Suggestion - Dev's time for a day
As long as nothing that changes game or area difficulty or any major gameplay changes are included, I think that’s a pretty nice idea.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

I don’t think this would be an issue here, as anything that would involve major gameplay changes would require more than an hour or so to implement anyhow. This is more for tidbit UI changes, an extra option in a drop down, cosmetic changes, etc.
I really like this idea, It’d be awesome if they were to do something like this.
I don’t really see how this would make a big impact on this game, most games don’t have monthly updates and then i would see this being an amazing idea.
However, as Anet are releasing a update every month anyway it’s basically the same, we write our suggestions/bugs/glitches here so that anet can fix them when they can depending on how important they are.
I would much rather anet work on the most important issues first and worry about the small cosmetic things when they have time to. This idea would force anets resources to work on these ideas instead of working on other issues that might be much more important

+1 to this.
In an industry where updates on a 6-month cycle are considered frequent, monthly updates of the scale we have been receiving (noting that this includes the iniital post-release support and a lot of major holidays) accomplishes the same or better, im[ns]ho.

I’m not sure how many MMO’s you have played, but almost all the ones I’ve played (and I’ve easily played 15+ MMO’s) they almost all have had regular, if not monthly updates they do.
As for working on important issues first, these are important issues that would be handled, but instead of being a big huge forum (that gets no response from ANet) that has a ton of suggestions, this would allow the dev team to focus on the issues that would impact the majority of players, but at the same time, be easy enough to implement within an hour or so on average. I don’t see how this isn’t a win/win situation, we get actual communication and feedback about our suggestions, and the dev team implement features that help out the majority of the players, not adding a new fuzzy hat.
I couldn’t agree more that I don’t want to see more mini pets added, or another cool town clothing style added before some of the key issues are addressed, but you also have to understand that in most MMO’s, the artists are not the developers either, so by them adding a new fuzzy hat or mini pet flavor of the month, this doesn’t impact the dev team.
