Guild Wars 2

Hey,

yesterday I wondered where I can see how miniatures will look ingame (in animation, not just pictures!), so that I can have a look at them before buying. I didn’t really success in my research (well, I only had a super quick search and found this site: http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/guild-wars-2-mini-pets/727/), but anyway I received an interesting idea…

How about a minipet shop or a zoo where you can see and observe them all?
Maybe they could also implement that you can rent a certain mini for a limited period only with ingame silver (not gold!).
For example: 24h brown bear = 5s (or whatever would be a good deal)

-> they had the time limited halloween weapon skins, so that shouldn’t be that hard to realize?

Maybe they could also make rares or exotics and/ or special minis available.. ?

Positive for players: it is a nice addition for the players (at least I think so ^^)
Positive for Anet: it could serve as a little (!) gold sink

Of course the shop wouldn’t be just a person standing around offering you things. Much more e.g. you would enter a house or a garden or whatever and actually see what is offered. (However there would be of course the attendant with whom you arrange your purchases. ^^)

Well, that was my first thought..a pet shop :-)

And then it does fit with a lot of other ideas I’ve read in the forums..
- a barber shop
- a tattoo shop
- a tavern
- bakery, apothecary …

In my opinion they should add these shops to the main cities and it would revive them.

The idea of additions of buildings / stores is not bad, it would appear the occassion to see a tailor!

Personally, I would like to have the Costume Merchant brought back from GW1. It feels a bit unjust to have to repurchase the same outfit multiple times. At least in GW when you bought the skin, it was yours to keep for any char on the account. The only difference here would be whether or not that char is capable of using it, which is not hard to distinguish.

i like the mini pet renting idea… but maybe have the minis rotate every so often (so the whole selection isnt available at once) so perm versions arent trivialised

I like the idea, instead of having a dozen merch symbols, a single symbol which reads the vendor type for that store. Dungeon gear, different consumables, a bar (the game sells alcohol, and yes you can get drunk!) And gem symbols for a salon to buy the hair cut and character redesign kits, etc. I like the idea of seeing the pets, not sure about renting, don’t want to upset the people who paid for them.
