost racial based, if you change races how they could adjust to your new race, your decisions?
2 – If you are one of those kitten the story mode, well if they put more stories in this game based on your actual race (not the changed) imagine how broken things can be in the future. And if your future story be broken you will come here again complaining that it´s broken.
3 – Tere are RACIAL equips, and will not be just a change to another race because we have BOUND systems.
4 – We have RACIAL SKILLS and most people don´t even buy this skills, or they have a very different funcionality in most cases.

So if you want another class, just delete your char and create a new ONE, don´t come with this ideas to create more bugs than necessary.

1. Just let them restart their personal story and don’t allow them to get any rewards until they reach the point they were at on the last personal story….problem fixed.

2. number 1 pretty much explains this also…your fear of it being broken is irrational.

3. Tier armor can just change over to other races tier armor….don’t cry out about BOUND mechanism….when you changed from a guy to a girl in guild wars 1 the armor had to change with you, so argument is invalid on this one.

4. Getting the other Racial skills is a major part of this thread, unless you didn’t read the OP, People can either save up more skill points to get their racial skills again that could be a price for changing races or anet could just give them the racial skills based on how many they purchased.

Please don´t try the dumb mode, there are LOTS of tie in in the RACE system of the game. The ones we are talking are just the ones we CAN SEE, try to imagine how much we can´t see.

Did you read what i wrote? Previous writers pretty much destroyed you so I don’t have to explain anything more than that the reason I brought this up is beacuse when this thread was made the gender-change didn’t excist. Now that it does, and it’s no bugs from what I’ve heard, I really think they should make race-change available.

That is a Moderator that has clearly stated it will not happen.

I don’t know how much more clear people need it, I read through this thread and with in 2 post of that Moderator saying this information, people were stating a case that was again asking for it. How much more concrete information do players need?

I wish a Moderator would just lock this and all threads like this, and just end this useless QQ about race change.

I could see profession changes, but not race changes.

Characters have their personal stories.
If you just ‘skipped’ to the story of other race, or keept your original race’s story would not work. that’ll make no sense.
And starting over while keeping your level, would not be a solution either.

quite easy, discovering ur race is too big to play pvp with for example.

ehmm size do not have any gameplay altereing matter in pvp, beside spvp can be done from lvl 1 no problem, and wvw at least is very doable from 30+ but technically can be done at 2 as well (need to complete the tutorial first)

I have no idea why people are getting so very upset about this. I know it should be technically possible to do, and a lot of people seem to want it and other people having it does not take away from my enjoyment of the game (although I’d probably never use it). But since ANet doesn’t want to there isn’t a lot we can do. I’m sure ANet would much rather focus on other content, or perhaps their database is one of those things that’s kept together only by the grace of god and they don’t want to do too many necessary things to it.

Overall however arguing the finer points seem meaningless.

It needs to be balanced equaly, or we need an opportunity to learn other race skills.

When ANet realizes how much they can make from race changes, it will happen. Till then, move along.

ehmm norn forms are the worse racials in the whole game, as for the norn forms as humans could be in blazeridge steps (i think it is) there is a heart that gives the norn raven form, just with a smaller model as part of the objective to do there
